    Been riding since 16 yrs old. In 1988 . All weather rider. Last bike was 12 years ago. Cbr 1000. Finally some old friends and a few relative's decided we would all get bikes and ride. I got a clean 2012 r6. At almost 50. Its a bit uncomfortable to ride. But the thrill and love for sportbikes still flows through my veins. And on Sundays. I get to feel a bit like i did at 21 years old in the Military in North Carolina. When i bought my 1st sportbike. A 1993 FZR 600. Great rides on the East coast. Great ride this Sunday. Heres to you !!!!

    Im getting a bike soon and i can't decide between a 2012 Yamaha R6 or a Kawasaki Ninja Zx-6R 636.
    Between speed, handling, appearance, and gas mileage, which is better?

    The R6 is a bit higher than other supersports. I'm mostly torso, so I can't flatfoot it. But I rest easy on the balls of my feet. So not quite tiptoes.

    hey man, if u live in canada, i have a few question. How tall do you have to be? how much do you pay for ur insurance? insurance of car vs insurance of bike which one is more expensice? if you get ur m2 can you buy bikes like these and drive them?
    replying will help me out a lot. thanks

  • @Drew-NL

    Hey! was wondering how you did with your wrists on the road? I had a cbr 600 rr my former dream bike wich was stolen. And I thinking about saving up for an r6 but the thing that is holding me back is that 80% of the riders complain about their wrists after 20minutes.... let me know? Andrew

  • @WhiteTigerBlackWolf
    @WhiteTigerBlackWolf 12 лет назад

    The passenger thinks you should consider fixing the slipperiness of the passenger seat so the passenger's wrists aren't as sore after riding around for a few hours. And so you don't complain about me bumping into you all the time :)

    I would move that license plate back where it was. Mine sat like that and the next thing I knew my tail light cracked because the tire shot a rock right up to it. And it stinks because my r6 is a 2012 and it has an aftermarket brake light with a crack.

  • @Gino20202
    @Gino20202 11 лет назад

    What kind of turn signals are those (front & rear)? Do they blink fast or did you use a relay to slow the blink rate down to normal? You should make a video of the rear signals. There are so many out there, I don't want to make the mistake of getting a pair that looks cheap or trashy.

  • @Lostboheme
    @Lostboheme  11 лет назад

    Not at all! My buddy who is 6' even rode it just fine. He said his legs felt a little too high up but you can adjust foot height if you really want to with some aftermarket pegs.

  • @Lostboheme
    @Lostboheme  11 лет назад

    I'm about 5'8". I'm a bit shorter on Yamaha than other bikes. I'm not completely flat foot but I'm not tip toes either. I got used to it and it feels fine. I ride pretty close to the tank so I can get as much grip with my knees as possible for those quick launches.

  • @Lostboheme
    @Lostboheme  11 лет назад

    I'm pretty sure you'd be just fine. The cornering isn't as tight, the throttle is a bit touchy and the suspension is a lot stiffer, but you'll feel it all out on your first ride. Check my other vid out for the nuances I can't detail here!

  • @Lostboheme
    @Lostboheme  11 лет назад

    I don't remember the brand name I got, but they're a simple set of smoked lense flush mount turn signals in the front and integrated turn signals in the back. I had the option to use a relay to slow the blink but I prefer not to, just because I think the faster strobe catches attention easier. Safer that way, in my opinion. Kind of a "LOOK HERE I AM I'M TURNING!"

  • @Lostboheme
    @Lostboheme  12 лет назад

    @Zlurz I've got a couple in the works, no worries! I picked up a GoPro to do some on the road videos and I've been waiting for the mic adapter to come in. I did a couple test videos and all you can hear is wind. But I do have a light install video that should be posted as soon as I'm back from the holidays this weekend!

  • @Lostboheme
    @Lostboheme  11 лет назад

    They are higher but it's not uncomfortable. But if you're like me, you've got little legs and more torso.

  • @jkinjazz
    @jkinjazz 11 лет назад

    Does the r6 heats up alot??? like.... will i get that hot feeling on my legs if im riding the bike??? know what i mean?

  • @Lostboheme
    @Lostboheme  11 лет назад

    With my old R6 I had some wrist issues after a couple of hours, but that all goes away the more you ride. I replaced the grips to some gel grips and it removed the problem right away. On the 2012 I haven't needed to replace the stock grips, they're actually very comfortable.

  • @Lostboheme
    @Lostboheme  11 лет назад

    Pretty much everything. I'm being lazy and letting the shop put the gpr on my bike next week but other than that I do everything I can. It wasn't too hard to learn, just have to look up how-to videos. Which is why I started making some!

  • @Lostboheme
    @Lostboheme  11 лет назад

    Best thing you could do is sit on every make and model in the shop, and ask about adjustable pegs. I think GSXRs are pretty good for people.

  • @simpleflipR6
    @simpleflipR6 5 лет назад

    You’re wobbling because your tires are either uneven or the balance is off. Ive has 3 of there 08, 08, 12 currently and you’re better off spending your money on learning how to adjust the suspension. These bikes have the best geometry once you learn how. Gpr would stiffen it up. It will slow you down in corners.
