I have become addicted to vintage percolators. My favorite right now that I use daily is a PYREX Flameware 4-6 cup percolator. That's for the leisure mornings and time is of no concern. On mornings I sleep in and need fast coffee I go to my vintage Farberware Superfast 4 cup. It's a little workhorse and makes great coffee. Making good coffee on the stovetop is an art. But once you master it, it's the best coffee. Just never let the coffee boil is the key.
Omg that is theeeeee craziest packing/shipping job I have ever seen. And don't evvvvver wrote "fragile" on anything u send....that handlers will throw w it @ extra hard.... trust!!!!!

What basket lid did you use? My 9 cup didnt come with one either....

Wait, why did you perforate the disc filter?
I don’t think that this model came with a cover for the percolator basket. Every picture that I have seen of this type does not have the cover. Maybe the lid acts as the “spreader” for the water.
