I will never forget the first time I saw the canyon. There are no words and you can't capture it in a photo. It truly is incredible! I remember standing right where you were. Thank you for taking me back, Russ!
Pictures do not do it justice. Until you stand on one of those points, and look out over the expanse, you can never truly understand just how big that thing is.
Years ago while viewing the canyon from approximately this location, I spotted small plane (4-6 seats) fly into the canyon. It got smaller and smaller as I watched it - I blinked and I lost track of it because it was so small in comparison to the backdrop. HOLY SH** THIS CANYON IS HUGE! It's 26 miles across at that point.
Relieved to see the canyon still there after my visit more than fifty years ago! Just as majestic and awesome as I remember. Thanks for sharing. Really enjoy your videos.

I’m 72 years old. Visited first time when I was 16, second time when I was 18 last time when I was 52. All from trips from Connecticut. There are no photos or videos that show how stunning it really is. Everyone should see it in person, it wii literally take your breath away! First time to the edge, you will not believe it’s real, trust me. Still at my age, the best thing I’ve ever experienced! An absolutely must see. Thank you for your great video!
Really enjoyed the video. We took the train from Williams to the canyon, so it was interesting to see how most tourists first see the canyon. Also, for some reason we didn’t run across the visitor center on our trip so it was great to see that too
You said that you wondered wether the squirrel, watched, Rver T.V. Well, as I mentioned to you before, I don't drive, so I certainly watch, which is about the only way, that I will see these places. Thank you.
I was at the Grand Canyon when I was 12 back in 1967. I don't remember any amenities besides the mule rides. We were on our way to Disney Land from flat Central Indiana. I think I liked Grand Canyon the best. Thanks for sharing
My husband and I are taking a tour, including two days at the GC the second week of September. We'll be staying at a lodge in the village. I can hardly wait.
I'd like to THANK YOU for taping the Grand Canyon. This is my first view of this at age 63. It gave me " butterflies" to see (thanks to your good camera) the depth of the canyon. Wonder what humans thru the ages have thought of the canyon. Waiting for next video!
I got to spend 23 days in the GC - white water rafting on the Colorado River. It took me a year to digest the experience and figure out how to describe it: toughest thing I’ve ever done, indescribable beauty, laughing and screaming through big rapids. Incredible. And I’d never do it again! One and Done! Wouldn’t have missed it.
Coulda swore I heard that squirrel say "Hey Russ"!! :-) Never been interested in traveling the world but, the one place I always wanted to see was the Grand Canyon. Must be the most dramatic place in the world. Thank you Russ.
Thank you for this video! I have been there just a few days earlier 😍 I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of this place, how wide and big it is. So wonderful and it was nice to see it all again 😍
It's been probably 20 years since I've been to the GC. Looks like the visitor center has changed a bunch. I heard there was a skywalk over the canyon wall at one of the visitor centers. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this video. You did a great job of discussing what you're seeing & doing. I notice the crowds are thin - that is so exciting. We're going in a couple of weeks. I've been before in April & it was pleasant temps with not a ton of other tourists. We stayed all day & sunset was unbelievable.
I went on a rubber rafting trip through the Grand Canyon back in 1975, We went in at Flagstaff and got out somewhere past cottonwood. They were something like 10 men/women rafts, I didn't know that the rapids were going to be that big, but once you start you can not get out, the walls went straight up on each side of the river.
Don't know what camera your using but am enjoying the clarity of the footage when you slow down. One can see the layers in the rock and the leaves on the trees. The colors of the rock show up real good. Your doing a bang up job on the footage. I can get board otherwise but you do hold my attention. Awesome video and take care. See you tomorrow perhaps.
Russ, another gem, you're nailing it my friend, wonder if you read any story board on hiking as there are many hiking trails, I remember 10 years ago I said to my wife, lets go for a hike and she calmly said, take a hike, I have been hiking since. Ha! Ha! Great Video!
Every time we go to the GC, it is so nice to look for a very short time and then we say: "..OK, now what??" Just like going to Mount Rushmore... there is "just so much" you can do before it get's boring. I used to think it would be fun to see how far you can throw a rock at the GC, but that is a big No No! A helicopter ride would be very nice. Now, Yellowstone is nice to visit.. so many spots to drive to. Anyways, I know it's just my opinion. Nice video, though.
Hello ! New sub ! It is in dead a magical place thank’s for bringing us there so much souvenirs ! From Boisbriand Québec, we were in GC last summer, left from our place whit our camping trailer for a 84 days trip in the Canadian Rockies and western United. Still editing on this awesome trip . All the changes but not much in visitor child safety. The end of lookout shows how much park management cares about you losing a child from a slip or fall.
I will never forget the first time I saw the canyon. There are no words and you can't capture it in a photo. It truly is incredible! I remember standing right where you were. Thank you for taking me back, Russ!

Awesomely breathtaking. Been there twice. Everyone should be able to experience it. Thanks. Love ya. Karen
Beautiful! We liked the North Rim the best ... less crowded and more natural ... home of the Kaibab Squirrel (it only lives in the Northern Rim).
Really enjoyed the video. We took the train from Williams to the canyon, so it was interesting to see how most tourists first see the canyon. Also, for some reason we didn’t run across the visitor center on our trip so it was great to see that too
Went there in mid May, it snowed the first morning we were there, but it was gone in about 20 minutes after the sun came out. Thanks for the memories.
This is an amazing place. I visited it Dec. 2018 with my family. You refreshed my memories.
A lot less people on the north rim. Cooler too. Too bad you are in a hurry. It's worth the trip.
Thank you so much for your videos! I appreciate your time and effort doing all this for your online viewers to enjoy! ❤️
Canyon magic. It steels a piece of your heart 💜
You said that you wondered wether the squirrel, watched, Rver T.V. Well, as I mentioned to you before, I don't drive, so I certainly watch, which is about the only way, that I will see these places. Thank you.
The visitors center has really improved over the years.
Greetings from CT! Love your Videos!!! Thanks for making us love your travel style.

It's a great park. The last time I was there a few years ago, I had some big billowy clouds over the canyon. I would like to see it at sunset.

There's no way I would look over those rails. I feel electrical shock and dizziness.
Which side was this? Was this the south entrance?
Yes, worth every penny, $35 for the whole family per car, where west rim is $60 person.
It'll be fun watching you ride a donkey down to the Phantom Ranch...you have no excuse not to
😎👍👍
you can see they were buildings
Bambi is an elk not deer

Brasil / São Paulo Very good ok .....help Amazônia ok is world !
If you drop your phone, don't forget to say BYE.
According to maps of America in 1800's Grand Canyon didn't exist, just a giant lake above, what's the true story
Bambi is an elk not
poor timing to enter park....
