The Seahawks originally began in the NFC in their expansion year of 1976 and would not return to the NFC until 2002 when the NFL realigned the conferences and divisions for the Texans. The Buccaneers started in the AFC in 1976 and switched to the NFC in 1977
This was the game Ditka would later regretfully say he felt terrible for Tom Landry cause it sure looked like they ran up the score. In the post game handshake Landry just said “you guys are good” and walked away from Ditka, Mike’s mentor and former Coach. He said he asked Buddy Ryan to “call off the dogs” to which Buddy replied “get the fuck out of here”.
Watched that Raiders/Bengals game. Lyle Alzado's last game...blew out his Achilles. Remember it being pretty boring and the Raiders won something like 13-6
The Buccaneers were not so good back then, but their uniforms and helmets were far better looking then than they are now. The "Bucco Bruce" logo with the dagger clinched between his teeth and the wink in his eye is a classic. In just their 4th year after starting 0 and 26, the Buccaneers, quarterbacked by Doug Williams, very nearly reached the Super Bowl. I think I'll start a petition for the Buccaneers to go back to their original uniforms. I'm sure Tom Brady would not mind a bit! The eighties were the days of real smash mouth football! Bring back the eighties!
Could watch this all day....great times back then
wow. a trip back in time. glad im back. :)
That commercial at 8:32 is Iconic!

I'm gonna make Michigan a six point favorite lol love Jimmy give us those picks
Rams were so good that year until they got crushed in the NFC championship
The next week saw the unbeaten Chicago bears open a can of whopping on the Atlanta Falcons 36-0
Come back Madden games aren't the same without you.
That New England/Seattle game that was on NBC then would be on CBS now, but as an interconference game (with Seattle in the NFC now).

I seem to recall the Greek always picking against the Bears. I know he picked the Rams over Chicago in the NFC Championship Game.
