      It activates healthy cells. It does nothing in that regard to cancer cells, quite the opposite. It heals and aids in ridding of “zombie” cells.
      It’s not this extreme skincare that people are making it out to be.
      It’s not like it’s being injected into people’s bloodstreams.

      I am not a biomedical student but I am also paranoid to try anything that is penetrating onto the skin, touching the nerves system and sometimes going too deep and go into the bloodstream. I always need a 20 years study when it comes to new ingredients going viral. I don't even trust the retinoid family yet even if some professionals swear by it to be safe IN LONG term. What blocks me is even derms still don't recommend it during pregnancy and breastfeeding so why should I use it ? If it's harmful for the womb then it is for my inner system too. That's why retinoids are so controversial even though the results are amazing.

      @@kimgroslouis5587 You are very wise. You know if I had to tell you what I learned in a nutshell it would be: any dysregulation in the cell signalling = possible cancer.
      Preclinical studies don't mean anything, the entire body is made up of cells and everything is connected. Some singular cells in a dish won't behave the same way as the cells in a living organism. And even if it does reach human studies and it's proven successful there's no way to know the long term effects for sure. When a product is first commercialised it doesn't mean it's safe, it means it hasn't yet be proven to be harmful and all of us are the next guinea pigs. That's why you see some products be removed from the shelves after years

      See now this! Is one of the questions that I have not heard of being brought up, not once, to these people on interviews that are putting out products like Plated, Neogenesis, Calecium…these people with the companies that have been interviewed by RUclips’s haven’t been asked any actual important questions in regards to how their products work on the skin.

      @@claudialupper exosomes are derived from cells that exist in many if not all of our biological fluids. exosomes have to be isolated, usually within a centrifuge. the thing is... anytime we use them in our lab, to prevent degradation, we freeze them. like OP said i don't even think they can be stored at normal temps. i'm just a research assistant though, but i'm a clinical lab science major and have a good amount of experience working with exosomes within an eye context.

    Dr Dray! What is your opinion on face twitching when using devices like microcurrent? RUclipsr Beauty Beyond 40 just covered this topic, saying it ages your face!! but many people in the comment section disagree. The video is called "Just Say NO to EMS! Facial Twitching is Aging Your Face!"

    • @stealthis

      I'm also quite interested in this topic because the microcurrent mode on the medicube booster pro is crazy strong. This device can pull your entire eyebrow up when passing over it. Even level one can produce twitching. Seems a lot of these microcurrent companies are now just juicing their devices since some consumers think they "aren't doing anything" (foreo is quite guilty here)... But if twitching actually causes problems, then these microcurrent devices are actually worthless.

I have been on MRT (formally known as HRT) for a couple of months now. I take progesterone tablets & apply transdermal estrogen gel to my arms every evening. It's going really well for me, so I look forward to adding the estrogen cream to my health & beauty regimen... both for the intended purpose and also for the off- label benefits. Vaginal estrogen cream can provide so many benefits for women's health (that don't get discussed "over the dinner table" 🤐🤭). One doesn't have to be on MRT/HRT to use the vaginal estrogen cream, but this is something that one needs to discussed with their physician to make sure that it's right for them.

    Anecdotal: I had a 22 year old massive pock mark scar in the middle of my forehead. Nothing has helped it. After 7 weeks Plated has made it disappear 50% of the way. I wasn't expecting it at all, that's not what I purchased the Plated for. However, I one day looked in the mirror and was like, "Where is my scar?"

    I'm still a bit confused. Are exosomes and growth factors the same thing?

    • @db-gb5xi
      @db-gb5xi 7 дней назад

      Supposedly growth factors are more targeted compared to exosomes.

    • @annamarie8168
      @annamarie8168 7 дней назад

      The exosomes help your body produce and speed up its own healing processes and produce its own growth factors. Turning on dormant cells, cells become more dormant and slow down as we age. Again, encouraging healthy cell rejuvenation..within that process, comes ridding the skin of senescent cells and abnormalities.

      It’s really not as scary and potentially harmful as people are making it out to be. Quite the opposite but I agree that further research still needs to continue.

    Years ago I worked for a functional med doctor who was extremely interested in including exosomes in her practice(she was previously a neurologist at a major hospital in ca) anyways we found a seemingly reputable company to work with promising data and studies behind their product so then the question came up of where they were getting the exosomes from and the question was dodged and answered in such a way that made us extremely uncomfortable. I’m sure they must have been fetal based off that alone. Idk there’s a lot of data lacking to show efficacy and safety in my opinion as well as the moral issue.

    There are a lot of medications that are necessary for you, yet not good for the baby... there are some medications that are good for the baby but aren't necessarily good for you (immunosuppressants that prevent your body from attacking the baby)

    What even are exosomes? Are they similar to cica reedles?

    • @stealthis
      @stealthis 4 дня назад

      That's a different topic, spicules are just a way to make tears or cuts into the skin to deliver something deeper. Exosome is like a care package at the cellular level to get things going. This one also uses speckles but they are based from a sponge. Not sure too much about the vt riddles, but right now it's trendy to include spicules and exosomes in the same product

    I've seen people using exosomes with micro needling on tiktok at home. I still get nervous with microneedling at home. How are people going to make sure they are properly and consistentantly cleaning these tools in between use, to avoid infection. Also another current upcoming topic is the use of Ozempic for anti aging... I'm curious to know what doctors think about this, outside the influence of pharma dollars.

    • @anastasiazazulina6111

      Regarding microneedling, you can use dermapen which has one-time use needle cartridge, so it’s sterile every time. Also gloves and alcohol wipes are very helpful 😊

    Do you have videos for older women who suddenly have skin that’s oily? I always had an oily T-zone, but now my entire face is oily. I’m so lost because my skin is also sensitive and also all the aging products seem so heavy. Day and night I have an oil slick and I wasn’t prepared for this at all. 50SPF is nice and light, but ugh….
