Aside from completely ignoring the fact that the makers of the movie incorporating practical effects of real tornado footage from real storm chasers in this movie along with the CGI as this movie is not all CGI, this actually wasn’t a bad review and not a 7 this time around for once.
Go in. Have fun. Feel some emotions as you fill the popcorn bucks with butter. This film is escapism at its finest. You’re there to just enjoy the time. Not to be the next think piece on Twitter or RUclips. It’s just a fun film.

The first move dropped an actual oil tanker, created practical hail, and had insane practical set pieces to accompany the twisters. This movie is missing almost all of that. They also decided to overlay music with nearly every tornado instead of using creative sound design like the original.

The original was better! Why DO the sequel have 20 bland Country songs as the soundtracks? Every scene is a cliché to the original like Helen hunt's sleeveless white tee which Daisy-Jones wore...etc. etc
You can tell where this dude stands on political spectrum when he is upset that they didn't shove MUH climate change in your face!! Not every movie needs a message shoved in your face. The movie is for entertainment purposes only.
The premise of a group of people “choosing” to go into a tornado, and overcoming challenges, while they have a choice not to, is very uninteresting. Just don’t go in there and problem solved.

Regardless of whether or not they incorporated "real" footage, the end result is still clearly mostly CG.
