Spider-Man web of shadows was so cool in how you could fight on the side of buildings. I remember vividly tearing up chunks of storefronts and stuff too. Then turning into the symbiote spidey and throwing cars and trying to catch them on the way down.

Always love seeing Web of Shadows mentioned. It was my first superhero game and my first exposure to any kind of morality mechanic in a game. The customization unlocks and quick swapping between playstyles were definitely the precursor to Insomniac's Spider Man series, and 12-year-old me thought getting to rip Symbiote-Wolverine in half was one of the coolest things in a video game, but the Wii motion controls were the bane of my existence lol Good video, Jake 👍
Shattered dimensions was very good. Very Smooth and fast paced. Variety of gameplay types with the venom, 2045 and noir spidermen. Don't think it's just your nostalgia speaking. The game was actually pretty great.
OG Marvel Ultimate Alliance was my first dive into Marvel lore and characters, from those trivia questions! I remember playing it for hours with my bros and the cool ass boss battles and character variations were badass
X2 was my childhood nemesis. I didn’t finish it as a kid because I was always stuck during the magneto fight. Recently played it as an adult and beat the game. A single tear ran down my cheek knowing I’ll never have to play this game again and I finally beat the game that was stuck on my mind all these years
That was one of my first git gud games. I remember whining about getting my ass kicked by the teleporting boss over and over and over. I remember thinking the dark tone was cool. "You know what we call that? We call that a web-slingin' ass-kicking." The end of the game you can really tell in hindsight they ran out of budget/time.

Not a lot of people talk about Ultimate Spider-Man from the PS2 era. It was such a fun game with cool comic book type graphics. You could play as Venom and heal by eating people and you got to fight Wolverine as Venom well as race the Human Torch around NYC as Spidey! I wish they would remaster it or at least make it available digitally.
I remember renting the Punisher game from Blockbuster way back when. I don't remember much about the game itself, but I do remember there was a scratch on the disc which caused it to crash every single time in the exact same spot. "It was Bobby's funeral today- funeral today- funeral today- funeral today..." is burned into my brain.
Hell yeah I can’t believe I forgot it but looking back it was a really well executed game, smooth not janky, great visuals dialogue and true to the character. Good upgrades and combat. So sad I can’t get it again

They did port it to xbox one and ps4 then lost the license once again. pretty sad since that was one of the only game activision did that wasn't a cash grab since ages.
X2- Wolverines revenge is a classic. Playing it as a kid was infuriating to say the least, but it was on the games I played back then that actually made me a gamer. It took years to beat the game, I got stuck a lot and gave up after getting mad just to come back to it and try to figure it out. It was bittersweet when child me finally beat it.
I LOVE this list. So many of these played a big part of my childhood, like Wolverine, Punisher, and Web of Shadows (still my favorite Spidey game). Deadpool holds the crown for one of the greatest superhero games, in my opinion. As a big Deadpool fan since the early 90s, this game felt like it was made for me. I remember having to pause the game to recover from laughing at times. It just understood the source material more than most games. Honorable mention to the X-Men Legends games! I wish those were ported and re-released. More X-Men, please!

I keep a Web Of Shadows iso around and used to replay it every couple years. I literally just said to my friend yesterday I wish Ultimate Alliance 3 was on Steam so he and I could play together; and was salty I can't get MUA1&2 on Steam anymore. I also keep a Deadpool iso around and regularly look for a Steam key that isn't insanely priced. If I had to pick just 1 for a remaster or port it would be MUA3. Us superhero nerds need to rise up and beg Disney for a MUA3 PC port already.

Apart from the Arkham games, I grew up with the Deadpool game, web of shadows, shattered dimensions. They were all so good. A few others to mention: DC vs mortal kombat, ultimate alliance 1 and 2
Marvel Nemesis was AWESOME. It gave us something that was very unusual at the time, the chance to play with many characters that weren't usually playable, in their own beat em up missions, like Storm, Elektra, Daredevil, Magneto. It had its playability issues for sure, but I remember it very fondly.
I still have a copy of Deadpool. Loved that game. It was fun and corny, but really just a good time to play. I need to play it again now. Thx for the memories.

My fondest memories is playing *MARVEL: ULTIMATE ALLIANCE* with my cousins. He's prolly the world's biggest Deadpool fanatic so he'd call dibs before we ever got to his house! But it was cool, I was a fan of the Sorcerer Supreme! *MYSTIC MAELSTROM!*
I will never forget the Deadpool game because it was one of the few games that I achieved a platinum trophy for. My experience was far from smooth on the PS4 but I still enjoyed it.
The punisher was one of the first gory games I played when I was younger. I'll never forget throwing people into the tank of piranhas, such a cool game.
Honestly the Deadpool game was so popular in my country it had sold out almost everywhere in stores. You couldn't even buy it online. But after months of searching I finally found it and it still remains one of the greatest games I ever played.
I feel like Ultimate Spiderman doesn't get talked about enough. The art style was so unique that it doesn't 100% feel like a gigantic graphics drop when you go to play it, plus the open world and story are interesting too(featuring venom, electro, rhino, wolverine, and more)
For me Ultimate Spider-man is underrated getting to run around the sitting destroying civilians and heroes as Venom was a total blast and the classic Spider-man (2000) on Ps1 was brilliant and cemented Venom as one of my all time favorite characters. Finally I've been playing through Marvel's Midnight Suns which has been really fun, definitely a more modern forgotten game which I can easily recommend 😁
Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu was a pretty epic coop beat 'em up. It was the first time I encountered the Arkham style timing based combat and it was really satisfying and had good production value, with Kevin Conroy voicing Batman.
Ultimate alliance 3 is epic.. just got it recently and been playing it non stop with my 5 year old son and we’re hooked!! Also captain america on ps3 is one of my favourite games ever!
I have many fond memories of X-Men Legends! Plus it spawned its sequel and the Ultimate Alliance games which I immensely enjoyed. They even made a Justice League clone that i cant remember the name of that was pretty fun as well. I too hope the see an UA 4 in the future
My buddies tried playing that deadpool game during a trip night. My visuals were so insane that when I tried to watch him play, all I could see on the screen was Matrix coding covering everything and a hint of Deadpools figure behind it.
Batman: Vengeance is a nostalgic masterpiece. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is a straight up great game. Superman: Shadow of Apokolips is a hidden gem.
Deadpool being removed the marketplace is a crime. Very fun game, that didn't get enough love / appreciation back then. I remember it being one of the few games that brought lots of viewers to my channel when I was doing Twitch... Definitely love this game, and still have physical copies on both 360 and XB1
Marvel Nemesis was really underrated. You could play with all the major marvel characters. Each character had their own unique super powers. The fighting was great for its time and it had a multiplayer mode.

Honestly the Deadpool game was so popular in my country it had sold out almost everywhere in stores. You couldn't even buy it online. But after months of searching I finally found it and it still remains one of the greatest games I ever played.

I feel like Ultimate Spiderman doesn't get talked about enough. The art style was so unique that it doesn't 100% feel like a gigantic graphics drop when you go to play it, plus the open world and story are interesting too(featuring venom, electro, rhino, wolverine, and more)
For me Ultimate Spider-man is underrated getting to run around the sitting destroying civilians and heroes as Venom was a total blast and the classic Spider-man (2000) on Ps1 was brilliant and cemented Venom as one of my all time favorite characters. Finally I've been playing through Marvel's Midnight Suns which has been really fun, definitely a more modern forgotten game which I can easily recommend 😁

Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu was a pretty epic coop beat 'em up. It was the first time I encountered the Arkham style timing based combat and it was really satisfying and had good production value, with Kevin Conroy voicing Batman.

You forgot Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. The absolute Godfather of all superhero games. Probably the greatest PS2 game too
Ultimate alliance 3 is epic.. just got it recently and been playing it non stop with my 5 year old son and we’re hooked!! Also captain america on ps3 is one of my favourite games ever!

I still have my PS2 copy of Rise Of The Imperfects. I used to bring it to my friends house at the time and play it. I loved that game so much. Lol
X-Men: The Official Game where you could play as Wolverine, Iceman, and NIGHTCRAWLER was so fun as a kid. I loved teleporting as Nightcrawler.

I have many fond memories of X-Men Legends! Plus it spawned its sequel and the Ultimate Alliance games which I immensely enjoyed. They even made a Justice League clone that i cant remember the name of that was pretty fun as well. I too hope the see an UA 4 in the future
Marvel Nemesis was one of the best memories as a kid. Sometimes reviews don’t matter. This is on of those times.
My buddies tried playing that deadpool game during a trip night. My visuals were so insane that when I tried to watch him play, all I could see on the screen was Matrix coding covering everything and a hint of Deadpools figure behind it.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is a straight up great game.

Marvel Nemesis was really underrated. You could play with all the major marvel characters. Each character had their own unique super powers. The fighting was great for its time and it had a multiplayer mode.
Ultimate Alliance 3 was incredible. Bring back more couch co-op pls.
