    Well, he could do 230 bpm with 2 fingers. But he'd rather not go beyond this because his guitar would break😀. Indeed he's the greatest of all time!

      But he's 2nd indeed better than sabicas
      Hw would be better than paco tho he still has a lot of time

    Would you recommend teaching an absolute beginners 3-finger picado or 2-finger picado to start?

      Hi guys! I think, first teach 2 finger picado with all 3 combinations, and then introduce the 3 finger pattern.

    Grisha, it looks like you are playing rest stroke with 3 fingers - is that correct? I always though that Serranito and Paco and Gerardo used only free stroke with 3 fingers.

      Rest strokes. I practiced all 2 and 3 finger combinations and directions with rest and free stroke as for many years.

      It depends on what the scales is, how many notes it has, how it crosses strings, what the accents are, etc.

    Could you share the actual method you use for sharpening shaping your nails for playing?
    Everyone has a style but as guitarists, we need a consistent method to ensure perfect shape each time.

    Can you play at the same tempo for example scales of Entre dos aguas? also depends on what you play, it's easy to play on one string, especially when you play triplets :)

      That's right. The same argument goes for entre dos aguas, because the fast runs are on adjacent strings.

    Grisha plucks the first string only. To cover all the strings including all frets of the guitar one has to use a dual technique. It never works with 3 fingers. Finger picking is good for polyphonic play. Using a pick is good for real speed. ruclips.net/video/tgbqsQvr-aI/видео.html

      No, he used 2 fingers for rest stroke picado. He could, however, go just as fast using free stroke with 3 fingers. He did it often during his improvisations with the Trio.

      I play with 2 usually, but 3 are a lot faster and easier.

      @@davidszirmai Why use 3 if 2 does the job? One will be easier than the other depending on how many notes per string you are playing (even or odd) as you move through the run.

      I've seen people pick at incredible speed, so I don't know if fingers can keep up.

      @@guitarista666 economy picking is like 3 finger picado. You can break 300 without tensing up, but it’s not punchy like 2 finger picado or alternate picking. We all got our tricks!

    Do you think that it would be possible to get much quicker at picado speed runs if I adapted to the 3 finger technique? I feel that if I can get more comfortable with that, it should be a lot quicker.

    В самых больших темпах 185 и 190 раньше доли начинаете играть, поэтому там скорость реальная вряд-ли отличается от 180. Но и это быстрее того что я слышал у Пако. Там правда был концерт и тирандо и 175 и с динамикой. Спасибо, что раздвигаете границы. В вашем случае верится, что не имеет место забыстрение видео, которое даже у высоких профи, к сожалению, встречается.

    hi maestro you have a particular routine before playing the guitar and how many hours do you practice per day

      I think, 5 hours a day is a good average estimate. When I have an open day, I usually do more. Routine varies from day to day.
