There is so much to learn from this video. You cover everything that is important: finger balance, nails, bursts, reflexive action. Besides you also present mind opening stuff such as finger sweeps and 3-finger attack. What can I say? This might be the best lesson I have seen on picado speed. Big OLE!!!

0:21 - rest stroke vs 0:49 free stroke balance; equilibrium between fingers. Attack time and plucking must be consistent between fingers 3:00 - middle finger must be bent so action, volume, and tone are even 2:24 - nail length. Shorter is better 3:49 - rhythm of attack; synchronic movement. M must be ready to follow I and A M, like riding a bike or walking 5:50 Exercise 1

Hey I appreciate that comment Christian! Maybe I should do more instructionals. My main focus has always been playing as u can see in 95% of the vids in my channel. @@FelipeCoelhoGuitar Thanks for the reply. It's awesome what you're doing. When I was 15, I got a $1 ep mix CD with Oscar Lopez and Jesse Cook. I still listen to both unique style, but Jesse Cook is fingers then switches to his pick using pretty much metal up and down triplets, the way I learned when electric guitar was popular. It's amazing to discover things I couldn't see were happening before the internet. I hope you continue.
The main tip that we usually find to increase picado speed, and as you mentionned, to prepare the next finger to be ready to hit the string is to train with stacato. To cut the sound with the next finger is the best way to train the fingers to be ready to play the string and to keep them close to the strings.
Thanks for the great lessons! For me regarding pure speed and precision, I'll never cease to be amazed by Paco De Lucia... always made fast playing look so effortless!
Not your traditional Picado, more of a tremolo, which I confess on using for fast runs... And the "economy" picking is just like the one Matteo Mancuso uses... AWESOME! I am going to study this more, add it to all my fingerpicking drills, Obrigado Felipe! It helps a lot!
