@@tommyo2450 it’s not realistic though. It’s the deceased moms word verse the living sons word. Mom freely gave the money to the son. It has NOTHING to do with the sister. It’s been seven years for the checks. Proving mom didn’t give him that is nearly impossible. It would be close to the statute of limitations to begin with. That has nothing to do with the sister either. Sis has no claim to ANYTHING. The texts alone aren’t proof. To easy to fake, and you can’t put the phone in his hand at the time of texting. Law enforcement uses texts with other stronger evidence. The texts are used to support the other stronger evidence, but still suspect. Just text yourself and see. You put the name of who’s texting in your phone. You can have an unlimited text string to yourself.

@@paulredinger5830 First off, of course it's not realistic. It's a poorly written fiction soap opera story. Second, text are very much used as solid evidence and I am living proof. Years after as well though not 7. Also she was never intending to sue the fiance just wanted to scare her cause she was stupid. To get info from her to find her brother who in the real world, which this isn't, she would know exactly where he was anyways. He admitted in text he was stealing the checks and so on and easily traceable to him Do it all the time. If you sue someone in civil court especially all that evidence would count. Criminal I'm sure statue of limitations would apply depending on the state.. I'm assuming she sued him . And if course it's not realistic. But several completely missed the point of the scare tactics.

Yeah, bs. The reason she couldn't find her brother was she didn't call the police on him when he stole their mother's money. Stupid Japanese no- no about calling the police on family. She's not going to charge him now either; She's going to use the threat of charging him to get him to pay. And he's pretty stupid, no way he'd go to prison for a 7 year old unreported crime, but apparently he doesn't know that. Personally know of a case where a man stole the family stamp and used it to steal the family land and noone in the family would get the police involved so he got away with it. ( In typical Japanese fashion they tried to shame him into returning the land 🙂).

So, she let Janice scream and berate her for 30 minutes just going 'huh?' every now and again?! Really? These are texts. Firstly, people don't stammer in texts, and secondly you CAN interrupt someone - it's not a one-way only set-up. And if this had happened in the UK, all OP would have needed to do was ring the bank, tell them her mother had died, and they would have frozen the bank account so no money could have been withdrawn.
Also, Nick had his own company - the address for that would have been registered somewhere - the US must have some sort of central Registry where all company details are held just so that people can find out directors/officers/registered addresses etc. So, while the general premise of the story is sound, the actual unfolding of events should not have happened this way.

How the story goes in my imagination:
Nick: Mom's in the hospital, and unconscious?! EXCELLENT! THIS is my chance to go to her house and steal her checkbook.
OP: No, don't do that. You have no right to her checkbook, let alone her money. Her house is locked. You'll be breaking and entering, and committing grand theft.
Nick: No problem! I'm her SON! It's not a crime for a son to take something from his own mother. And it's not breaking and entering when it's a son coming to his own mother's house.
OP: I really don't think the police will see it that way, especially since you already owe Mom thousands and thousands of dollars. She told you NO the last time you asked, right? Which means YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION. Not only is the denial assumed, since you're not asking her this time, BUT YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN DENIED. She outright told you NO. That makes stealing her money A CRIME, Nick. I'm telling you, don't do it!
Nick: Look, when she comes to, she would wind up giving it to me, anyway. And you're there to keep her calm and happy. So, you just be a good little sister and take care of our mother, while I take care of her money!
    OP: Don't do it, Nick.
    A few minutes later:
Nick: Hey, why are there police at Mom's house?
OP: Gee, Nick, why don't you ask them, yourself?
Nick: WHAT THE HELL?! You sent them screenshots of our conversation, when I told them my plan to come and steal her checkbook?! They're saying that's a CRIME! Well, I haven't done it, yet, so they can't arrest me.
OP: Actually, just because you got caught BEFORE you succeeded doesn't mean you didn't make the ATTEMPT.
Nick: Naw, man! I was just here to check on my mother! That's all. It's just a misunderstanding.
OP: But, you know, full well, that your mother is NOT at her house, but is, in fact, at the hospital. You confessed as much, IN WRITING. Now, I'm just going to leave this up to the police and courts to handle. Oh, but don't worry. I know where Mom keeps her records, and I will inform the court of just how much you have "borrowed" and never repaid. I'm sure that will be an interesting addition to the court case against you.
    Nick: Court case?!
OP: Of course. I'm suing you for damages. You've racked up a LOT of damages over the years, and now that you're in police custody, the hammer will fall.
Nick: NOOOOOOOOOOO! Hey! They're telling me to give up my phone and get in the car! I won't do it! See you never! I hate you so much, you snitching little toerag! Oooooh, the things I'm gonna do to you, when I catch you! I'll...
Narrator: He tried to run, but of course, the police caught him, since he was too angry to think clearly, and kept texting angry threats. He'd dash for a bit, then hide, but he'd be texting while hiding, threatening all sorts of things, which she added to her court case against him. And while he was absorbed in his phone, he didn't notice the police officer coming up quietly behind him.
He tried to argue that it wasn't a crime, but "just a family matter," but the police said that since he didn't live with her, and she had specifically told him NO, that it was, in fact, a crime, and he would be charged.
The idiot tried lying his way out of it, in court, because lying is just what he does. The judge added a sentence for his perjury, as well. So stupid. But now, he'll never bother me, or my mother, again.
Sadly, Mother never did wake from her coma. But I like to think that she was looking down, from Heaven, and inspiring the jury to find the truth behind my brother's lies. She and my father spent Nick's whole life spoiling him, until just recently, when my Mom finally had ENOUGH. And now, they have to look down and see the results of their poor job of raising him.
Meanwhile, I, who had to give up college, because Nick "needed money for his business," and had to give up make-up and pretty clothes (and basically dating, at all), because "Nick needed money for his business," and had to work a bland job in a bland office, because "Nick needed money for his business," and there was NOTHING left to give to me, not even attention... Well, I took my fair inheritance, including the money Mom had left, AND the money that Nick owed her. Basically, since he would have inherited half, but he actually owed her MORE than she had left, his debt wiped out his inheritance, plus some, so I got everything she had left in cash, real estate, and other assets, and he still owed me some money. With that, I was able to get a great make-over, and pay tuition at the college of my choice, as a mature student. There, I met a very nice professor in one of my core classes. We couldn't date while I was taking his class, but next semester, I informed him that I was in a major that did not include any of his classes, and would never be his student again, and things went pretty quickly from there.
I graduated with honors, and shortly after that, I married my professor. He was infertile, and I talked with him about adoption. But then, his brother and sister-in-law died in a tragic accident, and we inherited his niece and nephews. Suddenly, I had a ready-made family of absolutely ADORABLE children, without destroying my body with pregnancy! Huzzah! I couldn't be happier. And since the children were already in school, I used my college degree to get a full-time job, and I save up as much as I can for the future. I'll be prepared for financial emergencies, or I'll have a wonderful retirement. But I'm also saving up for ALL the children to go to the college of their choice, on time, EQUALLY.
We have a really happy life. And I haven't heard from Nick for years and years, which is just the way I like it.

Taking the check book seven years before? Proving mom didn’t give that money is IMPOSSIBLE. His word verses deceased mom. That has nothing to do with the sister either. First law enforced must decide a crime was committed. Then they give any information to the prosecutor, and they decide if there’s enough to prosecute. Most likely not. The sister has no say in that either.

Yeah suing Janice...that wouldn't fly no matter what country this takes place in. Janice being angry on her mother-in-law's behalf was fair enough. She didn't know the man she was going to marry was lying. MC is money grubber. She's putting claim on her mother's money. It's not HER money. Then she's going to "sue" Janice for "verbal assault" because her pride was hurt. Not how it works. Janice being angry because she thought she skipped her mother's funeral was not assault of any kind. In fact I would have thanked her for being so adamant in protecting my mother's memory. Lastly, any judge in any country would laugh the lawsuit out of court when all MC had to do was not reply to Janice and block her.

Me: You didn't get a Miller Lite?
    Nick: No. What's the difference?
Me: Miller Lite has more taste.
Nick: I don't care. I just got this. (shows an off-brand)
Me: Well, that's the second unmanly thing you've done today.
    Nick: What was the first?

So her brother didn't know his mother died but just so happened to almost perfectly describe his /own/ actions as those of his sister. How ironic that the lies he made up ended up being the truth only about him instead of his sister. I'm not sure how to feel about the fiance, she was complete deceived and reacted to the actions the brother described with proper outrage, yet she also seemed slightly like a gold-digger caring about marrying a CEO, though wanting a successful spouse isn't a horrible crime. It seems like she's almost being punished unequally for believing the brother's lies. I also feel terrible for the baby having to have a father that's a horrible self-centered liar who'll probably be in debt for the rest of their lives. I don't know why the fiance still shackled herself to a sunken ship it might've been better for her to be a single mom. Unless she was too prideful to admit she put all her figurative money on the wrong horse. Or maybe she's planning to get a divorce after the baby is a bit older if the brother doesn't pull something out of his butt to get himself out of this mess, though if he does it'll probably involve some sort of lie or scam..

Nick has been using moms money to avoid bankruptsy, that pretty much says hes bankrupt and he and the company cant support themselves. He uses company money for his own partying and expenses.

Don't you need to sign the checks in a checkbook? How did he manage that? He has a company and you can't find him? How is that possible? And part-time jobs... Always part-time jobs. At least it was no crappy apartment in this story. Why does the women who get pregnant have no other option than to marry the pile of crap. There ARE other options!

You guys often ask for feedback about your videos. In this video you used a backdrop during the breaks in time where there is a golden backdrop with gold triangles that feels like you are travelling through it fast. For me it is to bright and I easily get motion sickness so it makes me dizzy. Being a past nurse it can affect people with epilepsy. It is almost like a sequence that can hypnotize. Can you please not use it in your youtube videos. Thanks for listening.

This all BS including the title of the video ! As others have pointed out, she can't sue the fiancé and she can't sue her brother either. When someone dies, the creditors that are owed money have a limited amount of time to try and get the money owed to them and since the mother and father gave the money to their son, she can't even try to sue him for theft ! Since the father passed before the mother and the mother passed 7 years ago, she can't get anything from him, anymore than say a credit card company can produce papers that prove that the mother had an outstanding balance. Even if they do have the proof that the mother owed on her CC, the statute of limitations has passed, a long time ago and as long as she did everything the law requires the executor to do, to inform all the estates creditors so they can file a claim, then some CC company can't show up, 7 years later and say you ow us money. The time to submit claims has come and gone and the CC company is out of luck so, the CC company can't sue her or her mother's estate for the money owed, 7 years later any more than the sister, even if she was executor of the mother's will can not go after someone or a company that owed her mother money. The time to do that was right after the mother died. Depending on how many assets and how much was owed, it takes about 6 months to a year before all the creditors are paid and what is left of the estate is divided or given to one person, as per the will of the deceased, not to mention that all creditors have to be notified of the death so they can file a claim and they have a specific time frame that they can submit a claim for payment. If they do not withing that time frame, they loose the money owed and that goes both ways. The executor of the estate has a specific time frame that they must adhere to and any money owed to the estate has to be claimed by a certain time period and as I said before, since neither parent said that the son stole from them, she can't sue him for theft and she certainly can not sue him to repay the money he was given. Even if he did steel her check book, unless a police report was filed about the theft, she can't now claim that he stole the money. It becomes a he said, she said and the case will be thrown out. She can claim that he stole the check book but without proof she has no case and all he has to say is that his parents gave or lent him the money and with out a formal accusation or some kind of police report either or one of the parents filed about the theft. It's her word against his
