I realize that it's a little different 2020 hindsight being at home watching, but I was thinking for "Honk" he might say, "Car" and then "Horn" and if he needed to "Noise." Sometimes though, Mr. Perkins comes up with excellent clues. And my gosh what a legend as an actor!

Dina Merrill, worth 300 million dollars and she goes on Password and makes appearances promoting her films. Amazing and she is THE classic Old Money blond beauty.
@Liquid Eternity My mom and her Jewish friends all wore 'helmet hairdos lacqered with spray. The rich WASP mother of my best friend used to get her hair cut at the same barbershop as her sons! She was drop dead gorgeous too!
Courtship of Eddie's Father--watching it right now on the TCM app! Dina was a divine and lovely lady. I saw her home in VA years ago. What an exquisite collection of the Fabrage Eggs.

there should be a compilation of every stare of his, except when its intentionally scripted into a film, like Psycho. a compilation of just him staring at people.
Dina was that which is now practically extinct.... a LADY. Poised, elegant, polite, beautiful and, though she needn't have worked a day in her life, she endeavored tirelessly as not only an actress - always trying to expand her abilities in a variety of roles - but also as a charitable giver.
"Alone Together" was a very well known ballad written in 1932 for the Broadway show, Flying Colors. The greatest performance of it can be found on Judy Garland's 1961 landmark album, Judy at Carnegie Hall.
For "Straw" I kept waiting for her to say "Sipping." The 2 words you could use are "Sipping" and then… "Implement" (and then if you had to... add the word "Drink").
Was the announcer of the words the same person who was the regular announcer. I ask because Alan thanks "Jack" after the word "magnify" is announced and I was thinking maybe Jack Clark.
In that lightning round, the easy clue for "Monkey" would be "Ape" then if needed "Chimpanzee". Done. For "Orchard" I think using the words "Apple" (probably 1st) and then "Trees." If needed then "Many." A clue that many people miss in these lightning rounds (to include among others) for "String" is "Kite." For "Teeth" I was immediately thinking "Choppers,"

I can’t believe I found this. This is my mother playing with Anthony Perkins. 1960 something.
That's awesome!!
Which one was she?? Is your mom still alive to see this?
1963
My mom was the second contestant. She never saw it.
It's amazing to see these old episodes. And it's great that family members can see their loved ones all these years later. I love watching them!
Tony had such a genuine smile!!
Dina Merrill and Anthony Perkins-- Two SUPER-sweet people. My most enjoyable people to watch play Password.
Anthony Perkins is SOOOO CUTE! HANDSOME! Kim :)
Somebody needs a cold shower
Cute, but you wouldn't have liked him...he had somewhat of a mother complex
Love watching these old Passwords, happy and sad at the same time.
Happy memories and sad current times we live.
Perkains and particularly Dina Merrill are SO nice! And so bright! What a pleasure!

Anthony Perkins and Dina Merrill were the third cousins of actress Tuesday Weld, with whom both of them co-starred.

Alone Together is also the name of an album by Dave Mason.
It was written in the early 30s, by Arthur Schwartz/Howard Dietz, one of the close to great songwriting partnerships.
Anthony Perkins reminds me a bit of a 1960’s era Michael Cera with how socially awkward and loveable he is…
I can think of 2 words that could've worked for "Straw." "Drinking" and "Tube."
Anthony was so intense, especially later on in the game, it made me scared because of the Psycho image I have of him lol
I used to watch The Courtship of Eddie's Father on T.V.
For "Sell" they could have done the Passwordian opposite thingy using the clue "Buuyyyy?…"
Dina can't quite keep up with Tony's intelligence and verbal skill. But she's lovely, just the same.
