This is the only decent tutorial on F-Curves that I have found. I have been trying to find a way to simulate the operation of the cams in a model of an engine, came across F-Curves by accident and wondered if they would do the job. Other tutorials haven't answered the question but this one shows me how to do it - thanks.
You should make a big tutorial related to rigging character animal and many types of objects like car boat ship etc ..and sell on udemy.. because your teaching style are awesome and also these topics are difficult.. 🙏🙏
Thanks for your honest suggestion bro. Things are in plan, but we have limited time to invest here. Also the channel growth is sluggish. Hopefully in near future we will be able to get into tutorials that need more time & involvement.
Wow this is beautiful. Really well explained. I know blender channels take time to grow but I hope to see you guys grow fast and maybe get a Patreon account. Great job.
Good one. Can you please consider making tutorial on dope sheet. So far I have not found simple technique which you normally explains. BTW, awaiting next part of this tutorial.
Possible. First add a Cycles modifier followed by Noise. Do remember to reduce the "Influence" factor of the Noise modifier to a low value like 0.05 to see a meaningful effect and keep the Blend Type as Replace (default).
Please ensure that on the left side panel in the graph editor you have a key element selected (an element that has the keyframes) or just click on a curve and highlight it (left panel selection will happen automatically). Depending on this selection the N-panel will show/hide the modifiers tab.
Good question! Yes, you can copy-paste in the graph editor. First select all the key points for the first object in the graph editor. Then copy from Key -> Copy Keyframes. Then select the second object, and create the required channels (just key frame any one value for each key) and paste from Key -> Paste Keyframes. But this will not copy the modifiers. This is useful only for a simple case. There is a far better way to do this actually. Select the second object. Then select the first object. Then go to Object Menu -> Link/ Transfer Data -> Link Animation Data. Now the same animation will be shared by both the objects. Changes into one will affect the other one equally. And in the graph editor, you will get everything copied to the second object, including the modifiers. Hope that helps!
does anyone have the issue where when you hit N on the keyboard in the graph editor, the only tab that shows up is Action? I can't get the Modifier tab to show up. this is in 3.1.2

Wonderful, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Buddy, which application do you use for the voice?...
HI.. I want to start the object to move from 100 th frame onwards. how it would be set on the timeline..?
You need to insert your first keyframe at frame 100. It will then maintain the same position from start of the animation until frame 100.
what if we want to combine both noise and cycle

ah I was expecting it to show up in the dope sheet. Switched to graph editor (duh) and it's there.
It happens 😅 Good that you figured it out!
