  • He’s the seven-time world champion, and, to many, the greatest snooker player to ever pick up a cue. Ronnie O’Sullivan sat down with Shane Hannon for an extensive interview to mark the release of his new book ‘Unbreakable.’
    ‘The Rocket’ candidly discussed the ups and downs of his life and career, his love of running, and his absolute obsession with the game of snooker since he first encountered the baize as a kid.
    O’Sullivan also touched on his favourite world title, his most satisfying 147 maximum break, the importance of finding a perfect cue, and coping with fame.

    That's how to do an interview. Well informed, allows the guest to speak, uses humor and familiarity to make guest comfortable enough to talk about difficult situations also leaves watcher wanting more thereby promoting the book.

    Favourite Ronnie moment of all time was him asking what the prize was for a 147 after potting the first black against King in 2010 World Open in Glasgow. Absolute vintage Ronnie.

    He's the greatest with 21 majors 39 ranking titles the most centuries and 147s keeping snooker relevant and on the front pages entertaining us for decades his longevity is legendary and will be his legacy his aura and pressance is unique nobody like him everything he does makes headlines for the sport

    Great Interview Shane💯, Love you so much Ronnie! I watched you on TV from 1993 rarely miss a match , never seen you live but its my number one bucket list thing to do, I promise I'll go the Crucible and witness your awe inspiring talent. Don't worry about your exit strategy from the game, you're still at the peak of your powers and can win many more world championships even past the age of 50 or 60, I can see you beating Fred Davis record being 64 or older reaching the one table setup in the Crucible theatre. I can relate to all your struggles in life, you give me so much joy and inspiration in everything you do and say, I would love to shake your hand someday, you're a beautiful person, Thank you Ronnie good luck and god bless you 💚

    Fantastic piece!
    I'm hooked on snooker for years, and this was really illuminating from Ronnie.
    Shane - brilliant searching yet empathetic questions... I especially liked the "natural talent" question, how it could belittle the work he has put into the game... Great spot!
    For me, he was the most naturally-gifted, but he kept it going. It's the longevity that has come from him constantly upgrading his technique that makes him the GOAT - aside from the total championship wins. Right up to today, Jan 2024, with two out of the three Triple Crown events won this season, with the World's to come yet...

    I'd definitely be with Ronnie on the exercise . I've been walking up hills everyday for last 3 years and I'd swear by it. Great buzz out of it. Addictive. I'd recommend it to anyone for physical an mental health.

    Great interview, Ronnie's best moment or moments has to be when he's saying the truth whether its snooker authorities or rookies on the end of it it's refreshing to see a sports star speak the truth

    Great interview Shane! Favourite Ronnie moment is after the 7th world championship win in the Eurosport studio with Alan McManus, jimmy white and radzie when the cameras go off and Ronnie just shows all his emotions after the 17 days which really showed us how much he wanted the 7th world title after him playing it down weeks before that.

    my best memory of Ronnie on the snooker table has to be the moment when refused going for the 147 because the prize money was not high enough if im not mistaken, pure anarchy

    Favourite moment when Ronnie refused to complete the 147 break at Welsh open in 2016 against Barry Pinches after he asked the referee how much he would win if he got a 147. When he found out it was only 10,000 he then refused to complete it.

    Love ronnie what a player n character he comes across really well he seems happy in himself n relaxed credit to the host he doesn't jump in every 2 seconds like the other host on oftb can't think of his name he's so annoying 😉. The Roy Keane n Gary neville roadshow back before covid he was Co hosting with Joe molloy I don't like him he shld be fired especially that one he kept interrupting every 10 seconds or so . A good interviewer let's the conversation flow

Don't know much about snooker and its history eh? Proofs in the pudding,and Ronnie has won more than all of them ..Selby only has a 5-3 winning record over Ronnie in finals!
