- Installed some drop shackles on the back of the 3rd gen, was going to do the front too but I couldn’t find my lug key lmao. Sorry for the awkwardness guys I’m still getting used to being in front of the camera 😂

i just bought my first 3rd gen, its an 04 5.7L 2500 with only 87k miles on it. Im wondering if i should lower it. its sitting a bit too high for my wife and dog to get in. maybe that's a good thing?
@@_D.I.G_ I lowered mine with the hopes of getting a couple more mpg’s. 2.5 in the front, 3 inch drop springs in the back.

When doing the flip kit does anything need to be welded i just know the cknotch but ive heard of something about welding it so the axel wont move
Yes I would recommend doing something to make sure it won’t move, I did one burnout in this truck and it wheel hopped and the axle moved.. I’ve heard of people welding shims but I’ve never actually done it! The homie @streetterrorperformance on RUclips might have more knowledge on it!

Did you have to cut in a C notch?
I have a 3/5 drop on my ram. The stock bump stops were right on my diff. I suggest taking them off, and you have 2.5” of clearance. If you tow or use the truck for work or heavy things, I suggest a bolt on c notch

I put the 2 in drop shackles on the rear and it barely did anything I couldn’t get the shackles to face the front though am I doing something wrong, anyone help?
Where did you get the shackles from? If the shackles are all you have done they don’t do much by themselves
@@madram1727 bro I took the shocks off thinking they were the problem nope then I faced the schackles the other way still nothing then I took the schackles off and just put the spring up in there still didn’t move it’s like it’s stuck so what should I do I want mine to sit just like yours in the beginning I have never lowered a vehicle on lifted
