    The Aurora T-Jet NOS chassis are getting hard to find and are going for big bucks. We are blessed to have TFX and Dash chassis to use. I prefer the Dash over the TFX but both are great runners. It is amazing how fast you can make this type of chassis go. People that drive only magnet cars are really missing out.

      Yeah I am one of those magnet guys...lol though I do like to run my TFX and my AFX Magnatraction cars when I want to slow down a bit and do some casual driving. I never took the time to build up a non mag car and make it faster, might have to do that one of these days.

    Thanks for sharing this video. I have a few of those OS3 TFX chassis’s. It’s like a old T-Jet on Steroids. Lol . Right out of the box, I think they run very good. Enjoy them

      Thanks JC, I have been running them today and they are a lot of fun to drive. They are like a T-Jet on Steroids....lol

    Nice video. I'm a HUGE fan of the TFX. It's my dream pancake chassis, lol. Straight of the package they run great with just some very light oiling. Adjust the pickup shoes, and they are even better. On sectional track like yours I run the .360 o-rings up front and .378 tires in the rear (sold by OS3). On my routed track I run .340 up and .352 in the rear.

      Thanks! I have been playing around with them for the last few days and they are really fun to drive, a nice change from the super fast magnet car.

    Hi Mark. Is the 4x10 table on 2 toolboxes? Have had similar idea. Last N scale train layout on 8 folding tables with styrofoam. Tool box with rollers would be even better? Any thoughts?

      It is on two Husky workbenches though I took the wheels off, I felt it was too high with the wheels. It's really personal preference.

    The Dash needs to be "run in" or "breaking in". This can be accomplished by simply drive it or have it on the track idling around. One trick is to use a rubber band on the controller to give some throttle. The TFX wheels look too silly for my taste but luckily Dash rims can be fitted for a much better look.

      Thanks for the info! I do agree with you on the wheels on the TFX, I will definitely look into using Dash rims on them.

    Hey Mark I'm going to order 5 new chassis and I'm due to the budget I'm looking at sub $30 chassis... I'm considering Mega-G+, Bulldog or jag.. your thoughts?

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  Год назад +1

      Are you looking for the chassis only or complete car? There is not a lot out there sub $30 that's new. If chassis only what body's do you plan to use?

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  Год назад +1

      I just did a quick search and the Jag and Bulldog chassis are both in the low $20 dollar range, both are decent running chassis's. I have both and plan on doing a video about them soon.

      Found pt 2, NP. very cool video. I had this stuff as a kid, took a break after getting a drivers license until my own kids got of age to enjoy. Recently found pieces and parts of all this. bewildered by all the choices now. This video helps👍👍😎🇺🇸

      @marksslotcargarage328 complete chassis sans body. I ordered 4 xtraction for the kids and 4 Bulldogs. I did find a place that sells mega g+ for about $25, but went with the bull dogs as they work well with the Bob hackle clips. That said, if it's a blindfolded body off comp which sub $30 complete chassis do you prefer? A vid might be nice.

      I think you will be happy with the Bulldog chassis, mine run real good. I am posting a video today comparing Bulldog, Jag and Viper. I don't recommend the Autoworld xtraction, the few I have all ran like crap and required a lot of tuning to get them to run decent. I hope yours run well.

    Great video, do all dash bodies fit the TFX ? And did you have a problem with the TFX guide pin being too long for AFX track ?

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks @Elite! I am by no means a dash, TFX or TJet expert but I believe most bodies fit all these cars. Yes I did have to cut down the TFX guide pin, it comes very long.

    Your thunderjet should use a 20 volt transformer.
