I’m old school. Use worms to catch small fish to use as cut bait and use that to catch the bigger ones. I tried the chicken and kool aid too tho and had some luck but sometimes I’m lazy and don’t feel like making it even tho it’s simple 😂

I ripped it into about a golf ball sized piece(no seasoning) on a worm hook with a egg sinker and barrel swivel 😂 and about 20 minutes and 2 cast I finally caught one. I definitely gotta try that jello and garlic scent

I also add a little olive oil and 5 crushed cloves of fresh garlic on top of the garlic powder that helps the smell stick and makes it even stronger.I also add some chicken liver blood along with some livers,let it sit in a plastic freezer bag for a few hours and then stick it in your fridge to marinate for a day or 2.they will smell that nasty shiht for miles and you'll be snagging em up quicker then you can reel em in😎
Looks like itd work good. Luckily throw nets are legal here so its hard not to use live bait since it only takes a few throws to get all the bait i need for the night. Usually get a nice variety of bait too depending where im fishing at

Try a red colored powdered drink if koolaid is unavailable. I think its the color and when it's in the water it slowly leeches out attracting the fish. The garlic and meat provides the scent
I know a great bait other than cut bait and live bait, and that's raw shrimp! It is absolutely irresistible to all fish, including catfish of all species! But in my opinion, if you're targeting big fish like flatheads and blues I would use fit bait or live bait.
300 people out there say they got the best catfish bait that there is. But you know one thing none of them have it in the stores selling it. Plus you would have also have tried every single store-bought bait out there every other concoction that's ever been made on top of it all these things people say that they're using and trying and everything else what size are you fishing for turn off has to go into play with it. It's just not a simple catfish bait. You need to let them know what catfish are going after how big of catfish are you doing after. Usually these kind of baits basically using these days you're going to get channel catfish up to about 5 lb maybe a rarity up to 10. Anything after that for big Blues you better watch skipjack or even cut a big piece of chicken off of chicken breast can you send that. Blues love it. I have tried it against quite a few others and an outperform for blue catfish. Now for flathead catfish do you want an oily bait. Like carp, give me some Asian carp works good for flatheads and blue cats. But for flatheads skipjack even mullet shad, flatheads love common carp. The bigger the piece the bigger the fish. Hanford Blues you can also use live bluegill or cut up bluegill. Up to 10 in I use the whole bluegill. I'll make an incision on the side of the meat about two or three of them in just a little poke in the belly show the sun gets out there faster then do not fish it on bottom have a rig setup so this way it's going to float 6 to 8 in even 12 inches off the ground. Because these kind of fish they eat live bait mostly. Same as flathead catfish band Channel cat even though you will catch him on the bottom is there actually more into hidden minnows bluegills and things like that. Most of her diet will consist of live fish crawdads and anything else they can get that's alive. And I have an awesome one making it out of dough and a few other things but if you get hungry or just take a piece Patty it out fry it on both sides then eat it. Works great on catfish and carp. You see how I told everybody what is what what you going to fish for in the big ones the little ones what to use a set of your simple little bait for catfish. That's a generic as generic is. People are going to catch small ones eating size and they're going to be like where is the big ones at. I thought it was supposed to catch catfish and they would be thinking big ones. Tried this caught nothing for hours and switched to night crawlers caught 2 catfish (1 channel-3 pounds 1 blue-13.5 pounds)in 10 minutes before it started raining heavily

fresh caught works very well but then you gotta catch em first. any frozen cut bait I've used doesnt stay on the hook well in my experience

I use 10lb braid and 15 or 20lb mono leader after the swivel. I use circle hooks and that should keep them on the hook as well. Hope that helps

I usually just use chicken livers and bar s hotdogs. I soak the hotdogs in the chicken liver blood and it works like a charm.
Yup that's the classic bait but i always had a hard time keeping them on the hook that way
