I don't hide my scars at all, in fact i found it alot easier to shave my head completely myself before surgery. It makes my life post op so much easier not having to deal with the random pieces of hair they leave behind lol. Each scar tells a story in my opinion.

Nope i dont hide i keep my hair military short anyway just cuz I'm low maintenance and i was an army brat. I'm not ashamed, i used to be when i was in school, and being made fun of, but i'm old now, and don't care. I take it as a sign of strength. We are all warriors. I've had 5 surguries total since birth 1970, i just turned 51.

When I was younger and having multiple revisions in school I hid my scars with a hat because I was the only person allowed to wear one in school, lol. Now I don't really care about any of my scars. I see it a proof I survived ALOT. I was born at 25 weeks in 1988 and I'm going to be 33 this year. 20 surgeries since of my birth from Hydrocephalus alone (not counting my other ones, lol).

God is great! So happy God has brought you through all that I've had brain surgery twice and i honestly get embarrassed about my second scar because it was at the top of my hairline I'm trying to build up confidence because it is a blessing and testimony to be alive so I'm working on it i hope you all do to much love from Phoenix Arizona

I have had 2 brain surgeries so far. It's not as much as some people have, but though I ask barbers to shave my head so my bump from my shunt is not too visible,I had a brain tumour removed last week and still have visible sutures around my eyes for now.Though I am not so thrilled about showing off patches on my scalp,I think showing them off will improve my cool factor..but they don't really embarass me but just show that I survived some stuff.I am stronger than I thought and it is probably the case for many of these multiple neurosurgery survivors..especially yall females.I mean females in a good way here..I sometimes use that word to substitute a derrogatory term I prefer not to use it out out loud for females I don't like...even though I might think it..So..maybe you may find I am a bit hypocriyical to say this but, don't be afraid to flaunt your super battle marks.

I don’t have scars on my head but if I did I would likely hide them because I’m very self conscious of my appearance

I hide my scars because people where i live are unfortunately very judgemental and they laugh and stare at the way i look. The only people i never hid my scars from are people i grew up with.

Gotta turn the tables Mr. Bennet. You don't have to say it to their faces, but you can mentslly tell them,"You don't know what I've been through wimps"(whether or not they are actually wimpy..

I’ve also had 5 brain surgery’s. I recently had my titanium plates removed due to an infection. There is just a large caved in space so I prefer to keep it covered💕

My daughter was 25 when she had an accident that resulted in a TBI, she's 29 now. She had 7 surgeries. Her scar starts at her hairline on top of her head and she does not hide it.
