I will like to add here that in most German schools your CGPA is usually rounded up to the next grade. For example there is 2.0 but no grade as 2.12 as shown in the example here. If you have 2.12 it is usually rounded to 2.0...the grades are 1.0, 1.3, 1.7, 2.0, 2.3, 2.7 etc so if your converted cgpa is 2.56 for example they will round it up to the next best grade since it falls between 2.3 and 2.7 it will be unfair to bring you to 2.7 so its rounded up to the best possible grade which is 2.3 since there is no 2.5. what that means is that your final grade used by german universities usually end up better than what you calculate at home. The system tends to be very very fair.
The German grading system is 1, 1.3, 1.7, 2, 2.3, 2.7, 3....etc for examination purpose. However for your cgpa conversation, uni assist does not use this method. Please ignore this as it is not important at all for your cgpa conversion. For your cgpa conversion, they will round up to a decimal point.
I almost lost hope but thanks to God almighty for you, I graduated with the cgpa of 3.48 and I convertered my grade it was 2.14....I think I'm qualified. Thanks once again But can you convert for dutch grading system ?
Hi, thank you for your video. It's really helpful. I graduated with a 3.81, converting it to a German degree I got 1.8, does that mean I qualify as being in grade 1 and can apply for a category A student visa here in Nigeria?. I appreciate your speedy response.
Please how do I know the total number of semesters and that of vacation semesters. I'm applying to Deggendorf, I studies computer science in Nigeria. My total number of semesters should be 8 then, but the systems says it is not possible. Same for my vacation.
Is it true that Nmin from Nigeria Universities is now 2?That is, the minimum acceptable pass grade is D (Nmin 2) .Even if your transcript clearly shows the minimum pass grade to be E(Nmin =1).This is urgent please. And by the way this is good content. And again, I saw comments of people who claim to hack exams and records. Please work hard for a presentable CGPA,and not patronise any such hacker. IT'S A SCAM!
Please follow what is on your transcript. I bet whatever calculation anyone is doing will be based on what is on your transcript. Thanks for the compliment. And for those hackers, I wonder what they are saying o. I have deleted their comments before, dunno how it got back there. Anyway, I have deleted them again. Cheers
I'm surprised! I graduated with a CGPA of 3.43. I was so sad because I couldn't even make a second class upper. I have just converted my CGPA to German and I'm having 2.1775. I'm so proud of myself... That's if what you've said here is true. It's unbelievable. Wow!
@@iBroad_C I hope you get the message soon. My certificate reads a percentage score, and not a CPGA. If I convert with the highest percentage grade in Nigeria which is 70%, I get 2.5 in German grade. I am having this huge challenge and its affecting my enrollment as the score board says am below the required German grade score. Do you have ideas of what can be done?
@@abiolaoyebanjo5421 I know nothing about the percentage grading. However, if your German grade is not sufficient, you can try less competitive schools and supplement it with an amazing motivational letter. PS- check for Schools in smaller cities.
I graduated with 3.49 but honestly this video has cleared my confusion regarding German grading system.
thanks greatly Ti Ti.👏👏👏
I am glad you found it useful 😊
@@iBroad_C yes it was, thanks greatly 👏👏👏
Danke. This has brought somewhat relief to me after converting my 3.34/5.00. Putting in my application for the next summer. Mach"s gut!
Did you get it?

Thanks, but this was also explained in the video.
It gets the (floor) instead of the ceiling
Hi herny, does this mean that a cgpa of 2.41 is rounded up to 2.3 and a cgpa of 2.61 is rounded up to 2.3 also (since there is no 2.5)? Thanks.

Is a 2.2 good enough?
Just converted my 3.85 CGPA to German equivalent and I got 1.9, hope this is good enough.
Yes, the closer you are the 1, the better. 1 is the highest.
Thanks for your time.
Thank you so much for this

@@iBroad_C Many thanks for the response. 🙏🙏🙏
No educational system works in retrospect. Hence the value of your grade is calculated based on the formulary used when you achieved the grade.
too good to be true. i am fixing my grades right now.
thanks for the vid
very helpful. Thank you
When I calculated mine. I have a grade of 1.9 (German grade) hope this is good enough?
Itt great. The closer it is to 1 ...the better

Awwnn, sorry about the 2:1 escape. But yeah, you are still good. Even those with a lower 2:2 still have a shot. Good luck in your application process.

@@abiolaoyebanjo542170% in Germany is not a good score...its actually 2.7 in German grading system that's just "satisfactory" like having a D
There is no such grade as 2.1775 in German educational system. Your actual grade is 2.0....you should get a msc admission with it
This conversion can't be real jor
@naija2germany I hope you can help us we hnd holder ❤️🙏
