Very True....my younger brother traveled yesterday with opportunity card...He is IT professional and his visa was granted just within 3days of applying
Here: Points distribution for the opportunity card at a glance Basic requirement: Sufficient knowledge of German at level A1 or knowledge of English at level B2 and at least two years of vocational training in accordance with the rules of the country of origin. In addition, you must have sufficient financial means. Proof of this can be provided, for example, with the help of an employment contract for a part-time job (up to 20 hours per week). 4 points are awarded for partial recognition of a foreign professional qualification or for permission to practice a regulated profession (e.g. educator, nurse or engineer). Very few applicants meet these criteria. 3 points are awarded for five years of professional experience (in the last seven years) in the trained profession and a previous two-year vocational training in accordance with the rules of the country of origin. Alternatively, you get 3 points for good German language skills at language level B2. 2 points are awarded for two years of professional experience with previous vocational training (in the last five years). If you are not older than 35 years old, you will also receive 2 points. In addition, sufficient German language skills at language level B1 are awarded two points. 1 point is awarded to applicants who are not older than 40 years old and for a previous stay in Germany (at least six months). You must provide evidence of this with documents. Previous tourist stays do not count. 1 point is also awarded for very good English skills (C1), sufficient German skills (A2), training in shortage occupations or if you apply for the Opportunity Card together with your spouse. Nice greetings from Germany 🙂
Working in Germany with the Opportunity Card The Opportunity Card makes it easier for people in Germany to find work. This allows applicants to work in Germany without a lengthy recognition process. The prerequisite is (at least) two years of vocational training or a university degree and basic knowledge of German (A1) or English (B2). The Opportunity Card entitles you to a two-week trial period or to take up a part-time job (up to 20 hours a week). People with an Opportunity Card can stay in Germany for a year. During this time, the focus should be on looking for work. An extension of the Opportunity Card for up to a further two years is possible under strict conditions. You must apply for the extension at the local immigration office. Requirements for the Opportunity Card Using the points system, you can compare the required selection criteria with your own requirements. You must achieve a total of six points to get the Opportunity Card. The basic requirement is knowledge of German at level A1 or knowledge of English at level B2 and (at least) two years of vocational training or a university degree that is recognized in the country of origin. In addition, you must prove that you are financially secure, for example through a part-time job (up to 20 hours a week). You can prove this with an employment contract. (There are no points for these basic requirements!) Other criteria in the points system include language skills, professional experience, age and "connection to Germany". The time of application is decisive for the age criteria.

thanks for information. i just want to know how to submit the documents to German consulate, i mean we have to take appointment for that or not? thank you
I got info about this Opportunity Card in December and I checked my point which actually meets the required 6 points but I have 2 question after watching your video and I will really appreciate a feedback. 1) Do you think I need IELTS to prove my English language? I have 2 years related college degree certificate in IT from a UK institution but I leave in Nigeria. 2) If you have a family in Germany, can that wave the financial proof requested?
Hey 👋 1. They didn’t specify how you can prove this but it’s best to have a language test to prove. 2. They can only wave the financial proof if someone can give you a statement of declaration document also known as the sponsorship letter.
@@adazplace_ Thanks for the response, for language I visited the prepare now page on the Chancenkarte website and I saw some language prep website they added, what do you think about what they have there?
Good day ma, if I'm using sponsor for my financial statements in the application,it is compulsory for the sponsor to be in Germany or Africa because of the block account
Anyone that gives you the declaration of commitment letter (sponsorship letter) has to be a legal resident of Germany. If you want a blocked account, anyone based anywhere can give you money for the blocked account, however the money needs to be put in your blocked account in Germany. I hope this helps 🙏🏾
You said one way to prove financial security is the show a part contract of employer, does that mean before going to germany i should have gotten a contract first?
Hello my sister i really enjoyed your video it's very educative. Meanwhile my uncle is living in Germany can i use him as my sponsor instead of block account or employment letter?

Hello, pls I have 2 questions. What is the age limit? Can a 45 Yr old apply? Secondly, for English language, is it Ielts general or Academic and what score?
I believe 45 years can apply, however you won’t get a point for that. For IELTS, I believe general and they need you to get an equivalent of B2 English, which is around 6.5 in IELTS
