What about DLI (distance leaning institute) students that don't do semesters but sessions. e.g I did DLI in unilag and we received lectures once in a week. 8;30am-6pm. Which is 10 hours a week. So 10 hours in a week multiple by 52 weeks. (10*52=500) how do I calculate it .
Note that its a 5 years program so its 260 weeks in 5 years.

    • @iBroad_C

      Yes, it is still possible.
      1. Search for schools in "not so popular cities". You have better chances there as most people are not looking at these schools.
      2. Support your grade with a "killer" motivation letter. If you have achieved anything in other areas, (church, school, NGO that you support) incorporate it into your letter and make it convincing. Germans like all round success, not just in academics.
      3. Last but no least, pray for Grace.
Some other nationalities have worse results and they are still here. It definitely not a deal breaker.
Best of luck and holla if you need more guidance.

      Hi Obinna,
German Schools do not use "credit points" they use "ECTS". So the 210 for OVGU is in ECTS. The Nigerian grading system is in Credit Points. China uses another grading system entirely which you should know. Check your transcript to be sure.
You will have to do some calculations to convert to ECTS from whatever grading system is being used in China.

Honestly, i am tired of German schools, there requirements are much. i pity people who study Natural science in Nigeria with CGPA 2.2. you have limited option of getting any admission unless you try Private school.

I feel your frustration. There are a few options I to get around this...apply to schools in the not so popular cities, your motivational letter should be well written or apply for another Bachelors degree.

Ma, please I need your help.
I studied Optometry, a 6 years course at IMO STATE UNIVERSITY, NIGERIA. It's a total of 270 units and 405 ECTS.
I'm currently applying to the Neurasmus programme and here is one of the requirements "Candidates should possess a BSc degree (180 ECTS) in biology, pharmacy, biochemistry, biomedical sciences or psychology. Interest in the field of neuroscience has to be provided by candidates with a BSc degree in another subject (chemistry, physics, computer science)."
Please Ma, I'm I to choose some of the courses I did related to the listed courses above and calculate their ECTS. Or should I just present my total of 405 ECTS.
Please ma, what exactly are they asking for here. Thank you ma.
I am really look forward to your reply.
