Made this MALVANI curry today for my mom, for dinner and she loved it. Thanks to you, she thinks I am a good cook. I made some of my own changes which seem to have worked too. Added curry leaves in the tadka, and also threw in some green beans into the curry, just to eat a balanced meal with protein and fiber.
Thank you for a simple yet expert recipe video.

True... tomatoes are never used in malvani or govan fish curry ... And we use red chillies while grinding coconut... And tirphal is used in different recipes of typical fishes like mackerel, sardine etc and there onions and garlic is not used ..

The red dry chillies if soaked in water for some time, get grinded quiickly and can be grinded in to smooth paste.

Nice aromatic, tingly tangy fish curry. Loved your tip on the tirphal water. Must take it to another numbing lips level! Again think the tomato is not right here either, but this is your maid’s recipe so cant argue. Also, we add amsul only at the end, but to each, her own level of tanginess. The tip on adding less water while grinding is wonderful. And yes, ambe mohar rules here! Basmati would be such a letdown. Thank you for a lovely video.

Thess kind of comments are xenophobic and that's why people label Indians to be the most racist people because of this mindset.
Just because, you're Indian doesn't mean you'll be a pro in cooking, I have tasted Saoji mutton prepared by a white person which tasted true to the flavour which all the online recipes are far from.
