I just wanted to offer a PCP tip here - you should NEVER fill your air tube from 0. Because it should NEVER BE zero. I appreciate you have a leak in your HW100 but the most likely reason for that leak is that the rifle has been allowed to drop to zero pressure. Always keep the air pressure in the rifle within the 'green' even if you have no intention of using it for ages. The air pressure holds the air SEALS in place, allowing the pressure to drop allows the seals to relax - that's when they crack or come unseated. Keep all PCP rifles up to working pressure at all times. Nice video - I just got the 4 stage FX. I have a dive bottle but living around here it's a pain to have it refilled. So I'm trying the pump. It'll be a fitness test for sure! Hoping to post a video in the next week or so :) Keep shooting!
Eyad Eyad You're welcome :) I used to get a lot of problems with my older pcp's losing pressure, they were all second hand. I bought a brand new one about 5 years ago and kept it topped up - not a single air leak. Don't let them run too low. Go out shooting and then top back up. It's also easier anyway if you're using a stirrup pump! We filled up my mates Logun S16 the other night, from empty because of the above reason - was tiring!!!
Eyad Eyad A quick question if I may, just bought HW100KT my first PCP and first rifle in years. In my manual it' says after every 20 fills discharge the rifles cylinder and same if storing for over 4 weeks. Bit confused as you said never empty guns cylinder but manual says to empty? thanks
very interesting to hear this. I had no idea that you could foot pump these relatively new air rifles, I assumed you needed gas cylinder charging. I used springers many years ago and everything has moved on so much since then. I was thinking of getting a hunting air rifle, my first thought was to get a top quality spring action. I liked the idea of having a self contained gun, no need for anything else and can live with the single shot/reload limitation. In theory, from what you were saying, if you keep the gun charged properly it should not leak or fail. Do you think that a HW100 would last as long as say HW80 and be as reliable? Pretty handy to have a 14 shot primed gun in the field.
I am glad that looked hard work I got the same pump but thought there was something wrong with it I had to stop half way through for a can of cider lol
I'm glad you went to the effort of making this video as the idea that you can have such a convenient means of recharging your rifle is perfect. My next purchase Will be the hw100kt. Big thanks for the insights.👍👍👍😀😀😀
this is what put me off getting a pcp as i cant really justify a bottle. i took the plunge a few weeks ago and got a brocock and a pump and turns out its not actually as bad as id been told. to be honest, i wish id done it sooner.
Couldn't believe how unfit I was till I bought a pump and tried to fill my rifle, I was absolutely knackered so I now always refill from about half full, pistols on the other hand are so much easier and quicker making a pump an ideal charge option.
The Airgun center in Reighley Essex has Hull Cartridge trained staff with the correct tools. They fixed my leaky cylinder for only £20. They did an excellent job. I now have two leak proof cylinders. I do have a dive bottle, but there is an electric compressor that is/was available and demonstrated on a RUclips channel.
I'm just about to buy a stage 3 FX pump. I've been shooting for around 10 years and always filled my S410 by tank but getting it tested and filled now has become a real pain.
Take care of yourself, a bit of light cardiovascular work out mate you be fine cycling, brisk walk, or the simplest is up and down the stairs. I need to do the same has I bought my Hw100 last night. feeling old lol.
You might want to put sumeing between the pump and that rug to protect the rug, Just guessing, but I would say youneed to slow down on the pump cadence. One can tell just by touching the pump barrel and seeing if it is getting hot. Hot not slightly warm.
Thanks for sharing made my mind getting pump 👌🏻 What make is it and is there much difference in other makes? I presume you done your homework on this befor you bought this pump Many thanks in advance 👊🏻
I have counted the pumps from 100 bar to 200 bar. Its 59 pumps. My Weihrauch HW100kt .177 needs refilling at 100 bar and i get approx 55 shots per fill. So basically it is near enough 1 pump per shot.
As for leak these guns will only leak from one point -- if you unscrew fill tube you will see a tiny 'o' ring where the fill tube connects to gun-- if you smear a tiny amount of a good quality gun grease ie-napier just inside fill tube where thread meets 'o' ring and I mean tiny amount your leak should disappear as did mine
Nice Video! Just wondering where you got the AFG (Angled Foregrip) with the torch rail looks lovely.I just got a new hw100T FSB and would love a setup similar for hunting. Cheers
Nah, not for me, I'll stick to the diver's tank. That's like running a half marathon...but fair play for posting and good luck for the future [beautiful rifle]
Papa Ritz 1 shot 1 kill !:-) yea its a great all round gun iv been using it for bench rest shooting as well and hitting some really good scores, inact its been beating the steyrs
Wish you filmed your face also, bet you were wheezing like a 40 a day 60 year-old climbing into the bath. Scuba tank FTW... why spend £1000 on that gun and trinkets and skimp on charging it?!

+MrSDSTRIKEBREAKER I bought my HW 100 .177 just yesterday and I love it, but such unique information is very useful.Thank you again.

Thanks for showing. I'll now get one of these instead of a dive bottle. A big thumbs up.
Thanks for the video.I bought the fx 4 stage pump. From 90 to 200 bar on my hw100 takes like 2.5 minutes and so effortless.Could not be happier
At the time you got your 500 pellets true that barrel you got a chest like Arnold Schwarzenegger !!
I am glad that looked hard work I got the same pump but thought there was something wrong with it I had to stop half way through for a can of cider lol

at last a decent review of a hand pump
Couldn't believe how unfit I was till I bought a pump and tried to fill my rifle, I was absolutely knackered so I now always refill from about half full, pistols on the other hand are so much easier and quicker making a pump an ideal charge option.
I have the KTFSB and with the extra length of the shroud you can fit the standard cylinder and still fit a silencer
I'm knackered just watching!
no as bad as iv been led to believe

You can’t go wrong with the air gun centre. Good advice and have every you need.
I'm just about to buy a stage 3 FX pump. I've been shooting for around 10 years and always filled my S410 by tank but getting it tested and filled now has become a real pain.
@Air cooled I only ever use the pump now. I keep meaning to put the tanks on the market but you get nothing for way out of test tanks now.
Excellent video, very helpful
Kin ell. I was out of breath just watching this.

you should bleed your pump in between long fills otherwise moisture will get in the fill tube and cause damage (should be on pump instructions)
Which knob is the bleed? The one on the handle or the one on the foot rest at the bottom? Tia
May be a handy "backup tool", but i prefer my bottle to be honest.
i had once a slow leak as well, but it solved now by spraying silikon spray into the QF and the valve intake on the breech several times
What's QF?
Real man do it like Elvis "Pump it up"!
Great video mate, than you
Pump up the jam, pump it up
While your feet are stompin’
Dar da da da dad dar.....
Love the beat man
thatsmall goodmthat pick up,my Hills pump tomorrow
So charging a PCP rifle is about as much work as pumping up a flat car tire?
Thank you so much
Filling so quickly will not damage the pump?
I seen a lot of hunting videos with this HW100 airgun with very good results, even about 100 yards or more.
Thanks for sharing!
Great vid thanks can you use a air compressor?
You might want to put sumeing between the pump and that rug to protect the rug,

Hot not slightly warm.
Thanks for sharing made my mind getting pump 👌🏻
What make is it and is there much difference in other makes?
I presume you done your homework on this befor you bought this pump
Many thanks in advance 👊🏻
119 pumps in 3.48 minutes . How many pumps does it tank to fill back up after 1 shot.
nice informational vid cheers
Thats not bad at all, thanks for the video

I've had a pcp rifle and filled it via a pump. It's not that hard and most of us could probably do with a bit of exercise
Almost ordered on the othe other day and hesitated due to people warning about moisture ruining my gun ... Are these safe ?
As for leak these guns will only leak from one point -- if you unscrew fill tube you will see a tiny 'o' ring where the fill tube connects to gun-- if you smear a tiny amount of a good quality gun grease ie-napier just inside fill tube where thread meets 'o' ring and I mean tiny amount your leak should disappear as did mine
I wad breathing for you.
I can not wait to get the hw100kt..i really cant
nice video
thing I like about pumps is they are consistent, once a starts to lose pressure you struggle to get your gun to full pressure.
I just bought Benjamin Marauder 0.22 with Hills 3 stage pump. This pump does not fill from zero psi, am i doing something wrong?
Nice Video! Just wondering where you got the AFG (Angled Foregrip) with the torch rail looks lovely.I just got a new hw100T FSB and would love a setup similar for hunting. Cheers
Heck! I got tired just listening to that. I will have to go a different route for sure. Probably a Shoebox for my age!
Luckily I live a mile away from a dive centre so it’s a no brainer for me lol
Lazy
Nah, not for me, I'll stick to the diver's tank. That's like running a half marathon...but fair play for posting and good luck for the future [beautiful rifle]
This is exactly why I’m sick of mine.
can you use the pump to pump air into a scuba tank
good question.
+justliketolook yes you can =)
When you get to my age all your leaks are slow.
In my eyes the HW 100 Series is definately not for hunting to put food on the table. This evidence is from various videos on Utube
what its one of the most accurate rifles there is i don't do much hunting with it but when i do i never fail, hit rabbits rats ect up to 50 yards
its never the rifle in that case its always the nut behind it !
Marco Giove Your correct, with my Nancy & scope, I too can drop rabbits, squirrels, game birds< food> & rats at 50 yards (1 shot / 1 kill).
Papa Ritz 1 shot 1 kill !:-) yea its a great all round gun iv been using it for bench rest shooting as well and hitting some really good scores, inact its been beating the steyrs
Are you talking bollocks just to get a reaction ?
Ready for a red bull? :-)
Go and have a lie down now 😂🤣👍
go for a new carpet instead:)
Thanks, i was just looking at my drink and wondered WTF?!
I'm a frail 74yr old. That would see me off.
180cc
Wish you filmed your face also, bet you were wheezing like a 40 a day 60 year-old climbing into the bath. Scuba tank FTW... why spend £1000 on that gun and trinkets and skimp on charging it?!
it depends are easy it is to find someone to fill you bottle locally
T k u means a k T ???
bloody hell im, out of watching get a bottle feller
