Celebrity Photographer Paul Clarke says it's 'too late now' for Kensington Palace to release the original unedited photo of the Princess of Wales and her children.

Also I'm shocked the British press got involved in the whole "where is Kate" campaign when they knew where she was!! There was a whole notice given months ago.

Princess Catherine had nothing to do with this and still doesn't. This is someone else's PR fail and unnecessary controversy. There is no original photo and the Palace/media team has further complicated the incident using Kate as a scapegoat.

If that’s how you feel, the person to blame is William. Kensington Palace are an independent household - they have full control of their communications strategy or lack thereof. I personally thought it incredibly poor of William to let her take the blame when he’s the one who supposedly took the picture.

I think for Princess Catherine to have stepped forward takes just an amazing amount of courage. What an extraordinary woman. She did not look to hide behind the institution, she did not try to lay blame elsewhere, she did not cower in a corner. Under such a lonely, brutal microscope of international scrutiny and condemnation, she stepped into the flames. She rose up and stepped into the flames. I think she is BRAVE, FIERCE and HONEST.
We are always trying to teach our girls and young women to have these qualities of personal ethics, compassion, strength, courage, accountability under fire. This is Princess Catherine. She faltered but she did not flee, fell but stood up.
Princess Catherine made a mistake. Not catastrophic by any means, just an ordinary human error of judgement from a woman who has endured personal attacks for years but never faltered in her duty and dedication to the people of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Realms. I think we should stand with her, and I think she needs us now, and I think we all need to decide who we are, and if we are of decency, then we need to rally to her and shelter her from these harms we've allowed on our watch.
She tried to put out a message to make us feel better. Now she is being set on fire for it. Makes no sense.

absolutely nobody goes to edit a family photo and thinks, "well i'd better muck with that wrist and sleeve. and let me just tweak the pattern in this boy's jumper. and maybe i'll just obscure parts of this zipper and make my daughter's hair look like it's been chopped half-length on her right side." they smooth their skin tone, and they adjust colour saturation and then they post it. this is just weird. there would be no conspiracies right now if the editing had been borne of vanity.
Why does the world prosecute the Princess of Whales? Everyone was complaining to see the Princess, so the family took a photo themselves. Instead, they were getting persecuted for it . I feel the purpose of the photo of Princess of Wales and her children were meant to help stop the unnecessary theories and stories concerning her recovery. She wanted to let everyone know that each day, she is getting better and stronger. It was NOT to in any way to hide or conceal the truth. Please stop with all the guessing and give her time to heal physically, mentally and emotionally in order to help get her strength back. Her example of loyalty, commitment and service to others has inspired us to, "TO BE A CATHERINE," by sharing these traits with others who need it the most. it was a family photo done by amateurs, not an official photo from Buckingham Palace. I photo shop my Christas cards. So what.
The problem is - which is getting lost in this story - is that they to distribute it to photo agencies for distribution i.e a legitimate photo that could pass their quality standards. Had they not done that and just shared it on their social media, there wouldn’t be an issue.

It was released as an official palace photo to allude to it being a happy family snap. There was never an original.

I am guessing that there is not one original. It’s probably created by software that stitches together the best shots of each person in a series of pictures into one picture. It’s very common.

These “celebrity” photographers just want to make their money. Without the Princess of Wales, they are not making any money.
They have been fine for 4 months now
Why does it matter? All this fuss is pure media, the public couldn't have cared less till someone bought this up, and one must ask, why? We are destroying all the things that we love with petty scrutiny that means absolutely nothing, nothing at all. Leave this lovely lady alone and let her have some peace of mind.
It matters. We were told that the photo is a recent one, but now they are saying that her face was from a vogue picture that she took 8 years ago. I believe if you are ill you should be left in peace, so it was unwise to put out a photo and claim it was recent, it shows dishonesty. However the lady said that Kate is out and about so I think the easiest thing to do is for Kate to make a video and just say hello to everyone. I hope she recovers soon
She could have used a professional photographer but thought she'd do a little private pic. and, as she said, she's not a pro. It was a nice mothers day thought to keep it an informal event.

Why photoshop? People don’t always photograph well especially children who are all ways moving! Just put out a natural photo what’s wrong with that. It would have been refreshing.

As a freelance photographer for thirty years, it is few and far between that any image would be used without some degree of "editing", using an image straight out of camera is extremely rare. It is not like the faces, complexion or major element was altered. Let the Princess have her time to recover from her surgery and return when she is comfortable.

I belong to a photography club and took part in many competitions.
I was a freelance photographer and also take photos on crime scenes.
On crime scenes I had two camaras with me.
The one camera I use to shoot in raw only.
The other camara I shoot in jpg.
Crime shoot photos I never edit, not even the raw photos.
When I am finished shooting the photos that was needed, my cameras went into a sealed bag and I hand it over to the police while they still on the crime scene.
Like I said I do not need to proof to anybody that I was a photographer.
My photography came to a stop after I was in a terrible accident.
I am now disabled and if my husband take me out I use my phone to take a photo.
So zip your mouth and do not comment on anything I say.

uh... i think princess Kate is being bullied here by her husband and the royal family! If she is well, why isn't see been seen in public for so long and why would they photo shop a family photo if she is well. Maybe she is dead, maybe they killed her or she is in a coma and the RF has no other way to be accountable to the public and had to fake a family photo to calm speculation. Maybe it is true that Prince William's mistress had killed Princess Kate. All these "maybe's" will disappeared if we see the Princess herself. The public love the Princess and would like to see her safe and well. That's all the public wants right now.
How can someone recover with all that pressure, trolls? And, isn't she an almost perfect human, but still, human? Come on! She's human and made ONE mistake pushed by all of you! Please, please, give her a chance to have peace of mind, psychological and physical healing!!
Most of us were just happy to receive a photo with a lovely Mother's Day wishes message. The fact that people went in to inspect the photo at length shows that some people really need a life! The photo was not released as a proof of life at all. She has always released a photo for Mother's Day.

I don’t think bullying should be tolerated. However, what Meghan calls bullying is not always of a level to qualify as bullying. Criticism is not bullying. Also, if Meghan doesn’t want negative comments about herself I would suggest she look inward to what she has said and implied, especially about private family interactions. Also of note are the platforms she used to do so. IE: Oprah and a six part documentary. I think the last two far outweigh social media for their ability to reach more people. Additionally, the Sussexes are on a veritable treadmill of lies, misrepresentations, jealous jabs and faux royal events aimed at the True Royals that has not abated to this date.
I actually quit RUclips for the last couple days over the ridiculous backlash of that lovely photo!! Surely there is other news & interests to touch upon! Leave her alone & let her rest & heal! I had surgery that was in abdominal region. I was 14 yrs old. My dr wanted me to recuperate at home for 3 months so internal stitches can heal! She is 42 yrs old. Let’s face it, we heal slower as we age! Any internal stitches can be pulled loose, infect easily, as other issues! People act as though she has disappeared for years! Easter is 3 weeks away!
That's rich coming from the sun...it was the associate press that brought attention to the picture..rightly so...people are not hounding Catherine but it has been alleged that the photo is a mixture of other photos put together to make one...all the public want to know is .why do that and not take the photo in real time....

Yes, the professional photographer who spoke was spot on. When we take photos of people we always take more than one photo... because in one image someone is always blinking, in another image someone's mouth always looks funny and so on. When there are 4 people in a photo and 3 of them are children this is even more so.
I have a Photoshop text book (published by Adobe) and one of the lessons in the book involves this very thing: there are different photos of a woman with 3 children, all in the same group pose together, and the assignment is to create a final image that blends the best image of each person.
Who knows, maybe Kate has this same Photoshop text book and was doing exactly that.
This is much ado about nothing!
Sad that she is being shamed for her beginner Photoshop efforts... I'm guessing she won't be sharing any of her photo work with the rest of us any time soon.
