I wonder if they use Kukulkan not as the connection netween earth and sky, but between water and earth. It will be very interesting to see how much the Aztec culture is really represented and how "accurate" it will be. I'm more into Egyptian mythology, but Aztec mythology is also a very fascinating topic.

Winston Duke himself said that there isn’t a villain in the film, just an antagonist, so, based on that and other things I’ve heard them say in interviews, I feel there will be a misunderstanding masterminded by an outside force.

I honestly think the Main Villain had an understanding of power dynamics. The villain may instigate two kingdoms to create a Civil War scenario between two influential powerful cultures.
The villain will pull a Civil War Zemo.

I could definitely see someone pitting both kingdoms against each other in order to rip the rewards (natural resources). Namor being called Kukulkán gave me so many chills. M'baku is right, he is not a general, nor a king, but a god.

My money jumped out of my pocket and reserved an early showing ticket when we heard the "Feather Serpent god" line. 🪶 🐍 .

As for Tenoch Huerta as Namor, he looks amazing. God I can only imagine how well he would’ve played off of Chadwick. And Shuri as the new Black Panther looks badass. Hope Letitia Wright is ready to bear the title of Black Panther now, I know I’m rooting for her.

I kinda have the feeling Wakanda and Talocan had some kind of arrangement in the distant past and swore to each other never to reveal their secrets to the rest of the world, but T'Challa breaking that promise in Black Panther and the world aiming to get vibranium caused to Talocan to be targeted too. That happening I feel caused Namor to have a serious grudge against Wakanda, for both breaking the promise AND causing Talocan to be targeted.

I wouldnt be surprised if they introduce dr doom as the one sending in all the scientists and all to get the vibranium.

Dr. Doom is in the first credit scene. It will reveal he's put all this in motion. The second credit scene will reveal Nakia is pregnant with T'challa child. She will be on a beach setting.

I sobbed watching this trailer. I can't keep myself from crying every time I watch anything that has to do with this movie. It's going to be extremely difficult to watch, but I'm here for it. I have already bought my ticket. I'm ready.

The interesting side note with the Iron Man armor evolution is that Tony actually grappled with that sleek vs. bulky armor question early on. Oddly enough, his infinity war/end game armor doesn't offer as much protection as his earlier earlier suits (Avengers 1/2) where he is basically a walking tank. Its a classic plate armor vs chain-link debate. Tony ultimately made the choice to go lighter with the nanotech and focus on speed and adaptability, combined with increased martial arts training, over sheer protection.

i had to watch this reaction twice because ended up keeping my eyes on the trailer the whole FIRST time, even though I watched it multiple times beforehand. that's just how mesmerizing i think it is! RIP KING T'challa! cannot wait for this movie!

I believe at 2:55, that's Attuma. He will be the main antagonist. It'll be cool if Doom is pulling some strings though.

I loved this trailer, I'm still emotional over this but at least I didn't cry too much than I did in the last trailer!!! I can't wait to see it, especially with the introduction of Namor and the nation of Talocan and their sudden change and attention turned to Wakanda, as well as the fallout from T'Challa's death and the intro of Riri Williams, aka Ironheart. I can't wait for this!!!

It looks so good. I was already in but this only hyped me more! In the comics, the two kingdoms did indeed battle one another. Whether that’ll be the take given the conflict for the MCU might be different.
I know Namor is more of an antagonist than a straight up villain here but either way! He's gonna learn:

He has come for Wakanda and have dealt with them before. But MCU is different, I just hope they don't downgrade him here so that that BP can shine. This is more of a Civil War kinda scenario and should end in a stalemate rather than a fixed winner unless they wanna make one hero look weak.
Namor is a anti-hero. He don't care about surface dwellers. Sometimes he will help some but he only care about his people.

I think that's a really good point about the two coming together against a third force, Agustin. And that would make sense if what we're seeing is just the very beginning of the film. Marvel has done that a lot in the past with their most anticipated films (End Game for example) - giving only clips from around the first 15 minutes to not spoil anything, while also very expertly throwing us off what the real story is going to be about here. I like that.

What they’ve shown is only within the first hour of the movie. That last line by their mother is her speaking to Suri from the ancestral plane, because she’s going to get smoked by Namor and Dr. Doom is the instigator.

I know it's a Black Panther movie, but I was most excited about Ironheart's suit which did look like the more mech heavy suit of the Mark II variety.

The suit seems to also have her panther gauntlets on each arm integrated into the suit. Maybe I saw it wrong.

It's funny to me that Attuma is confirmed to be in the film and NO ONE talks about him. I don't know if the trailers have shown him either.
I believe Namor will be betrayed by those loyal to Attuma and he'll be the main antagonist of the film.

Thank you for addressing this, everyone is saying oh Doom this, Doom that, but Victor Von Doom, albeit a great multiverse supervillain, wouldn’t make much sense at this time. They are trying to build up Kang the conqueror who is the big baddie.
When Angela whispered "They lost their protector, its time for us to strike" --- i dont think she meant Namor's nation necessarily but i think the other world nations attempting to siege Wakanda for resources.

I do think it’ll be it’ll be Atlantis vs Wakanda. They will definitely be at war here. Will they team up somehow at the end maybe, but most of the movie will be them fighting
I agree that there maybe third party 'villain' involve in the storyline. Wakanda and Talocan will fight in the first hour and later on they realise some misjudgement and then unite to go against that third party 'villain' in the second half of the movie.
The teaser played before my showing of the Avatar re-release and it contained a few additional shots of Talocan warriors that weren't in the teaser when it was released.
That’s why Shuri was perfect for being the black panther . She understands the vibramiam and the suit . She created the suit.
Based on two cues, the “leader” line and who they show next and the music cue when they show the suit, I think it’s possible that Okoye could be the Black Panther.
I hope so. Black Panther is supposed to be a warrior & one of the best fighters on the planet/in the marvel universe. I wouldn’t be able to take Shuri seriously as BP, but Okoye on the other hand would be so badass
Yeah, Okoye or Nakia would make more sense to me tbh.
Shuri is the obvious choice due to the comic history and her being promoted in the center of the posters a lot, but I personally hope it's going to be Nakia. She inspired T'Challa in the first movie to open up Wakanda, being great leader spiritually and as one with a lot of combat experience as a War Dog.

I think Nakia makes more narrative since to take the mantle. Nakia actually has field experience going on missions and has just as close of a relationship to Ta'challa if not closer than Shuri.

Agreed. The mechanical tech is better than nanotech for Iron Man. Especially when so many characters at this point have nano masks. It gets old.
My theory is the ship you see is a team of American scientist trying to mine vibranium over waters near Wakanda and the Dora Milaje comes in to stop them which turns into a fight but the mining awakes Namor and the Dora Milaje accidentally kills one of the Talocantians which leads to a war between the two
I too wonder if Talocan has some type of precious resource (and what it would be if they do) 🤔 I’m thinking adamantium but who knows, maybe adamantium will be a derivative of virbranium in the MCU

OH MY GOD! That Black Panther at the end! What if it's Angela Bassett who is 64. She is fit enough to strike an unforgettable pose in that suit. Even if they just show her putting on the suit during an emergency until someone else can take up the mantel of the Black Panther. A stunt double could take over from there since her face would be covered. OMG! Women from around the world would feel so empowered. After all, she is the queen of the most powerful nation in the world and she looks like she could slap you into next week if she needed to!
For everyone else: When you think about whether it's Shuri or not, you have to wonder what role Nakia would have in the story without Tchalla. If they want Lupita to continue to play her role and continue to fit into the story, they will choose the path of her becoming the new BP. On the other hand, Marvel knows very well that trailer breakdowns are made on the net, so they can add anything to the trailer that can confuse the viewer and finally surprise him in the cinema :) ;)

A ak chcú aby Lupita Nyongo (snáď som to správne napísal) mohla hrať svoju rolu ďalej a aby aj zapadala do príbehu, vyberú sa cestou, ktorou práve z nej spravia nového (novú) BP. A na druhú stranu, Marvel si veľmi dobre uvedomuje, že na RUclips vznikajú rozbory trailerov a tak, preto do traileru môžu pokojne pridávať čokoľvek, čo môže zmiasť diváka a nakoniec ho v kine prekvapiť :)
There is precedent for it to be Shuri, as she took up the mantle of Black Panther in the comics.
It does seem without the Panther,Nakia's role will greatly be diminished...my thoughts!!!
I wonder is the person sending the solders is Dr. doom.... it would be a great ending scene or credit scene where a solder reports to dr. doom good or bad news.
Maybe they find vibranium on the ocean floor, and that's what kicks everything off, as it is Wakanda's duty to protect vibranium. Dr. Doom would be a good choice for the main villain, but it might be something simpler.
