Awesome tour video about my country 😇Normally it's not empty that much, usually people going out for Picknick out there near those beautiful as called 3 leg building or 8 leg building, and in the Berkarar where you had lunch, it's crowded in the evening. The first traditional hat which is puffy usually groom is wearing once during their wedding (we are celebrating wedding almost for 4 days not including engagement ceremony) the other small hat with embroidery is mostly common and part of uniform at school and at the university but for girls the design and colour is a bit different than boys'. And that shopping place we call as a Russian bazar and idk why but most tourists visiting and shopping there😁 About Kowata, it's a mysterious place for me, and a bit creepy 😅 the water was clean and warm before, idk why there were white things 🤔 About food, you should have tried "Kelle bash ayak" it's a head and legs of sheep, sounds crazy but the taste is amazing, especially tongue and eye balls without the black, "Dograma" from meaning chopping/dicing (bread), you can eat that as a dry way or with soup😋, "Tamdyr somsa" it's like a meat pie but baked in a special oven called Tamdyr... Etc. I enjoyed watching this video

@a_c_e123 The population of Turkmenistan is six million people. In this video you can see only a handful of them. The Sultan of Turkmenistan, obviously, doesn't want the foreigners to see the abject poverty in which the populace lives.
Video slightly misleading) He showed mostly the 'New City', that's a ghost part where nobody is living, only rich citizens. The majority lives in the 'Old City', but it's not so shiny and attractive) Only males can't leave country, after big emigration not long ago, huge threat for economy
It would have been more fascinating to meet the people in the villages and towns…explore their history, heritage, and culture than stare at large white buildings and an open pit of methane burning. However, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself and received great hospitality to those who cooked and offered traditional homemade food. Cheers!😊

It’s true though, about the white cars. It’s basic physics: white absorbs less heat. I heard something similar during a scientific segment on the radio. It could apparently have a real impact - at least densely populated areas. Did he really decide that for this reason? Or is he just obsessed with white (and gold)? 😂 The burning crater is insane!!
Beautiful country, what do you want more than this. When some people in Libya were conviced that democracy is the best and better than their then system under Gaddafi. A country that was the 1 producer of crude in the world, a country with one of the best economy in Africa and in the world but those people decided to revolt against the government which they succeeded. Democracy is currently being run in Libya but people now expressing what thay feel is their freedom killing each other, hunger is every in the country, prostitution is increasing every day, human trafficking and weapons dealing is rampant. Think wise and chose the best system that can move your country forward. A lot of African countries have chosen to copy America's system of governing but poverty is now killing them because it's not relating to their way of lives.

Its to keep the poor out of the country. These countries want rich people to come in with their cash. A lot of these countries have sanctions placed upon them and this is how they make a portion of their money to help the economy.
I’m from Turkmenistan, and I’ll answer the most popular question in the comments: ‘Why are there so few people on the streets?’ It’s simple - our population is relatively small compared to the size of our country. Life happens mostly in the courtyards, and no one really strolls along the main streets because there’s nothing particularly interesting there, aside from landmarks we’ve already seen many times. Also, Saturdays are considered a working day here, so people are usually busy with household chores after work or go outside to gossip with neighbors in their courtyards)
I have every right to judge authoritarian totalitarian regimes that horribly suppress their people, force them into labor, and forbid them from leaving. Get bent!
I think they are building something for the Future. And you guys (some other youtubers who got access) are slowly/silently promoting this Magestic World. But they not finished.. Its a long term plan.💎
I think Centralia, PA is a bit more creepy in terms of the environment and atmosphere around it. Mine fire has been burning since 1962 and its expected to continue for 250 more years and a whopping 4 people still live there according to a census recently

Did you watch the whole video? There's local people in it.
The majority lives in the 'Old City', but it's not so shiny and attractive)
Only males can't leave country, after big emigration not long ago, huge threat for economy
@@RazielDeTam males can leave the country tho
I was there last September. One of the most memorable places I’ve ever visited. Darvaza at sunrise was definitely a highlight!
John Oliver on next week tonight did a whole program about the président. North korea's got nothing on him
You said you now had more questions than answers. I got one. How about WHY THERE ARE NO PEOPLE?! Seems really obvious.....
In the video it has been explained that the population is indeed small & many of them immigrate to other places 🙄🙃 come on, wake up
It is North Korea of Central Asia ! If you go outside the city you will see tru story !
True
The Turkmenistan government most likely won't allow the foreigners to go outside the city. It as phoney as a three-dollar bill.
I would not want to go there. All White bldg and cars, no random persons walking down the street or anywhere!! Seems like a creepy sci-fi movie 😮
How much did the entire trip cost?
I am from Turkmenistan and I miss my home country 😢
How is it living over there?
Where are you locatrd now
I would love to read your comments about it.
how did you leave
Why did you leave?
Huge pass for me, I have a big mouth which authoritarian governments hate.
Good choice
Everybody hates it - because you are a moron.
Thank you for sharing. Other videos have suggested that they don't have or encourage many tourists to visit so you are indeed fortunate.
It would have been more fascinating to meet the people in the villages and towns…explore their history, heritage, and culture than stare at large white buildings and an open pit of methane burning. However, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself and received great hospitality to those who cooked and offered traditional homemade food.
Cheers!😊
The local common people are not allowed to interact with foreigners, it seems.
This toor seemed extremely guided.
Awsome video Jordan. What a privilege you had visiting Turkmenistan. I wouldn't mind visiting. It's a beautiful place. You also had an extremely nice guide. I realize this video take a lot of work and time but keep them coming. We appreciate you. God bless
*It’s like the whole country is a giant crappy HOA with a million useless rules* 😅
wow hello Turkmenistan shout out from the Philippines, vlogs like these are awesome thanks
The light coloured cars do not overheat like black grey and navy
So what? You should still be able to choose what color car you want. Stop making excuses for dictators
Respect the culture , rules of the countries you are lucky enough to visit - you cant have such a visit to Israel right now !
Cool video. Unique monuments with interesting vibe. Enjoyed watching.
Very reminiscent of Pyongyang, North Korea to be honest. Minus all the people made to look happy & like they’re having a “great time”. I mean where are all the people?? It is beautiful but…. there’s something very sad about this place.
What's the bath/washroom and toilet facilities like at the camp?
Wow! Thank you for this video! So many revelations! I really appreciate it! Love from Latvia!
I don't know if it was sensitive to delve into, but are there cultural nuances, including restrictions, that can be explored? Great great video I like it!
Don’t take pictures. You have to get an ok from the guide before any picture can be taken
All these expensive shops in expensive houses with expensive lighting that probably stays powered during the night too, while the population is living in villages with no access to most luxuries other countries take for granted. Beautiful country with beautiful people but it's haunting to think of what could've been.

Howa = Hawa = Air
Manzili = Manzil = Destination
Cool.
😍😍👍
The people there are so poor they can't afford even the gasoline that's cheaper than water.
Most homes have no running water.
This country has been so badly run it's dying.
This is what happens when you have strict laws no theft, no crime and clean cities
Leave the capital to see reality.....then glib comments of cleanliness fall short in the face of starving people.
Don't you want to ask "Why do many peoples immigrate ?" The answer is : "Because they love LIFE... without defeating their love for the AFTERLIFE" 😊🙏💕
Wow. It’s such a young country! I wonder if the people of the country fear Russia doing to them what they’re doing to Ukraine… by the way… thank you for taking us along on your amazing travels!
PROBABILMENTE ESSENDO UNO STATO EX URSS ABBIANO TIMORE DELLA RUSSIA DI OGGI...😬
20:54 Sorry to ask..where or how is toilet use working there, like in the yurt camp. Handy to bring toiletpaper/ Or is it available there.. Looks awesome, great video, and the hospitality, though not many people seen.. Amazing experience. Greetings from the Netherlands
Good questions
It’s true though, about the white cars. It’s basic physics: white absorbs less heat. I heard something similar during a scientific segment on the radio. It could apparently have a real impact - at least densely populated areas. Did he really decide that for this reason? Or is he just obsessed with white (and gold)? 😂
The burning crater is insane!!
Scary AF. Turkmenistan is that. YIKES 😳
An empty city of white with absolutely no people😢 WTF???
Still I’d choose Turkmenistan over North Korea
@@thelema3278 Underrated comment. You say so much between one line. Well done.
😆😆😆😆😆😄😄😄😄😂😂😅😅😅😅😅 That's the True !!
Thanks for this vid! Planning on going there myself in the next 6-8 months. Any chance you could post or send me contact info for your Turkmen tour company and Tim? Seems like an upright operation and good value for what you paid! Thanks!
I used Trawelco! They handled my visa for me and were really good to work with.

There is one of those huge non stop fires in Pennsylvania, but it's underground
Cool video man! I checked for some flights to Turkmeni from Istanbul and wow they are so expensive all the time. Like extreme. Why is this?
Its to keep the poor out of the country. These countries want rich people to come in with their cash. A lot of these countries have sanctions placed upon them and this is how they make a portion of their money to help the economy.
you are fantastic, i was thinking about travelling there too, thank you for a wonderful guiding
I’m from Turkmenistan, and I’ll answer the most popular question in the comments:
‘Why are there so few people on the streets?’
It’s simple - our population is relatively small compared to the size of our country.
Wow, everyone is just judging the country in the comments. Sometimes, just observing is okay. Nice video!
Exactly... Dont judge whatever you dont understand...
I have every right to judge authoritarian totalitarian regimes that horribly suppress their people, force them into labor, and forbid them from leaving. Get bent!
@@lenaannis8787 Everyone judges everything all the time,it's called"thinking".
@@rick-be No thinking is to get your body fm the couch and educate your self
Seems like a beautiful place to visit. Lots of interesting attractions. Too bad it's not as open to tourists as other places.
I think they are building something for the Future. And you guys (some other youtubers who got access) are slowly/silently promoting this Magestic World. But they not finished.. Its a long term plan.💎
Hi ! Thanx for this great video.
Could you tell me which company you booked a tour with ? Would you recommand it ?
I think Centralia, PA is a bit more creepy in terms of the environment and atmosphere around it. Mine fire has been burning since 1962 and its expected to continue for 250 more years and a whopping 4 people still live there according to a census recently
Ty so very much for the tour.
They seem you coming and told everyone to stay away from you.
Be safe in t
Your travels Brother
That white stuff in the pool isn't jelly fish, my friend.
you make me so curious to know more about this country its beautiful and worth to visit
Good video,
What was on the writing on that thing that they said not to film?
Agree. I tried to pause and read it but it’s too blurry
Thanks for showing us this secretive place. We can learn about countries of our planet through such videos. Of course here is one perspective.
We didn't see their women and how they live. When we see their women we'll know how advanced they are as a society.
Come on... They can't possibly feature woman on tour, right ? 😂😂😂 You're so funny guys 👋😂
Really enjoys your contents. Just 1 little thing, you might want to mentions the trips tour/guides or friends or associates or buddies whatever the relationship are, for theirs guides big thanks to them 🎉🎉
How you gonna have a golden dog statue in your capital, but don't allow dogs in ghe same city?
This was an awesome video! Seems like really nice people and a really nice clean country.
Sweetheart, it's called a Potemkin village. Everything you saw is what you were allowed to see. The real Turkmenistan has to be something more sinister.
What a fascinating place! Thank you for exploring it for us!
Thanks for watching :)
White & gold are really nice ...
strange indeed they have no one going to see any of the grandeur.
that statue with the big hat & the khopesh looked like a boss
A fascinating and well put together piece on this enigmatic country. I really enjoyed that. Türkmenistan sounds like a real challenge to get to yet you did it. Sag boluň!
So jealous that you went! You've been on a hot steak with your travel destinations!!
