Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could ruclips.net/user/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
When a fish blows up On it it’s exciting and makes you want to set the hook immediately which used to be my mistake instead when the fish hits it count to three and then set it hard
I've never caught anything on a frog, but hoping to soon! Top water bites are fun, but I've only caught a fish on a popper and the bass came out of the water for it. #BigBassEnergy #fishing - the best way to keep your social distancing
It's a shame you had to take out the music that I put in the edit for the fail montage... it made it so dang funny😂but it was still hilarious with out it!
Frogging is just one of those techniques that I haven't really put much effort behind. I guess I just need to be a little more persistent & patient. Love the vids Noah!
Dope frog 🐸 video! I love you and Fletcher together, y'all have a great bromance chemistry (no homo)! Awesome catches & loved, loved, loved the failed hook set montage 🤣🤣🤣
Noah, I absolutely love frog fishing…I am like you…I would fish with a frog everyday if I could!! I watch you daily if I’m not on the water! Love the channel!!!
My favorite top water bait is the jitter bug in black. When in current you just let it wobble back and forth and they just inhale the lure. Of course I fish rivers and creeks a lot. But in this lake your fishing it would work fine the cover isn't thick. And those look like spotted bass. Great job.
I Had a bucktlist to catch a topwater bass catch. im 38 and caught my first one on my property then 2 more at a resivor near me. i feel completed and you were a huge help just watching the way to control the bait. i still have a ways to go but thank you!
Stanley ritbit frog #2 hook tip buried in the back can be thrown into all kinds of weeds and never get snagged, the single hook holds fast on the bite and is easy to remove. Jade green with red spots works the best. Foot counters flap well with a jerking retrieve and it can be run over the top of Lilly pads or penetrate below. If I had to have one lure for bass that would be it but many of them when they get chewed up. Cheap and effective.
Just got my first GoPro hero8! Just curious on what you use for settings on your GoPro and any other tips are welcome! Also what other camera equipment you use! Thanks love your channel I have learned alot from watching your channel!
loved this video I was wondering is there a specific time of the day that I should use the top water frog and dose the weather has a factor being that I live in Kissimmee Florida?
Heavy poles with a fast tip, a high gear ratio reel loaded with braid is popular for frog set ups. That way you can get out of heavy cover faster, with less line breaks, and the braid means no stretch when you go to set those heavy hooks on a long cast like you get with mono.
Can you do a more in depth Tip video on how to use Frogs. Cause I have one but I think I'm using it incorrectly. One designed about where to fish, what type of action to give things like that. I know color doesn't really matter per say.
I love the frog fishing. Best time for bass. I use a cheap Walmart ozark trail black/yellow with white highlights. Does the trick. If not classic color. Good video tho. Thnx
Damn bro I definitely need a frog bite I have two frogs the lunkerhunt one with the rotating feet like whopper plopper and a simple hollow body. What would you recommend using and what type of retrieve should I do with the lunkerhunt one
Prepare yourself to miss 75%+ of fish. If the weeds are not to bad I recommend taking pliers and bending the hooks a little so they stick out more. They are fun and nice for challenge but there are a lot better topwater, weedless options. Just look how many Noah missed at the end of his video. He could have caught most of those bass on other baits, there wasn't even any weeds he could have used other baits with treble hooks and caught 95% of those fish. Good luck.
Next videos on the boat! Who’s ready for that?! What’s your favorite FROG to throw?

I love top water baits. Haven't ever caught anything on a frog
Tim Mann dude you need to get the booyah pad crasher that is the brown one he has on its killer
You're missing out! Nothing more exciting than catching bigguns on frogs
When a fish blows up On it it’s exciting and makes you want to set the hook immediately which used to be my mistake instead when the fish hits it count to three and then set it hard
Just keep trying it will happen.
Tanks for the tips and encouragement guys. Much appreciated.

You + Fletcher + Topwater = BANGER!!!!!!
I’ve caught a couple bass with spines like that, not sure if they are naturally deformed or if they were attacked as small bass.
Georgia Bassmasters most hump backs were hit when they were small.
It can also be snake bit. If a snake strikes a fish, sometimes the venom deforms the spine
Turtles bite bass all the time were I'm from
Scott Gomez true true
Whirling disease
That hunchback bass was insane! I haven't fished with frogs yet. I'm gonna give it a try for the first time soon.
Well watching the GOAT miss so many hook sets makes me feel a little better. Thanks for that Noah 👊

Frogging is just one of those techniques that I haven't really put much effort behind. I guess I just need to be a little more persistent & patient. Love the vids Noah!
Every time one gets off my frog I usually say “THAT WAS AN EASY 10 lbs”
Use a trailer hook you will get 70% more hookups. I think the brand is lake fork
@@joematty1353 I just go to a spot where 10lbers swim below your feet

Man i love the vids as much as I love watching you as a good fisherman. You should do a video on the cheap rod and reel combo vs the expensive 👍👍👍

That is dope man
15 vs 20lb floro?? What do you recommend. Gonna be using it for chatterdonks and crankbaits
loved this video I was wondering is there a specific time of the day that I should use the top water frog and dose the weather has a factor being that I live in Kissimmee Florida?
Love your videos!!! ❤😊
Watching ur video while editing my own!
My favorite frog is the booyah pad crasher frog
I'm just happy that I'm not the only one that has hookset problems with a frog
What setting breaks do you have on for frog fishing.
What pole are you using? I’m new to fishing
Lews Pro t.i , it’s not cheap💀😂
Heavy poles with a fast tip, a high gear ratio reel loaded with braid is popular for frog set ups. That way you can get out of heavy cover faster, with less line breaks, and the braid means no stretch when you go to set those heavy hooks on a long cast like you get with mono.

Getting a bass hooked with a frog can be really inconsistent but it's still probably my favorite way to fish
Popping pickle all the way man so 🔥
Come down to Lake Istapokga in central Florida! They catch 4-6lbers on average but ive seen a guy come and get a 12 and a 14 and said they were small.
Love this tactic! We are getting all kinds of bass on all baits on our channel. Awesome time to fish!l Keep it up!!
What gear ratio do you like for frogs and do you like medium heavy or heavy ?
That bass, looked like a still-shot model for B.A.S.S
And my favorite frog is the popping frog
What kind of boat and trolling motor are you using
Dude...Dude...Dude. 😂
what braid are you using it looks awesome! i want some black braid
Hay lắm anh
Nice fishhhh
Damn bro I definitely need a frog bite I have two frogs the lunkerhunt one with the rotating feet like whopper plopper and a simple hollow body. What would you recommend using and what type of retrieve should I do with the lunkerhunt one
Mix up retrieves see what works best at location, but definitely add in pauses. I get a lot of lure bites on the pause.
@@scuba6797 thanks bro for reply I'll try hopefully I could get it on cam lol
DUDE!!!😂
All my years of fishing I’ve never used a frog. Guess I’ll try one.
It's fun watching bass blow up on a frog gets your blood pumping
Prepare yourself to miss 75%+ of fish. If the weeds are not to bad I recommend taking pliers and bending the hooks a little so they stick out more. Do you still fish 13.. Noticed a lot of Lews... What is your go-to these days?
I get alot of misses with frogs. Wish there was a trailer hook for them...if not that's a great idea 💡
What kind of boat is that? They look really stable and perfect for this kind of fishing.
