Hi Yasuhiro, first and foremost thank you for taking the time to make the video and for sharing your idea/version on how to make the jigs! Most of us will have these kinds of tools in our shops as well scraps of wood, what a simple but effective way to use up the scraps. For me this video came at a good time, I have to make some Black Walnut and Purple and Yellow Heart dowels for some projects I’m working on. Thanks again for sharing, looking forward to your next video 🙏 Take care, Wayne
My favourite type of jigs, simple and easy to make and are extremely useful ... especially liked the last method of creating round tapered legs (or whatever they are used for) ... superb 👍
This is so awesome. I aint a woodworker but have ran into a bunch of times i needed a certain dowel size that a store didnt have. Now i can easily just make any size.... that is if i remember this trick 🤣
I love using dowels in my projects. This is great! My dad likes his kreg jig and screws. It works but the ascetics of a dowel is superior to a screw. Thank you, sir.
I had to make a 5/16" Maple dowel and I used the the one blade method clamped to the edge of the board over the 5/16" hole and it worked exactly as shown. Perfect
Don't use a thin bladed kataba saw for this if possible. The few teeth doing the cutting will wear VERY quickly. The example of the chisel used after that in the video is much better because the mass of the chisel can absorb the heat and the edge can be quickly resharpened.
i think the trick to consistency is to have the piece of timber remain level as it goes through. the drill moves up and down as its pushed forward varying the thicknes slightly perhaps a shelf on either side of the hole will lessen that variance but some very good ideas in there
I can understand the use of using a "jigsaw" blade but, a normal saw? What's the risk of over heating the saw blade and ruining said saw? What about using a hacksaw blade instead? I've seen dowels made on a table saw before using a similar jig as what you did with the cordless drill. Love your work and channel. Great video, cheers :)

With the simple methods, doesn't the dowel come out a bit too thin? First, you are cutting off a bit of the side of the hole. And second, the jigsaw blade has a kerf. Are there ways around this?

True, but it is just one of many ways shown and gives you alternative ways to make eg if the saw is all you have to hand
@@Grahammon Of course sometimes options are limited. People should just be aware that some jig designs are a lot more temporary than others
動画を拝見してワンブレードを真似させていただきました! まあまあの精度で出来ました。
あとはペーパーで焦げを落として穴埋めの埋木として使いました。とても参考になりました。
ありがとうございました。
that last machine is awesome, great for furniture legs
It's the kind of techniques in always in need of. The perfect medicine.
I love the circular saw lathe. Super dope.

Das war sehr, sehr hilfreich. Vielen Dank dafür. I`m very impressed. 😎 👍👍👍
You are a wonderful woodworker Yasuhiro San! 🪚
I from Indonesia....I like🎉 because simple
I think my mind exploded at about the 5 min mark! =D

Dopest the saw and drill!!
Будем иметь ввиду, спасибо за идею!
I’m always amazed with what you come up with ❤
I found out a way to make round material smaller by rolling it on a table saw surface. You just set the blade height to the amount you want to remove.
It's a good one
Thank you!
Sei un GENIO
This guy is serious about his dowel rods
Потрясающе.

Smart guy❤
Einfach Klasse ,danke 💪👁️
Good sounds
Thanks
So cool..
Parabéns muito bom seu trabalho 👏👏👏👏
