I have a video series where we swapped an engine and trans out of a wrecked car with a good engine and trans and put those into a donor car that had this bad engine in it here is a link for that ruclips.net/video/lyIu3ObYc5M/видео.html Since we already had a replacement engine and trans we just tore this bad one down to see what was wrong with it. It had multiple spun rod bearings. So we just scrapped the engine out along with the wrecked car. In my experience you can find replacement engines much much cheaper than the cost of rebuilding one. It cost quite a bit of money to have a machine shop clean, resurface, bore, hone, line hone, rebuild the cylinder heads, grind and polish the crankshaft, buy an engine rebuilding kit with all the new parts, and on and on. Gets pricey real quick. It is usually much cheaper and faster to just go with a remanufactured engine or buy a low mile engine that came out of a wrecked car at an auto salvage yard/junk yard. Well thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Have a good day.
Calling out the bolt sizes is one of the best parts of these videos. Lots of 10s, 13s, and 15s. Good to know!
alll your videos are very entertaining...thank you I love this engine's I know someone with a 2003 Pontiac grand prix with 300k
Thank you for watching!
I have a 3.1 engine but I want to put a 3.4 engine in my malibu will it work
Yea there about the same size just the cylinders are little bigger on the 3.4 but not by much. Everything else should fit and hook up the same
Quisiera saber si es posible poner ese motor carburado
Sí fuera en español...
Cambie juntas de cabezas de motor 3.1 y me mezclo agua con aceite porque sucedió eso

why not rebuild the engine
