Let me fix that, flaws for you* everyone doesn’t consume things the same way. I love it as a relaxing exploration game. I don’t necessarily want another Elden Ring before Elden Ring DLC. It was a nice change for me after hundreds of hours of Elden Ring
@@nicolasgarcia253 back to 2022, won game of the year. it's good game and so much contents for that price. it's also my favorite game so far. however, i'm not sure about the dlc, i am a bit skeptical they release a mobile version of elden ring by tencent (greedy company that ruin good game).
In defense of Trickster it is the best Vocation for drawing aggro and being a tank. Being able to place the Target Dummy exactly where you want knowing it isn't going to move from there unless you want it to or it dies alone makes it really good for tanking because enemies aren't going to be knocking their target around and conversely moving around a lot. You also possess a damage buff for the pawns and a decent CC ability so you can resummon the target dummy, However the best vocations can kill the strongest enemies in seconds and having you do damage with a pawn tanking is way more reliable than waiting for pawns to do damage.
Depends. If you don't like relying on BS like Magick Archer martyr cheese, that removes one of the biggest player exclusive nukes. Pawn DPS is also heavily affected by disposition. Have you not tried a straightforward sorc with maelstrom and meteoron? I swear those kinds of pawns literally spam their nukes the first chance they get, all the time, every time. The sorc pawn I hired opens every damn fight by just casting Meteoron, so I have ten seconds to run around as a warfarer before everything dies...
@@FelisImpurratorthis or Calm some I hired spams those aswell made me replace that pawn cause they delete enemies really quickly, which I don’t like cause it also deletes my laptop making it really hot hahaha 🤣
@@franzukato2822 Lmao rip, FPS damage. Classic. Well, Calm will hang back, so they're good at not taking aggro, I guess. Gives them lots of room to decide "it's meteor time". I have great performance outside Vermund, so Maelstrom/Meteoron sorc has never left my party for too long. Unlike High Celerity, Aromatic seems to affect spells properly, so whenever I remember to be Trickster every cast hits with the fury of the sun.
It would be better if pawns played as aggressive as we do imo. They don't spam abilities as fast as us and they ain't the best at dodge aoe so that's what brings tricksters rating down for me. If AI was a little better, I'd run this class as main, but AI pathing and actions is terrible
Or you could manual aim with the archer and get heads/weakspots and do litterally 10 times the dps ... Also aimed shots actually charge the bow more and baseline do way more damage whilst barelly affecting your firerate...If you aim your shots archer is definite S tier
@@highwan9513 my go to spammed skill is deathly arrow that became straight up amazing once i got the timing down for perfect charge up, then the aimed master skill and to a lesser extent exploding arrows, if i really want to give status with my current enchant (usually pawn granted thunder) i end up using the spiral shot For some reason people don't understand that archer class rewards accuracy not just spamming square
Mystic spearhand brings out my inner Sith Lord. Run towards a group of enemies while charging Forbeding Bolt, release and do the AOE explosion, use Devout Offringe, yeet said group over a cliff, battle over. Still hasn't gotten old.
Trickster is S tier for money farming lol. Summon your ghost, do your aoe smoke agro, then just start slapping monsters with your little golden ball to magically "make it rain gold" while your 3 sorcerers are completely left alone to cast meteor in the back. Way to put the game on easy mode. If you would've talked to me 2 days ago, I would've also put Trickster at the bottom. It's solidly at the top for me now.
If the sorcs have maelstrom you can make this even funnier, especially in caves. The smoke cloud's taunt is so strong, it will make enemies disregard self-preservation and leap into a maelstrom if you or your clone are in the center. Pretty much instakills every small enemy in the entire game.
Or mage with palladium, leven and frigor to have defence, healing and magick damage sorted and 2 thieves with plunder, just buff and sit back watch a film lol
Or you can be warfarer (combine magic archer and sorcerer = damage + sphere + levitation). p.s. - I'm still thinking what would be the best class (or combo) for end game (to give myself easy farm time before ng+)
Fighter is A tier. If you play it right you can pwn anything. You can shield pummel and knock down drakes in 1 or 2 tries depending on yiur knockdown power then jump on them and skewer to death pretty quick. Smaller enemiers just shield pummel knock down and skewer and their dead super quick.
I mean the best class is clearly magick Archer with Martyrs bolt but that also drains your health. So the best class is using formless feint and blades of the pyre with the thief
So do Maelstrom and Meteoron. That, or they do some kind of piercing? Seism is quicker, but Maelstrom and Meteoron can functionally deal true damage to a golem. In my game I have a mod that makes enemies tankier, so golems often survive with no weakspots... But my sorc pawn's maelstrom takes care of that. (Also is that Heavyrain from Arknights? Good taste)
@@addamriley5452 Hagol does ice damage, and not a lot of it. It's mostly a CC spell, but it is very, very good at that. Lots of frozen enemies with it, especially with the +20% status proc augment.
thief has a few abilities that make it s tier in my book... I keep finding myself going back to it because of these: it has its rope attack, which trips foes - bypassing a lot of defenses, like shields or the lizard's scales and lets me coup de grace EVERY non-boss enemy and deals with fliers quite nicely too. they've got a smoke screen which lets me ALSO coup de grace non-boss enemies, but this time from within a group of foes who won't attack me. Its got its spinning attack, which I believe to be the best DPS in the game. and its got the concussive step which ties in with the crown-splitter to let me go places that are FAR out of reach! AND a master skill that makes you immortal.. all in all I think its the best class!
Magic archer is easily S-tier, Marty’s bolt is the strongest skill in the game and you don’t even have to use it to melt opponents. Ricochet Hunter demolishes anything in a closed space and Sagittate Avalanche charged up destroy everything. mixed with the right augments on an opponent’s weakpoint. Super Easy mode
I'm a trickster main and literally beat every boss in the game with ease. Don't even need a Mage because we barely take damage and Dragons Delusion is great for staggering bosses. Pawns can be very reliable if you give them proper inclinations and skills. Never had an issue. I accept that its not everyone's cup of tea. Not doing damage in an action RPG is very different. Also the damage buff ability can make a archer with heavenly shot or warrior do massive damage. I actually switched to magick archer for a bit more of a challenge because trickster made the game too easy lol.
i think trickster needs poison applied on its attacks/smoke skills... so it can at least do some damage... especially if they are going to force you into 1 vs 1 situations at least twice in the game where trickster has no chance of success cus 0 damage.
Trickster should’ve been the one applying sleep on enemies. Not the magic archer. Being a main trickster and not be able to putt enemies AT LEAST to sleep(don’t cause any damage) it’s dumb.
What's your setup for offensive Fighter? I usually just have burst strike into riotous fury to ensure it doesn't miss, with shield pummel and flawless guard because I figured the shield would do more stagger. Still sucks at knockdowns though. Should I be running hindsight or vengeful over flawless, and is gutting skewer good against big enemies? Small enemies are basically irrelevant to me at this point.
@@FelisImpurrator The fighter meister skill can just outright kill a drake if you hit weak point which is super super strong comparing to others because it does not even drain all stamina. It also has perfect parry and the skill to help clinging on enemies weakpoint Usually I go with Vengeful Slash, Righteous Fury, Burst Strike and Shield Pummel or Gutting Skewer I use Shield Pummel more because it offer huge stagger and aoe so they get down weaker for me to use righteous. Parry (Vegenful Slash) is probably the most important skill because it parry everything and you are guarantee for it every single time. It is probably what allow you to go through everything and dealing damage while not taking anything back May be it is not optimal but I use the aggro ring and aggro argument so everything focus on me. It is on purpose so I can parry more and can actually deal with harpies since they will come for attack and I just hold the parry waiting for them to commit suicide.
I think Archer is S with pawns as long as you don’t depend on the element arrows. My pawn has came in clutch so many times with flying targets and how often they hit virtually spots on bigger targets. Too good!
Problem is just people making bad pawns, like slapping on every element arrow for some ungodly bad reason. They should be putting at most explosive shot on, but it's better if they have no ammo-based shots. Spiral is one of the most broken CC/status tools in the game (can stunlock any small enemy and automatically ground harpies, and even stagger large enemies or shred armor, and it's perfect for status due to the hit count), archer pawns actually can and do use heavenly shot effectively (because they focus weakspots and are frankly more accurate than the average player, myself included), and overall a properly built one is just very consistent at both damage and stagger. Sucks that we can't easily inspect pawn gear while hiring though. Would be nice to know immediately if someone had the good sense to give their pawn a dwarven enchant and spiral shot at the very least.
Mage also got a shielding spell that casts an orb near the target and protects it from 3 attacks. At high version it applies to nearby allies so the brokenness of it is when you run a mage and three melee characters (or three distance classes) that will likely be near eachother, and one cast protects everyone. Ive seen my sorcerer finish incantations unphased despite having foes on its back thanks to it. Even as a Spearhand i dropped the bubble shield with this skill on the party
Have you tried mystic spearhead? If that doesn't work, you may have chronic thief syndrome. There is no cure... you can only treat it with a regular dose of Helm splitter.
Mystic spearhand has a great dps if you want to play around with the high stamina skills and the stamina drain. Juggling the stun and those skills. Pretty easy to casually stunlock a dragon to death in a handful of seconds.
Ravinour's Hond is one of the most broken skills in the entire game, but everyone just obsesses over Mirour Shelde even though you technically don't need it past level 50ish. Foin+Feste+Furie+Hond is all you need to deal with anything really. Maybe Speregonne if you really hate fliers, or Offringe if you just don't care about loot anymore and just want to end trashmob fights instantly by throwing everything into the brine. Mystic Spearhand is peak fun class. The timing windows for Quik Fot and the spinning combo suck though.
@@FelisImpurrator I person have no issues with fot but I have to really mash for the twirling attack. My hands have some mild nerve damage so it's hard to tap that fast anymore. Other then that yeah, spearhand is just fun. I do like the shield for covering pawns more than me but I do agree you have some great options. I really like furie because I can get a great loop of stun locking drakes, chimeras, etc with it,the stun, and hond. The assorted movement attack skills are fun too.
Personally I think Trickster is A tier Or at least so fun for me. I love controlling the battlefield and leading the enemies on while buffing my pawns. I use the spell books to augment the vocation and work around the no damage limitation.
I agree with trickster being A in terms of strength. The damage buff for the pawns is just insane, but i wish there was a way to apply illusions faster and in with more control as to where yo can place them. I think if that skill where you fly around as the illusion was a core skill and you could use skills while controlling it would be amazing
@@Praisethesun342it’s more why put in a ton of effort only to get meh results in comparison to meh effort and just destroying everything with ease on nearly every other vocation
"On this vocation youre targeted and youre vulnerable" This is exactly why a well spec'd pawn is important. Imo the purpose of Warrior and Fighter is to TANK everything!!!!! Leaving you to play any other vocation without being targeted all the time. Leaving you to focus on using your skills in combat. But TOO many players put their main pawn as a Warrior or Fighter and they have NO AGGRO perks!!! What good is your front liner Fighter/Warrior pawn if it's no controlling the mobs?!?!? No Roar/Shield summon. No Provocation. No Ring of Disfavor. Useless! (This also goes for the player. If you're not playing Warrior or Fighter, have "Subtlety" on!!) If a pawn Fighter/Warrior has Roar/Shield summon + Provocation augment + Ring of disfavor (more likely to be targeted ring) then absolutely nothing but death will make that fighter/warrior lose aggro. Just make sure the mage pawn in your party has Kind hearted inclination and Argent succor. And voila... you have a legitimate tank. But if you are someone that actually enjoys playing Mage, this is the most enjoyable way to play. As you will NEVER be targeted. Unless you are in front and you are the first thing the enemy see's. But in a moment it will switch to your tank. But you can play ANY of the other vocations without being targeted. Like being a Thief with back attack dmg bonus.
I hire a _StraightForward_ Thief with double _Rings of Disfavor_ instead. My main sorcerer can now complete the long casting time spells most of the time 😂 . (With double _Rings of Recitation_ .) I plant the bright white explosive ( _Augural Flare_ ) & commanded *Go!* The thief aggressively strikes the weakest point immediately!
In NG+ you become a god no matter what you play. You get yet another tier of equipment but mobs remain the same, so you end up just oneshoting everything.
Mystic Spearhead is my fav & S tier. i can easily take down drakes so easily. one mage pawn then 1 thief & one fighter/warrior pawn .spamming the shield so its endless attacking. having my mage give the team ice weapons so its instantly draining its health without us taking damage
Mystic Archer (or Warfarer through his skills) is the best class in my opinion (100+ level and 200+ hours in the game). Arguments: 1) Homing arrows at enemy vulnerable spots. Playing as a MA is like playing as a missile turret with auto-targeting. 2) Elemental arrows for every taste (fire, cold, lightning). 3) Magic damage of bows that penetrates all opponents without applying an element to your weapon. Invulnerable enemies are no longer a problem(stone lizards or slimes). 4) No need to approach bosses and climb on them. You can deal damage to vulnerable spots just standing on the ground. 5) An arrow to heal and resurrect your pawns (you can heal and resurrect from afar). 6) Arrow for suppression and control. You can quickly put any bosses on the ground and finish them off with a strong skills. For example, playing as a warfarer, you can put the Gorgon to sleep, then switch to the weapon of a thief or warrior and deliver a strong blow. This will instantly decapitate the boss and you will receive the preserved head. I stopped taking warriors and sorcs into my squad at high levels because they did not have time to realize their potential. All bosses are completed very quickly. The most fun vocations for me are the mystical spearman and sorc.
Actually, yeah. It's just a super sink or swim vocation. You either hit heads and butcher everything in your path underleveled, or you miss and do tickle damage, no inbetween. Seems like you can build it just fine without spending a single unit of ammo too, with manifold, spiral, dire/heavenly (heavenly if you have a Paean mage or a mountain of potato roborants), dire if you don't), and either cascade or tempest... Spiral is bullshit good on account of spamming status absurdly quickly with a boon on top of functionally insta-grounding harpies. That thing is sleeper OP, considering a properly setup mage can easily remove any need for the elemental arrow ammo...
Agreed! He must not be playing it correctly to rank it so low because I was practically unkillable when I was using it to the point where the game felt almost unfair.
Great video, honestly I think people are slandering trickster, with 1 mage and two sorcerer pawns the trickster is insane. You create so much room and draw so much attention, your casters can just spam huge spells with impunity and turn any fight into an automated nuke factory.
@@TrayGolden Best setup I've used is Burst Strike, Full Moon Slash, Gutting Skewer, and then Riotous Fury or Vengeful Slash depending on preference. And yeah, Fighter is underrated. It's WAY faster than a warrior, and better at dealing with enemies that move. You can climb on enemies and do outstanding damage with Gutting Skewer. Tusk Toss has great knockdown for when you need it. Being able to block isn't trivial, either. Vengeful Slash has a counter window to it that actually works, unlike Tidal Wrath on a Warrior that's great for blocking damage but the window to actually get the counterattack is almost impossible to pull off, and Vengeful Slash makes fights against aggressive enemies like a Dullahan much, much easier. Riotous Fury does about as much as a fully charged Indomitable Lash, and it's easier to land. I think the main problem is that people try to compare it to Sorcerer's maister spells, or a Thief spamming Skull Splitter, and nothing compares to those. But between a Fighter and a Warrior, it's more just a choice between burst or steady damage as a player. Pawns are better as Warriors, but as a player you should be able to do just as well with a Fighter.
What kind of build are you roxking because I've tried everything to get fighter more power put uhh... it ain't working and I'm not seeing any significant attack increase.
Thief has a move that can get easily overlooked that is the "blade dance" from Monster Hunter, by pressing light attack repeatedly fast. It has relatively high dps and costs no stamina. Together with the evade move, you have 0 stamina dps and 0 stamina mobility.
Magic archer's ult is so good.. i love being a magic arching Warferer. Because they said it costs your health temporarily but its permenant till you sleep or use a rare all heal potion.
I look forward to the day where some streamer will try solo Trickster play start to finish, well almost start to finish. I wonder if it will even be possible.
Fighter is on s or a tier especially I. End game , there’s so much utility it’s a great jack of all master of none except for magic . It’s such a great vocation, personally I think it’s so much better then warrior . In the end this my opinion yours might be different no need to come for my head
I find fighter to be really good on pawns. MUCH more consistent than warrior pawns it’s not even a comparison. They reliably use skills and land them while warriors will let off these non charged attacks
@@Phantom-bh5ru Same. Fighter is way more agile than Warrior too and thus less susceptible to getting damage from the enemies. I give my main pawn Riotous Fury for damage, Hindsight Slash for agility (which they use a lot and very effectively), Shield Bash for blunt damage and knockdown, and Shield Summons.
Trickster surprised me. It seemed meh at first glance. But it is the best tank vocation in the game. You must have the empower ability to berserk your pawns. Watching them shred enemies is quite the spectacle.
Plus it make em immortal. I took down drake super super early by "recalling" them to my side before it expire, rez em all at once, redo the skill and back to business
Warfarer is the best. Literally if you like one vocation, more than an another, just equip all the skills you use for that vocation on a warfare vocation. And if you can't use maister skills, put them on your pawn or hire pawns with the master skill you like. For example, summoning meteors is freaking badass, just use a pawn who can do it and keep using warfarer because not only do you upgrade that vocation, you also upgrade every single other vocation
I don't agree that archer is weak from the get go. All you have to do is actually manually aim at the targets weak spots. It requires skill to use and good aiming, it will surely feel like the damage isn't there is your are using quickshots instead. Lol
The trickster just need alittle damage, I like it but the kill time for most enemies is too high, it need a heal smoke or a poison smoke, if it had a heal smoke you could replace the mage with another dps or with a poison smoke you could help with dot ticks which would be cool
I don't use mage when I'm on trickster and have no issue, the berserk isn't needed on smalls mobs and on bosses you only need it once at best unless super low level. Alternative is looking for a straightforward mage pawn with only attack skills and ur gucci they won't support and focus ttack
I wish more people spoke about how op smoke bomb for thief is. Anyone who gets hit by smoke bomb not only just end up standing there confused and searching for target, but you straight up ONE SHOT almost all small to medium enemies with twin fangs, and u can perform one shots even after the shroud wears off as you are technically still stealthed. You can also hold down twin fangs to pin down small or medium enemies which leads to massive damage (mostly 1 shot) and to mount monsters instead of grabbing them. smoke bomb, along with skull splitter (or draw and quarter), with formless feint and blades of pyre spam combination is the most broken thing ever and makes the game a complete joke.
why is no one ever talking about the lifetaking arrow on the magick archer. That thing is probably the largest AOE move in the game with almost 0 cast time, high enough damage and almost no aiming required to kill everything in its path
Yes to your "S" tier rankings. That's exactly what it should be. Those vocations either have the top damage by far, or some of the situationally highest damage with tons of versatility on top.
When Magick Archer can literally melt HP bars with sagittate avalanche. Yeah no. Equip it with stamina augments esp the one from warfarer, then enhance sagittate avalance in dragonforge. i literally can spam it. Also... The aoe revive. Like idk what you're talking about.
Warfarer gets the best fashion since you can literally wear whatever I like using the duospear and magic bow saggitate avalanche dragons feast magic sheilde and rearm though I switch out DF for Ricochet hunter regularly
you can make the thief even better in ng+ by going to the dragonforged guy and improving the skill formless feint which halves the stamina consumption your basically in god mode almost all the time
I just got back to playing Thief after getting the relevant augments from other vocations and I am so happy to be back to such a fun playstyle. Mystic Spearhand and Magick Archer were fun, and now I finally unlocked the Wayfarer. I might take a brief break from Thief just to get those augments... but I might just wait until endgame for that.
Best class warfarer you mixed magic archer and mage , you’ve got ricochet/avalanche magic to boost your speed and the staff that can put silence on ennemi don’t even need pawns
You're definitely wrong about the "Everything Fighter can do, Warrior can do better." On the Pawn side of things, a Fighter Pawn is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more stamina-efficient than a Warrior Pawn and is much more reliable as a tank, both in threat and not durability. Warrior Pawns almost never charge skills effectively, whereas Fighter Pawns consistently will perfect block. I refuse to use Warrior Pawns because their just so bad when compared to a Warrior Arisen. Fighter Arisen is definitely weaker than Warrior Arisen, but if we're talking about overall usefulness/power/etc, then the insane effectiveness that is a Fighter Pawn should be pointed out. It's very similar to how Mage Pawns are incredibly useful, but a Mage Arisen is very... ugh lol
Yep, I did my first playthrough as a sorcerer and it was awesome. Doing my second now as a thief and it's great as well. I think on my next I'll try the warfarer and combine the two.
I’m playing Warfarer as Mystic Spearhand and Magic Archer, it’s really cool, but does massively limit your skills. The fashion is S tier though, since all armor is usable
@@MellowRastaIt's functionally a parry for super moves. Seems to be coded to do way more stagger damage when an enemy is charging a powerful attack. Like I had it fail to stagger a drake when the drake wasn't doing anything... But when I used it while it was charging meteoron, boom, it was suddenly on its side. Funniest is casting delusion when the drake's preparing magic in midair, because that just makes it crash instantly for a free DPS phase.
Like 60% of the time bosses die the moment they are knocked down when playing trickster. If you get multiple dps pawns and use aromatic resurgance at the right time your pawns end up doing more damage than the actual arisen most of the time. And thats not even taking into account that your pawns cannot die while buffed with aromatic resurgance and wont anyways because the simulacrum takes all the agro.
I have tried all vocations except for Warfarer and Magick Archer. I loved Thief and Sorcerer and liked Mystic Spearhand. I hated archer with all my heart. I’m going to try Warfarer next.
I like running Warfarer mixing mystic spearhand's shield with magic archer's avalanche and frost bolt. Send the frost, shield up, and go to town. I avoid the flare bc it's op
some people are having quite a bit of misconception about magic and golems Magick Archer can still damage golems with their normal basic’s albeit itll have small damage Saggitarius Avalanche also deals decent damage against golems and theres arctic bolt then you have martyrs belt as for sorcerers they have four physical damage spells frigor, seism, maelstrom, and meteoron and mages have frigor too
Trickster, mage, sorcerer, sorcerer. I've maxed my gear I bought from the dragon forge, all dwarven upgraded, dragon forged all the works. The simulacrum could use a little more HP. It gets clobbered by bigger monsters way too quickly sometimes. Other than that, maxed gear lvl 77 trickster buffing 2 sorcs casting meteor. Is a very scary thing. I've watched drakes evaporate. But it's slow sometimes, since sorcs love to cast cancel alot. And they don't use the spells you'd like them too when you want them too. With the amount of set up required it would be cool if the payoff was a bit bigger. Also upgrading vocation and skill didn't stick through new game + which sucked
I’ve been having a lot of fun using Wayfarer as a Warrior/Mystic Archer hybrid. Nuke packs of little guys with the magic bow. Trash but stuff with a big spiky hammer
It kind of sucks because none of the enemies scale with you. You fight an ogre, then a Griffon and Dragon show up mid-fight (at the same time) and I'm like "YAY, MORE MATERIALS!". No sense of danger at all. xD
Just wait till the content updates. This will become a non issue. Capcom has a survey out for what people want added to the game so please input your thoughts. It can only help.
agree with most of these except for magic archer. Just like thief and spearhand if you are having stamina issues, thats what celestial peane exists for, as you mentioned with thief. I think the sagitate avalanche skill is also incredibly powerful for single target and does huge chunks of damage, (assuming u target weakpoints, which it automatically does if u hover over them) With the right augments, quite devastating. when it comes to survivability its pretty mid i think, maybe even bad if you allow enemies to f** with u. but i think that exists for all classes. like a thief running skull splitter without ensnare has a harder time dealing with flying enemies. magic archer shines in way too many areas. Sedative/soporific shot for sleep, ricochet for caves, frost for aoe freeze, which also lasts over time. flamefang for long range dismantling. and i think everyone assumes u should only use the master ability when fighting large mobs, but i just disagree. If you are getting overwhelmed even a quick fire of the maister ability will CLEAR all mobs from your screen. thats you losing 50 hp, versus >200 temporary hp. I will agree, that it has the worse augment unlocked. Very C tier. I pretty much run Archer augments for more dps, and sorceror/mage? augment for stamina recovery. for a more meme build, fill your party with fighter or warrior with roar/drum, and use fortalice, it can be pretty funny. p.s i like all the classes except trickster and mage. I have no idea how to use trick effectively (other than spamming damage up at the start of fights), and mage is indeed for a pawn to play, or keep a staff just incase i need to levitate for a chest/seeker token, or if i know i am fighting a dragon i will save one slot on warfarer for the silence.
Noone can convince me that a vocation that has aimbot on its ranged attacks and a 1 shot kill move for any boss you don't feel like dealing with isn't the most OP vocation
I honestly would put spear hand down at B tear only because I find some of its mechanics to not feel as smooth as I'd like and that they replaced Mystic Knight with it
Dps falls off in importance late end game for sure. Every class except trickster of course can kill anything in a swift time. Also mage and Sorc with incant rings are really not that bad. Wearing a magic ring is lowkey overkill because like mentioned earlier damage falls of because of no monster scaling Great vid
Technically Trickster can absolutely kill things just as fast as anyone else. All you need is to hire the correct pawns (read: Straightforward sorc/archer/thief with their best damage skills, take your pick) and everything dies. Hired a straightforward sorc with high hagol, augural flare, maelstrom, and meteoron, and she literally starts every single fight with maelstrom/meteoron and effectively imposes a hard limit of ten seconds on every small monster encounter (read: when the meteors drop, fight over, lmao). Trickster has a funny combo where you stand in the dead center of a maelstrom and cast the aggro draw, so everything in range leaps into the tornado and dies instantly.
@@FelisImpurrator of course literally have pawns with the strength and magic augment for party activate the ability that gives them damage buff and let them go crazy. But I’m speaking on you attacking atm just didn’t want to say all that trickster stuff lol

@@shinobgaming528 In early game, sure. But something like Polarity is 5% of base stats before gear, and you normally only get Spearhand in mid/late story without knowing about the Melve ballista trick, so it's obsolete by then. There is a mod called True Warfarer and my god its perfect, it basically allows you to have 3 skills for each weapon, and you can even use all the maister skills, it really makes the warfarer worth it
@@mmmmmmmmdaaaamnnnnbabyyyy it doesnt make it easier it makes it worth it, the game is already easy regardless, it just makes the concept of a master vocation more appealing, now instead of only being restricted to 3 skill slots for 2 or more weapons each weapon has its own 3 skills, makes more sense to make your own hybrid, that was kind of the intent with this class anywah
@@mmmmmmmmdaaaamnnnnbabyyyy im just looking at it from a DD1 perspective, im using the mod to recreate how it was in dd1, you had 3 skills for the daggers and 3 for the magick bow, and considering the vocations in this game are lack luster to say the least, i love actually being able to play the class i loved from dd1
I think archer is A tier, they have augament that increase damage when enemy dont do battle stance and weakness, you can 1 hit kill small enemy from a far like sniper
i just have one problem how is mystic spear hand an s tire while magic archer which have an ult that can one shot a boss or a skill that can stagger a boss REALLY fast and get one bar per hit
My only disagreement is that Warfarer is a class above everything else. If you main Mystic Spearhand, you don't even need to use any of its skills because Redboubted Bolt is so fucking good, meaning you can use three skills from three other vocations, four if you enjoy menus. Which is insane.
Anyone try using consumables (like the tomes) while playing trickster? Some of archer's most powerful skills rely on consumables so maybe that makes it a bit more bearable.
it makes me sad how much people underestimate trickster, i love the contrast between it and warfarer, trickster is the big brain vocation while warfarer is the one that shows off one's true mastery of all the vocations and their strengths
Make all enemies focus on a clone 10 feet in the air while your pawns are free to beat them to a pulp. Make enemies walk off cliffs or into the Brine Turn a pack of enemies against a boss, or turn two bosses against each other Whack an enemy with the sphinx censer and get 50,000 gold
It's interesting how folks will complain about pawn AI not being great, yet at the same time everyone runs a mage and relies on them wholeheartedly with no complaints 😂 I think the AI in DD2 is probably the best in any open world RPG with companions, so good that it maybe falls into uncanny valley territory and people compare pawn behavior to human behavior (against which it obviously comes up short)
Thank you so much for pumping out DD2 content, on my NG+ playthrough and still having a blast… perfect game to play until ER DLC
Perfect game to play will be the early access of no rest for the wicked. This game was fun but had a ton of serious flaws.
Let me fix that, flaws for you* everyone doesn’t consume things the same way. I love it as a relaxing exploration game. I don’t necessarily want another Elden Ring before Elden Ring DLC. It was a nice change for me after hundreds of hours of Elden Ring
Hopefully the leaks about a huge Dark Arisen-style DLC are true and after Elden Ring DLC we'll have another huge chunk of content to explore!
Elden Ring is overall a better game right?
You also possess a damage buff for the pawns and a decent CC ability so you can resummon the target dummy, However the best vocations can kill the strongest enemies in seconds and having you do damage with a pawn tanking is way more reliable than waiting for pawns to do damage.
yep pawn damage is slow and steady, player damage can just burst nuke
True, blight and explosion arrows are op af
@@highwan9513 my go to spammed skill is deathly arrow that became straight up amazing once i got the timing down for perfect charge up, then the aimed master skill and to a lesser extent exploding arrows, if i really want to give status with my current enchant (usually pawn granted thunder) i end up using the spiral shot
For some reason people don't understand that archer class rewards accuracy not just spamming square
The only problem is that Magic Archer can do more damage and have homing shots.

At the top. Dealing No Dmg.
- It's hard to imagine a class being at the top because Other Classes do ALL of the dmg.
- Wouldn't be my choice
Thief is best for money. It's not even close. The stuff they plunder will sell for way more than trickster will earn hitting enemies.
@@Nauzhror1216 But you can take a pawn thief with plunder and get both.
Agreed. But for me, magick archer is S tier, kill every mobs and bosses faster than soc and spearhand.
Plus no flying enemies issues. (where thief or even spear dude can have)
Or you can be warfarer (combine magic archer and sorcerer = damage + sphere + levitation).
p.s. - I'm still thinking what would be the best class (or combo) for end game (to give myself easy farm time before ng+)

Same here. I never killed bosses so quickly with other classes. magik archer with Sagittarius avalanche on a weak spot is just that good
There is no f way that the magic archer isnt S TIER.
So the best class is using formless feint and blades of the pyre with the thief
something i think is underrated about Sorc is Seism as it does physical damage so they dont get shut down by magic resistant enemies

Pretty sure hagol does as well.

thief has a few abilities that make it s tier in my book...

Fighter is S teir! If you play it as an offensive class it’s outrageous 😈💪
Plus gutting skewer may be the coolest / most brutal attack in the game
What's your setup for offensive Fighter? I usually just have burst strike into riotous fury to ensure it doesn't miss, with shield pummel and flawless guard because I figured the shield would do more stagger. Still sucks at knockdowns though. Should I be running hindsight or vengeful over flawless, and is gutting skewer good against big enemies? Small enemies are basically irrelevant to me at this point.

@@FelisImpurrator The fighter meister skill can just outright kill a drake if you hit weak point which is super super strong comparing to others because it does not even drain all stamina. It also has perfect parry and the skill to help clinging on enemies weakpoint
Usually I go with Vengeful Slash, Righteous Fury, Burst Strike and Shield Pummel or Gutting Skewer
I use Shield Pummel more because it offer huge stagger and aoe so they get down weaker for me to use righteous.
Parry (Vegenful Slash) is probably the most important skill because it parry everything and you are guarantee for it every single time. It is probably what allow you to go through everything and dealing damage while not taking anything back
May be it is not optimal but I use the aggro ring and aggro argument so everything focus on me. It is on purpose so I can parry more and can actually deal with harpies since they will come for attack and I just hold the parry waiting for them to commit suicide.
I agree with your placements, except switch Mystic Soeaehand and Magik Archer.
I just can't stop playing thief
Thief is the best dps class I agree with you, just one shot everything since level 1 and at level 30 I can kill griffins and drake in 1min
Late game trickster is the most fun cuz it’s the only one that makes you need your brain at all, all other classes just one shot
Personally I think Trickster is A tier
Or at least so fun for me. I love controlling the battlefield and leading the enemies on while buffing my pawns. I use the spell books to augment the vocation and work around the no damage limitation.
Good idea to use the spellbooks. I never used one at all during my first play through.

"On this vocation youre targeted and youre vulnerable"
This is exactly why a well spec'd pawn is important.
Give trickster some damage abilities and this would be a fun class.
that would lose the point of the class. It's like asking for warrior to cast spells
Warrior, magic archer, sorcerer, thief, an warfarer all deserve S Teir. They can all kill a full health drake in less than 30 seconds if played right
In NG+ Magick Archer easily goes to S. You are able to half the stamina cost of Satalagtite Avalanche. which just OBLITERATES.
I do this with Warfarer. I also use Daggers for core skills and Skullsplitter and Duospear for core skills and Mirror Shielde. Genuinely unstoppable.
Do this with warfarer and drop it onto a sorcerer explodey orb thing. Will kill anything with the explosion

Arguments:
1) Homing arrows at enemy vulnerable spots.
Archer doesn't have a slow early game
Just use precision shots and have good aim its literally that easy
Absolutely cooks everything you come across
Same killed a dragon around lvl 18 just kiting and hitting weak points all my pawns kept dying and I was like fine I will do it myself
Rewarding af
Explosive arrows make everything a joke
Nice tier list, Mine is totally different haha, my least favorite class is mystic sprarhand lol
Why don’t you share your list? I’m curious.
Mage is amazing if u play it urself. Constantly buffing ur pawns. They kill drakes quiker than i do myself vuz a mage pawn does not keep buffs up 100%

Great video, honestly I think people are slandering trickster, with 1 mage and two sorcerer pawns the trickster is insane.
You create so much room and draw so much attention, your casters can just spam huge spells with impunity and turn any fight into an automated nuke factory.
Fighter is underrated you can play a dps oriented fighter
What could possibly make the trickster lovable, is the ability to transform into different enemy variants.
Or give it the ability to reflect damage it and its decoy takes
For Thief you can have pretty good Augments.

Finally a fighter person lol
Lol
Magik Archer is easy S tier because it’s it’s got an answer for every thing and it’s pretty darn good about it too

I roll warfarer because I just like swapping to whatever whenever, not to mention how freeing it is when putting on armor
Mystic for me. Just so fun to play, regular archer was how i began, and Mystic spearhand made me realise how boring it was playing as an archer.
Hmmm with how you made Warfare sound I may be now interested in a Warrior, Sorcerer, Mystic Spearhand all wrapped up in a Warfare
This class is just so broken that I almost don't like to use it because it just makes the game way too easy. I expect it will be nerfed soon.
why is no one ever talking about the lifetaking arrow on the magick archer. That thing is probably the largest AOE move in the game with almost 0 cast time, high enough damage and almost no aiming required to kill everything in its path

You're definitely wrong about the "Everything Fighter can do, Warrior can do better."
On the Pawn side of things, a Fighter Pawn is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more stamina-efficient than a Warrior Pawn and is much more reliable as a tank, both in threat and not durability. It's very similar to how Mage Pawns are incredibly useful, but a Mage Arisen is very... ugh lol
The main reason to use a Warrior is for Knockdown, and fighters aren't good at that. Mountain Breaker can topple anything.
For warfarer all you need is magic archer + sorc. It's so much easier to hit the weak spot with mack archer use ratchet shot.

If you get multiple dps pawns and use aromatic resurgance at the right time your pawns end up doing more damage than the actual arisen most of the time. And thats not even taking into account that your pawns cannot die while buffed with aromatic resurgance and wont anyways because the simulacrum takes all the agro.
yup dragon roar, buff, thing is dead af
Thief using Skull Splitter on Augural flare is worse than using Magick Archer you can just rivet shot non-stop till it pops
Ohhh thief realy deserve S rank because with this vocation I killed many of bosses.
trickster is just cool and that's it
Sorcerer higher than magic archer is crazy
My rankings
1.warfarer
2. Thief
3.mystic spearhand
4. Warrior.
I haven't used any other classes
I’ve been having a lot of fun using Wayfarer as a Warrior/Mystic Archer hybrid. Nuke packs of little guys with the magic bow. Trash but stuff with a big spiky hammer
This is all well and good but once you get past lvl 70ish all vocations become s tier
You get that way lower than 70, I say around level 40-50 is when you peak in terms of stats and gear.
agree with most of these except for magic archer.
Warfare is S+, only because you can play as a thief and use whatever armor you want.
I honestly would put spear hand down at B tear only because I find some of its mechanics to not feel as smooth as I'd like and that they replaced Mystic Knight with it
I like running the healing arrow from MA instead of the spear shield. Applying it so often gets annoying.
The infinite stamina bubble with Mystic Spearhand Meister skill is broken😂
No need. That's better for Arc of Might or Heavenly Shot. Mystic Spearhand already has Ravinour's Hond, which prints infinite stamina for you anyway.
Dps falls off in importance late end game for sure. Every class except trickster of course can kill anything in a swift time.
Also mage and Sorc with incant rings are really not that bad. Wearing a magic ring is lowkey overkill because like mentioned earlier damage falls of because of no monster scaling
Great vid
@@shinobgaming528 Actually all the +str and +mag buffs are worthless due to being flat, or in the case of polarity, before equipment.
Of course trickster does no damage without pawns, because its weapons are pawns...
@@FelisImpurrator what how is plus 30 strength or magic worthless in early game? And yo if you want to run around while your pawns kill everything go right ahead. Outside of maxing out the vocation trickster is a cool concept but I personally wouldn’t play it more. The main point is after a certain level no monster can keep up with the party🤷🏽♂️ every class can do the job
@@shinobgaming528 In early game, sure. But something like Polarity is 5% of base stats before gear, and you normally only get Spearhand in mid/late story without knowing about the Melve ballista trick, so it's obsolete by then. Sorc magic one is also pretty late. Thief's is at least okay for early game, I guess.
I'm just saying though. Trickster may not be your thing and that's fine, but it is pretty strong.
I wish we had Mystic Knight instead of Trickster
There is a mod called True Warfarer and my god its perfect, it basically allows you to have 3 skills for each weapon, and you can even use all the maister skills, it really makes the warfarer worth it
Warfarer already trivializes the game, why would you go out of your way to make it easier?
@@mmmmmmmmdaaaamnnnnbabyyyy it doesnt make it easier it makes it worth it, the game is already easy regardless, it just makes the concept of a master vocation more appealing, now instead of only being restricted to 3 skill slots for 2 or more weapons each weapon has its own 3 skills, makes more sense to make your own hybrid, that was kind of the intent with this class anywah
@@DeathlyOath I personally disagree but if you've been having fun with that then more power too you 💪
@@mmmmmmmmdaaaamnnnnbabyyyy im just looking at it from a DD1 perspective, im using the mod to recreate how it was in dd1, you had 3 skills for the daggers and 3 for the magick bow, and considering the vocations in this game are lack luster to say the least, i love actually being able to play the class i loved from dd1
Thief is just outright busted. mystic spearhand is the the funnest imo.
I like sorcerer, magic srcher and speerhand for werfarer and sometime I add a warrior weapon to knock enemies over
Anyone try using consumables (like the tomes) while playing trickster? Some of archer's most powerful skills rely on consumables so maybe that makes it a bit more bearable.
it makes me sad how much people underestimate trickster, i love the contrast between it and warfarer, trickster is the big brain vocation while warfarer is the one that shows off one's true mastery of all the vocations and their strengths
Warfarer is S tier purely for fashion alone!
Also, someone please convince me to try out trickster. Everything I've seen of it is really lackluster...
Make all enemies focus on a clone 10 feet in the air while your pawns are free to beat them to a pulp.
Make enemies walk off cliffs or into the Brine
Turn a pack of enemies against a boss, or turn two bosses against each other
Whack an enemy with the sphinx censer and get 50,000 gold
Lvl it for the augments
I feel like I did dragon boss fights on easy mode with magick archer master skill, I just stocked up on wakestones and destroyed the dragons
Don't forget. You can equip any type of armor regardless of class as warfairer
I'm basically a trickster in fighter clothes cauz I'm scared
How does he fly with the Mystic Spearhand?
I go warfarer just to wear armor to not be stunned while also dps whatever I feel like
The trickster mistake is can't be settled as a pawn vocation.
Magic archer is the only class that can one shot truly one shot dragons…
Wow, I actually agree with all of this list, well done.
