You can get the mystic spearhands, wild furie early, by killing the dragon at Melve. Use the ballista on the tower. It takes three shots to kill it.

4:55 Blades of the Pyre is insane. It's the craziest thing in the game and it's not even close. You can spam it during Formless Feint without taking any damage. It destroys everything in the game and doesn't even take that much stamina. You basically become an invincible walking bomb that explodes everything around and can't take damage from anything at all. It's game-breaking.

I shoudlve duplicated the wine. The guy wants more of it after I gave him the original
important note: If you have missed to get these skills at the time you were supposed to talk to the npc there is an easy fix. go to history then find that npc and see what they like ex. Fancy items etc. then go to that npc talk to him and press give gift and gift them them a thing which comes into that category then doze off for one day come again and repeat after like 4 times the npc will approach you and give you the teaching !

I got the courtesy attire for free for helping Sven when i first got to Vernworth.
Edit: to be specific I directed the guard away and then bought him the box he was trying to buy. There was then a quest to speak with him at the fountain for a few days and he gifts you stuff every day, the attire being one of the gifts.
Thank you it helps me out so much more than some other videos cause some mechanics were not talked about in their videos.

One more tip... if you have not fought the dragon for the warrior, the following can be done:
Travel to Melve -> sleep -> give the man flowers -> sleep -> give the man flowers -> then he will also give you the master skill
Courtly attire is all over the rich area of first city. Not just the capital.... i found 4 sets but the onlh sell for 1200. Even though they cost 155000
Absolute ripoff, AND it costs a fortune to enhance.
@Archibaldh1pp0 there are like 5 or 6 sets in the world. Don't enhance or buy them dude. Seriously. They are required for main quests. But all you have to do is look around the city and you will find them.

There's a set for helping the rich kid and ornate box
Blades of the pyre is actually a good ability if you us it along side of formless feint. You don't take the dmg and you do a tone of aoe explosive dmg
It is super op with feint the explosive also Staggerand knock down most enemy super fast
They don’t understand thief is op, I used that shit together and you destroy boss health

@isaacdayton4962 Way way better at personal survivability than Mystic Spearhand. Spearhand does have the nice perks of both protecting your pawns and not interrupting you when attacked, but if you just want your own hp to not go down Formless Feint is the best way to do so period.
So I noticed a lot of people wore having trouble getting lennart to give you the skill i failed to kill dragon first try in malve, idk if that triggers it and I did all of his daughters quest and reunited them in harve village and still wasn’t giving me anything I even gave him a bunch of stuff to raise my affinity with him( flowers,eternal bond ring, jasper) and still nothing so I decided to camp just outside the village and waited till nightfall to see if that might be the case and went back to him and finally he came up to me asking to escort him to some place. Just do it and he’ll reward you some stuff, but you gotta go back to the village and than he’ll finally give you the skill

Feel like they have to have enough affinity with you as well. If they don't get maxed out from the quest you have to do an escort mission for them. I am having this issue with Eini (mage) and Beren (warrior). I just got the escort mission for Beren but accidently denied it. Going to see if giving him gifts and resting will work as well.
@@charlymrivera7236 so it turns out they’ll keep asking if you wait a couple days just rest outside the village a day or two and they’ll ask you again, just tried it with the guy that gives you the mystic spear skill sometimes they show up at your home

For the courtly out, there are multiple sets. 2 sets are in vernworth, one set in castle guestrooms as u pointed, another in a building near the castle. And another set by doing svens quest when he is disguised a beggar BEFORE meeting him in castle
Also even more single pieces of it in the house in the Noble Quarter outside the castle

@@tavencreager2037 not necesseraly. You can skip the apperance of the dragon fairly easily if you go too soon to harve and do the quests. I got the class when I first met sigurd, all the way south west of the map where lies the inferior dragon

If you use the ballista and kill the drake, he’ll give you the MS scroll right there. Pretty sure the drake’s death is the trigger, not quest/liking you. Either that, or killing it just maxes the affinity.
I did so and didn't get the teaching. Just the class. What now?
@@boeserKadserdont know. I am in the same situation and im kinda fcked. Sigurd is now in his house in Melve and dont give quest nor anything. He wasnt at dragonbreath tower either. Think it sorta bugged out and that I need to wait for NG+

You can actually get the arc of might from beren earlier if you meet him early morning before he leaves for his journey
For the sorcerer quest (Myrddin) people not getting the spell after giving him real or fakes, I think your affection to him is important (must be high enough) for him to give you the spell. The video didn't mention it but yeah, fakes or not wouldn't matter u just need high enough affinity. Give him gifts and do an escort quest for him and then he will give the spell :)
Edit: Another tip - he likes spellbooks so giving him that will accelerate the process!

@@leoredmond5439Yes you’re basically screwed,you can’t get all of the books again. Only two of the five have a second copy.

@@deeross2170 You can get the “Nation’s Death Knell” from either the Waterfall cave east of the borderwatch outpost or the Ancient battlegrounds Northeast of the Checkpoint rest town. Howling Blizzard can also be found in waterfall cave,alternatively you can get it from Wendy in the nameless village( I’d avoid getting it this way because you will be forced to abandon the quest because the collection will be incomplete)
You do not require rearmament to play the warfarer. You can swap your weapons in menu even in combat with the class. It streamlines it if that's the way you'd like to play it but it's not a requirement.
The game is dope so many variations to play and huge map it never gets boring. I always plan a quest and discover completely different adventures seriously it’s so random and exciting!
You can get 1 more book(another nation's death Kneel) at the forgotten battlegrounds so in total you can get 6 books which should be enought for both people
There is also a secret merchant in balt that can sell 3 at a time in tiggs tavern i think its called its north of the of the ox cart next to where the house you can buy is at you can buy 3 newt liquor you have to out the sack of grain into the pin and they will take you inside
You also have to be wearing a beastren mask, or be a beastren when you put the sack in the pin
Use formless feint before using blades of prey and you avoid the damage blow back it does massive damage !!!!

The courtly atttire can also be found in various ornate chests within the noble quarters of Vernworth.
SOOOOO, if you aren't aware, there is a Ballistae in Melve, climb the tower during the dragon attack turn the Ballistae toward the dragon and shoot it, then aim upward while cranking up the next shot. Who the dragon as it gets ready to fly and you have slain your first dragon. You get the Maister skill for Mystic Spear hand for killing the dragon, the Maister skill for Fighter, and from the dragon's body you get Dead Ringer a late game weapon for the Spearhand. Now go Arisen and spin blades all over the back sides and faces of your foes.
I talked to Lennart after the dragon fight but, all he kept on saying was he will rebuild the town
If you go to Bahtaal before finding Melve, the quest chain breaks. Seems stupid in my opinion because Melve is in the same location.

@@alexcompositionflatwhat you're saying isn't making sense, i fought the dragon and then talked to him and he didn't give the scroll, and she doesn't skip town until after the dragon fight.
For so Sigurd not giving the hidden skill, go find him in his house at harve village, talk to him, there's a button say "Give gift" at the bottom right corner. Give him something and he will give you the wild furie.
You can buy all 3 newt liquor from a hidden vendor near Higgs Tavern, the door is kinda hidden when you walk up a small stair case. He sells them for 5k a piece.
I was able to uss the master technique scroll without unlocking the vocation myself. My main pawn was a fighter and i was a mage at the time. I used thescroll andit gave us both the techinique. Cant use the scroll on the pawn only yourself.

Killed the drake and never infested in fighter only unlocked it, was thief rank 5 or 6 and got mystic spearhand plus the master scroll at the same time.
Fighter master skill was the same, never infested in it but i suddenly got it from Lennart, i was like bro, what the hell?! moments later when i got the master skill for spearhand as well.
Edit: you also get the courly attire from sven when doing his quest with the ornate box.
For the archer quest I can confirm you can also complete this as a mystic archer. I didn't have archer even unlocked and I was currently in mystic archer vocation. Did everything and got the heavenly shot ability.
I got a friend who mains thief. Both skills you get from both thief masters are useful when paired together. One has you smack your daggers together causing a big spark (explosion) dealing damage to both enemies AND you while the 2nd skill has you dodge ALL damage. I don't like it but when paired together, he's just running around *boom* *boom* *boom* ticking health down.
I didn't do the sigurd quest to get the master skill.
Just gave him some gifts for him and get to lvl 9 on spearhand, talked to him and he gave me the skill.
Love how the one skill I actually was looking forward to is unlockable bc I killed the quest guy and I can’t find his grave
Visit the morgue in the city they're nearby at and revive them with stone
For the fighter one if you had gotten discontinued on the quest to tell him about ulrika you can still get it from him just give him 10-25 cinnamon bark or any other type im guessing because dude loves it for some reason. And than rest or sleep for a day
You can get courtly attire via the ornate box quest also
Has you unlocked mystic spearhand if you kill the dragon with the ballista on top of the tower you can get the master skill as same time and a op spear
Wouldnt recommend. It doesnt work well. Got the spear, not the spell and never get an occasion after that. It seems wonky at best
I did the stuff for Mystic Spearhand, I didn't talk to him directly after but didn't get the item for Wild Furie, went to his home sometime afterwards but nothing.
for the mystic spearhand all i did was kill the dragon with the ballista and he gave me the skils with unlocking the vocation.
I gave Ulrika the pendent gift and Lennert gave me his scroll immediately after. So you can unlock it the first time you go to Melve.
If you learn Meteor before finishing the quest for Maelstrom, the npc will notice you know another master sorcerer spell, get pissed, and refuse teaching you Maelstrom.

After watching this video I realised I sold 4 of the grimoire’s but when I went into his room they were all on his table just incase anyone is in the same position hopefully there all there for you too
so, while exploring yesterday (had a heart attack when I stumbled into a drake) I came across a village where one of the npcs wants the Fulminous Shield tome in exchange for I think a blizzard tome? does that lead anywhere? a trap that will make you fail both quests?
i accidently used the tome towering earth before i knew you needed it for the maister skills. is there a way i can get it back or find another one?
The wine can be duplicated using the forgery and it counts as another one of it so all you need is one wine and money/time
Question about the magisters book towering earth if you accidentally progress too far and don’t get to do the quest can you still get it ?
Regarding the tomes, are there are places to get them? i had gave him all the tomes, but i do have an extra Death knoll one but I need 2 other tomes, does that require that I do NG+?
some of these are so complicated to trigger. i have half of them and it was obvious who to speak to to get the magic ones, but never started XD
Excuse the dumb question but would I have to be a Mage in order to learn Celestial Paean for my pawn? I'm currently a Mystic Spearhand and when I did the quest grandma did not drop the spell
What's funny is thief has 2 meister skills but one of them is a trap its basically a worse version of a skill you get earlier in the game, the other on other hand might be the most busted skill in the game to setup a dodge tank build because literally nothing but ground pollution can hurt you.
Man its a shame the Sorcerer doesnt have that Ice spell from Dark Arisen where it summons giant ice spears, I used to destroy everything with that spell
BTW if your excorting him mid excort after a few killks talk to him he will be lile you poved ur self and give you it np
Another way to get the newt Liquor is to combine the wine that Sven gives you with a sarian tail
Lennart did not teach me anything. I repelled the dragon the second time i went back to melve same as the video. At the point I am at I am in the mid 20s in level and my fighter vocation is maxed, ive done everything involving melve, ulrika, harve, and the melve folk going to harve and he STILL wont teach me it. I've given him tons of items and he says the same 2 voice lines over and over again and walks away and completely ignores me. No idea what im doing wrong. *update* he randomly decided now was the time to proc the quest from giving him gifts so im sure ill get the move soon.
The old hag eini doesnt give me celestial paean and did the quest, so whats up? rested a few times now.
I had the same problem. Go into the home and gift the male npc eino bunch of flowers then go rest and go back and repeat. He gave me a tome and then the old lady approached me and gave me the skill

You got the mastery skill of the thieft? Is broken, I kill my first big dragon with the skill, never get hit and if you craft alot of stamina stuff when you run off stamina just eat it and u have infinity stamina with the mastery skill
there are 3 sets of fancy clothes in the castle that i have found, there may be more
Formless feint is basically Ultra Instinct and is indeed the best.
Someone pls help. I can’t get the fighter master skill or the archers skill even though I finished all quest with the npcs. I can’t even give them items to boost affection to get the skills
I have advanced in the story and I did not return to Melve after doing one of the main missions, is there any possibility of getting the master skill of the fighter class or have I lost it forever?
You can, i missed the dragon fight as well. just find lennart either in melve or harve and gift him something like a roborant or wyrmslife crystal and rest. repeat till he gives you the skill. took me like 3 gifts and an extra rest
For the mage one she isn't giving me it but they gave me the sorcerer one and then 2 escort quests but they still wont give me the mage one the only one i need
Anyone else having trouble getting Beren to give you Arc of Might (Warrior's Ultimate Skill)??? I lost the spar because I didn't realize the ring was THAT small and I backed up a tiny bit as an Archer, lost immediately. I've literally escorted him to the spot in Bettahl he asks you to take him to and still nothing. He's not even at his cabin anymore.
What happen if I miss the dragon on melve? I progress to the other region, how I can found the spear guy?
You can make Newt Liquer with Fruit wine and a Saurian Tail.

Dude, I wish the Arisen had a Necromancer/Death Knight Vocations. Able to summon a skeleton/zombie to fight for a bit and gain unholy/dark buffs, etc.

The mystic spearhand quest may have glitched for me.. he never gave me the skill.
For the Archers Secret teachings i didnt need to do the whole quest line. I went to “Sacred Arbor” Gifted Taliesin 1 Wyrmlife Crystal sat down on the bench for 5 rests and was about to give him another Wyrmlife crystal when he gave me the archers skill
(This can be done early in the game before you ever have to save his daughter from the Giant)
this game don't stop amazing me I just give a bunch of flawer to Ulrika in front of Lennart after I give him the latter from the quest Oxcart courier he approach to me and give me the skill (Riotous Fury) I guess has to do with both happiness for example his quest done correctly throwing the exlosive casks and thenpoison in to the nest(NESTING TROUBLES)
I wonder how long until people realize you can just dodge the flames of the pyre explosion. You don’t even need the master skill. Just hit the dodge button as it explodes and you avoid it.
I did everything in the guide. I even maxed my affinity with the grandma and passed time a couple days but she still hasnt given me the mage skill
If you accidentally sell your skills you can get them back from Ibrahim at the rest checkpoint town

Her grandma gives the mage spell. Little girl gives a sorc and her dad the other sorc spell

For the Mystic Spearhand skill, i went and killed the dragon but I lost Sigurd while exploring the ruins. So I had to fight the dragon without him and I can't find him anymore to get the skill...

I have a similar problem. I didn’t so much “lose” him, as he got thrown into oblivion during the fight 😅 I didn’t think about checking if he’d show up in a morgue and it’s been MANY in-game days and I can’t find him. Do I just have to wait for ng+?
@bixelator1561 In my case he was back at Havre village. I don't know if he is considered as "essential" and thus stays alive
I killed the dragon at its home place where sigurds waiting at. Does this mess up the quest for the dragon to appear at melve?
For anyone stuck on a tough enemy, just use magic archer’s Martyr bolt till you’re about 1-5% (as close as you can get it) hp
Don’t go overboard because the skill can and will kill you if you hold it too long
But the martyr shot will literally one shot anything in the game
Haven’t met anything that has lived it fully charged yet
None of the stuff said about the warrior part happened to me, yes I found him, yes i fought him(and lost because he knocked me out of the ring), followed him has the quest said to do and then Nothing
I think I am bugged, I did everything you said. After the dragon went away I did NOT get spearhand unlocked, and I done all quests I have and still not unlocked :(

Anyone have issues with the fighter meister skill? I’ve tried to get it on my level 50 Arisen and for some reason I don’t have the dialogue. I’ve done all Captain Brant’s quests, and whenever I go back I don’t have any dialogue with him. Any tips or help?
For the Archer Maister i need to give some gifts to a hot elf around, other stuff that i think matters is the girl we saved was asleep then after a while she awake, the old dude got happy and talked to me, he said something about me wanting to sit on the throne and then gave me the skill.
I got a problem with the Beren. He only gave me a bunch of flowers and not the scroll for the skill.
Update for this, i got the scroll. You just need to check up on him from time to time
how do i get the mystic spearhand master skill if sigurd died in dragons breath fight? i already revived him, but when i go to his house he doesnt give me anything
I have no idea what happened during Beren's quest chain, but he was eventually deposed and executed by guillotine. I couldn't get his master skill. I went to look for him in the cemetery and I couldn't find him 😔
