- How to use the Windows 10 Debloater script and also remove all pre-loaded Windows 10 apps. I also show how to add Windows Store and Calculator back.
GitHub:
github.com/Syc...
Debloat:
1. Run Powershell as Administrator.
2. Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
3. Type "cd " and right-click to paste in directory to Debloater scripts.
4. Run ".\Windows10DebloaterGUI.ps1" or one of the other scripts.
5. Remove bloatware and disable telemetry then close Debloater.
Remove All Apps and return Windows Store:
1. Get-AppxPackage | Remove-AppxPackage
2. Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
3. You can now use Microsoft Store to reinstall Calculator and any other apps that were removed. Make sure to download official Microsoft apps.
Hey everyone! Check out my new updated video on debloating Windows WITHOUT a debloating script.
ruclips.net/video/Se1yxs3raes/видео.html
U have helped me restore a laptop that's 10 years old and was failing to boot now I got it running so smoothly and it can play minecraft at stable 60 fps
This is great to hear!
I greatly appreciate you for the step by step video 🙏
I’m a digital artist. The project files I work with are usually massive, and the programs I use require a lot of space & processing power. Working with a limited budget, I have to maintain a balance between program performance and storage space.
Finally, something simple I can run after installing a vm without needing to do a bunch of things, love you homie
Let’s go ! Thank you very much for a well done Debloater Guide .Couldn’t of done with out ya 👍🏼 Keep up the good work
i really appreciate the depth you bring to your discussions.
The value of this registry key indicates the necessary time interval (in minutes)
between two restore point creation. The default value is 1440 minutes (24 hours)
Thank you so much! Also, nice having Nujabes as the background song.
This was awesome, thank you for making this as easy as possible, keep up the good work!
Thank you Sir 🙏🏽 you wouldn't believe the pc I'm using this on 😅 it really needed this
thank'ds it worked out for me, had an error - just had to run windows PowerShell as admin that fix it tbh to all :D
You can also drag the file into windows powershell if you started powershell with admin
You earned a subscriber! Thank you for telling us how to debloat Windows 10. but I'm kinda bit curious. iff I remove AppxPackage, does it include the apps that I download in the Microsoft Store especially the Minecraft?
I didn't do the remove appxpackage thing because I might delete the Minecraft and downloading it again takes a lot of time because of poor internet connection.
Yes, you are correct, it also removes apps you installed. I would recommend manually uninstalling the apps you don't want or need.
They sure made it very complex just to see the GUI of a program. And it didn't stop Edge from opening PDFs.
hey! idk i cant do it, it says 'Set-ExecutionPolicy' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Make sure you're using Powershell and not CMD. Set-ExecutionPolicy only works in Powershell.
OH THX A LOT MAN!
it works now@@dogbunns
Thank you very much, I have a much cleaner installation thanks to you.
Thanks for the tutorial
If I use the command for Appx, does it delete user-installed apps as well?
Yes. It removes all apps except Windows Security and the Settings app. It won't remove regular programs, just apps which are installed from the Microsoft Store.
that vertical bars is called a pipe. your piping into something. im learning about to. and the sqigly line is called a telday i think.
This is sick, we need one for windows 11
True!
All of the tricks in this video should also work on windows 11!
Got everything down, all I'm missing is trying to revert my ExecutionPolicy back to Restricted like you suggested, it pops up with the setting is overriden by a policy defined at a more specific scope. Any idea on what to do?
Execute powershell as adm
Quality video, thanks man
Thanks, helped me piece it all together. Nice tutorial.
excellent guide!
What keydid you press to get to that new line at 3:00? I'm new to coding and more interested in the performance benefits.
The Tab key. When applicable, it will autofill a command or filename in for you. If you have multiple files that start with something like "win" you can repeatedly press Tab to toggle through the different options. This works in both Powershell and CMD.
@@dogbunns Thank you for the quick response! Fortunately I found another video that seemed to have a slightly adjusted way of going about it, copy and pasting a key from the bottom of the Windows Debloat GitHub into Powershell, and the result was the same as your method
@@dogbunnsthis didn’t work do i have to restart
Mine is all in RED highlights saying error. Executive policy didnt recognize

@@OrgoneDevices47open as admin
Did you execute the powershell with administrator privileges?
I went to github and the project is like 2 years old currently. Is this still complete/valid for all the bloatware and telemetry or have things changed since this code was written?
The script is old but still works (even with 11). Unless you customize the blocklist, it will remove all apps (except Settings and Windows Security). Disabling telemetry just turns off some telemetry features you can toggle on or off in windows.
@dogbunns Will it delete applications that were not downloaded through the Microsoft Store?
i uninstalled one drive and it fucked my computer help me
What kind of computer do you have and what driver is missing
He means the app called OneDrive
@@ArthurReming Ooh 😅😅😅

Great video, thank you!
It was very helpful. But EDGE, internet explorer and windows media player are still there. Can you show us how to remove them also?
Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player can be disabled in the optional features list. Press Win+R and type "optionalfeatures" and enter. As for Edge, it always seems to come back.
I think we cant remove it maybe Windows may have a root feature like Android that is needed for that who know
@@LgdFanta Microsoft Edge cannot be removed from Windows 11 because there are applications that rely on the Edge web platform
Best video! Tnks
Not a bad video - However the music needs to be very low as I found it very distracting . The reason I say this - is that there people who need to follow your instructions and don't have the typing skills like you do to type the commands in Manually
THANK YOU!!!
Thanks
thanks🙏
Thanks man
will this mess up anything game related you have installed?
Dude im kinda dumb so is worth to ask
When you say that it delets all the apps
Do you mean just he windows stuff or all thing that ive downloaded?
Programs (exes) wont be affected. This only removes 'apps' installed from the Microsoft Store but also 'apps' that are built into windows.
If you're concerned about a specific program you have, if you right click the item in the start menu, exes will let you open the file location, but apps will only let you view app settings.
It says that the file im trying to find doesn't exist
Valeu mano tamo junto ❤
Thank you!❤
At 4:52 when you say it's going to remove all my apps, do you also mean the ones I installed :'D?
Yes it will remove all your apps. (Installed from Microsoft Store)
However, other programs that install to the \Program Files\ directory will not be removed.
If you'd like a list of the apps, open powershell and run the command "Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers".
@@dogbunns Amen
While deleting all bloatware I realised when removing the music app it listed it as Zunemusic. The Zune comes from Microsoft's failed MP3 player
Can you do these steps even if the PC isn’t new or reset & there apps such as fiveM GTA etc . After these steps will all apps be removed those included?
This will only remove Metro apps. It shouldn't remove any games or regular programs (.exe files). GTA and FiveM will be fine. However, in my personal case, the Nvidia Control Panel was uninstalled and I reinstalled it using the Microsoft Store.
Tysm 😊
cool video. q, how can we know for sure the script doesn't add any viruses and what not, can we (the noobs) even know?
Yo dogbuuns i have a question 2:57 how to u make the anthor of that thing in the below cua i can't do it what did u press i am doing rn
The Tab key. It will autofill a command or filename in for you.
For example, you can type set-exe and press Tab, it will autofill to Set-ExecutionPolicy.

just a question but how do you set the set-executionpolicy back to restricted?
Just type the command "Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy Restricted"
@@dogbunns and does that sets it to restricted or only restricted to the steps after that?
@@randomness4989 It will stay restricted. Closing and restarting powershell will retain your currently set ExecutionPolicy.
@@dogbunns ah alright, thank you for the answer
Just want to be safe, does creating restore point can revert all changes that i apllied after do the debloat?
Yes all apps, updates, and drivers will be restored.

Just right click on the file and chose run with powershell.
Unfortunately that won't work because the script requires administratior privileges. That would only work if you were already signed in as Administrator or System which is extremely unlikely.
@@dogbunns I have full control over my pc brother.
@@Vancouver_Island_Guy If all your applications run as administrator, that's very bad practice. That would mean any third party application already has full control of your computer and system files.

HI. I debloated my pc, everything seems working fine except time not updating automatically (date is ok). If I try to sync time manually it shows error. Any solution?
execution policy is not recognized 2:52 game over
Ran this yesterday for a new WD-SN850x SSD install on Lenovo Yoga 15ikb laptop and noticed the fingerprint scanner to login is not working upon sign in and can not be turned on in Windows settings saying - “We couldn’t find a fingerprint scanner comparable with Windows Hello Fingerprint”
And I can’t find it in the Windows Store.
I’m now trying to install drivers from Lenovo now and having issues here as well with some things not installing - including Lenovo Service Bridge
Rebooted the laptop and same issue 😢
Check the Device Manager and see if your fingerprint reader shows up under Biometric Devices. If you don't see it, check Unknown Devices. You can try right-clicking the device and clicking update to use the generic driver and see if windows recognizes it then.
Also, make sure from the Lenovo website that your driver is designed for your version of windows and architecture (x86/x64).
Is there way to fix when i debloat it makes my windows search bar light themed and everything else is dark?
I know the debloater has an option to change from light or dark mode but shouldn't do it automatically, maybe a bug. You can right-click your desktop, click personalize, then colors, and make sure both windows mode and app mode are set to light (or dark). Windows mode changes the theme of the Taskbar, and App mode changes the theme of the search box.
Can i do this on a non clean install for example with files on it will they also be wiped
is this safe? basically, i have a very slow computer and it is shared, will this delete the apps on their account too?
No it only delete apps that come with windows

After this what happene to our installed using apps. Is we want to reinstall it?
I see there's a custom bloatware list option, so can you tell me what programs should I tick in the list so that all basic features like playing videos and using Microsoft store and Xbox works?
Windows Media Player should stay installed since it is baked into Windows itself and not considered an "app". As for Xbox integration, the three services you want to add to your blacklist is “Xbox Game Bar”, “Xbox Live”, and “Xbox Console Companion”.

You can't type in Powershell while the script is still running. Try closing Powershell completely, opening a new Powershell window, and changing the execution policy then.
my debloater keeps getting stuck at 99% creating a system restore point....any way to disable this? I tried to make restore point so the debloater skips it but that didnt work.

can you still use words, powerpoint, excel after this?
Yes, as long as you have the desktop apps installed and don't use the Office365 app.
If you want to be sure, just check that Microsoft Office is installed in the C:\Program Files\ directory.
Can we uninstall the debloter itself, after getting the work done?
@@Neutral_Views The debloater does not install, but yes, you can delete the files you downloaded after using the debloater.

Hi, do you know how to get back the microsoft store installer service? its missing for some reason, i cant install games or update anything in the microsoft store
Go to Run and type services.msc
Make sure that the Microsoft Store Install service is enabled. Then go back to Run and type wreset.exe to reset the Store Cache. If it's still not working, try removing the store again with the remove-appxpackage *WindowsStore* command in Powershell and then following the steps to reinstall the store once again. how do i add snipping tool app? i acidentally deleted it
The SnippingTool is a program. It is stored in C:\WINDOWS\system32\SnippingTool(.)exe.
Unfortunately Microsoft doesn't offer this for download. If you accidentally deleted this, you could install Windows 10 in a virtual machine, and retrieve the file from the virtual machine. It should work fine.
If you were referring to the Snip & Sketch App, that can be installed from the Microsoft Store. The app is called Snipping Tool on the Store but it is actually the Snip & Sketch app.
