very very good lesson please do more of these much better for those who are advance/intermediate players No one will be SRV but striving to be somewhat as good will lead us to the next "no one will be that guy" your humility is what makes your channel so good
Thanks for your version on the Texas Flood run. It’s a very small hand full of bars in that Song however .. you do a great job l get that it is your interpretation.thanks for just breaking that all down and making it able to be seen. He was lightning fast ., I really don’t see a need for theory but that’s my view. I just want to play.
frank maynes yea. I dont think any of those guys were studying theory. They were just playing off of feel! Hope you could take something away from it, thank you!
SO just curious how you "view" the G turn around licks- are you thinking of those in the D (V) Pentatonic box mixing major and minor- then the C (IV) Pentatonic box mixing major and minor- then the Albert box back down to the G box. When you move to or play over the IV and V- do you often actually move to those boxes or are you still thinking in G pentatonic? Does my question make sense? Are you thinking in terms of the blues box patterns or the IV and V chord shapes when you transition through those patterns.
yjmsrv im not really thinking much at all. The great part about many influential player is, they never played it the same way twice...but with this lick i find he is augmenting a normal pent. Scale or the V chord(D)... i never learned theory, and that can be a gift and a curse, but i just play it how i feel it
