Congrats to you for trying something new. André has brought orchestral music to a mass audience.
If you get a chance to go it will be worth it. His concerts are more of an experience than just a concert. They start with a parade; he takes you on a musical roller coaster ride with a wide variety of music. You will laugh, sing, and maybe cry. He’s big on involving the audience. His signature piece is The Blue Danube and that’s the time for the audience to get up and waltz. After that, the party starts and if it’s outdoors like this one, it may involve fireworks.
André has been playing violin since he was five. His father was a classical music conductor. It’s hard to believe now but André got his start with his own orchestra with five people (including himself) playing waltzes for elderly people in retirement homes. Look how far he’s come! Still bringing people joy, though, after all these years.
In the meantime, his RUclips channel is a treasure. It’s my happy place, lol. Go hang out there to get a feel for what a concert is like. I recommend Bolero for your next listen. 😊
