I just love your channel! I’m 62 yrs old and going on five years caring for my elderly Mother. Who just turned 90 last week. (We lost my Dad 4 yrs ago). I have been watching videos about the Villages for three years and dreaming. I just love your channel and how you get out and about and really show off the Villages. From Door County, Wisconsin and thinking this may be the perfect place for my husband who is very social but can no longer drive. Planning to come take a look while on vacation this week.
I’m a villager. There are MANY premier home neighborhoods north of 44. These houses seem so close to the street. The lot is nice but can find non premier homes on this type of lots. Their home layout is the layout of my designer home, just not as high of ceilings (including the pool). People do not need to buy premier to have a large home. I invite you to look more at the north of 44. Would love to show you around.

Beautiful home congratulations to Tony and Mindy. I want to ask Mindy did she hire a biweekly house keeper? Your house is big and those kitchen cabinets are high. We just bought in the villages in October. We downsized to 1400 sq ft 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. I plan on doing the cleaning. I use to have housekeeper up north once a month. Enjoy your new home.

I noticed there are no privacy fences or hedges are they not allowed?
Hedges, plants and palm trees are allowed but not privacy fences in the Premier or Designer neighborhoods. Thanks!

Thanks for your informative and interesting videos. Still waiting on your vid showing your furnished home and information on furniture sales in the area. Please pause a little longer on menus and other brief clips showing offerings and prices. We have been researching resales, and their seems to be some great value price wise and no or low cost bonds and lower taxes. Looking forward to more of your informative videos.

And not straight after crossing that main Road after entering gate.

Hello Michael and Tiffany, I like your videos, they are very refreshing and with the type of information I want to hear. I have a question, what brand of appliances the homes in the Villages come with? and since you guys when recently with your purchase, I also want to know if the Villages will do the updates we want in the house that is already done and not costume made. Ex: removing the carpet in the bedrooms, etc. Thank you so much for all you do for us!
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the videos. The appliances are GE. They will give you a list of the subcontractors who build your home (floors, cabinets, etc).
Loved the video. Thanks for the hospitality. Had a general question that I have wondered about ever since I learned about The Villages. You opted to raise your home from 8' ceilings to 10' height through out. That seems to be a popular upgrade. In your purchase process did your builder ever break-out an approximate cost of just that upgrade? Maybe on a per square foot basis? You both seem very happy. COngratulations. Loved seeing the designer homes! My husband and I are hoping to buy a house in The Villages at some point! We live in the U.K. so plan on being snow birds to start with!

We are looking for a neighborhood environment in the villages. We realized that there are many neighborhoods that have short-term rentals with not many full-time residences. If you get a chance can you please let us know your experience regarding the neighborhoods near where you live? Thank you.

6:28, I think you are correct, I would call it a portico also. 9:10, Congratulations To Tony and Mindy from Mission V! We did the same thing, left South OC (Dana Point) and ended up in Tennessee, but with a "winter" home in The Villages! Nice to find folks on our same path!

My sister has one on her house and calls it a porte cochere. Not sure what the difference is from a portico though.

This from a search engine check: A porte cochere, generally at ground level, allows passengers to enter or alight from vehicles while protected from the weather. A portico is designed for walkers entering a building's main entrance, often up a set of stairs, but also protected from the weather.

I have one question about all the homes I've seen, what is that drain looking thing in the middle of the living room? We don't have those in the Pacific northwest.

That is a electric plug for a lamp, that would be covered, by surrounding furniture.
Those are electric plugs built in to the floors so you can plug in lamps or electric recliners. Thanks!
I think it's extra electrical outlets so they're not running electrical wires around the room. Once they put some furniture in the room it will probably be hidden by the furniture.

What are the rules about parking in your driveway or on the street?
You can park in your driveway.
Just saying, if you can afford insurance on your new home in the Villages, or you are wealthy enough to be self insured and pay cash for your new home in the Villages, then depending on Florida Law, can you afford to buy and insure your home in Florida under the requirements needed?
What’s the name of village next to the enclave and can you golf cart throughout the community? Are you walking and biking trails in there to throughout the neighborhood how long from the enclave to restaurants and golf shop and shopping within the villages
The Enclave is located in The Village of Dabney and is right next to The Village of Lake Denham. Lots of multi model, walking, biking trails throughout TV.
600k to 1 million is out of reach for me.
Us too! 🤣 But maybe one day! The great thing about The Villages is they have homes from just under $200K to $1 Million plus.

The Enclaves is too secluded for my taste. The architecture seems a bit underwhelming, compared to other premier neighborhoods like Conservation Trail. Would hate to be in a long-term construction zone; they will likely build spec homes if those lots don't sell soon.
It will be interesting to see the full development of this neighborhood over the next couple of months.
