A miracle the mother lasted so long without turning, long enough to save her daughter from being turned into a monster. It was like her instinct to be a mother was stronger than the virus!
This felt real at every turn 👍
Eerily poignant and heartbreaking, the mother's choice to protect her child from the impending horror is measured only by the love she has for her daughter. In ALL circumstances, is there no woman who would not fight to protect her child? Excellent!
Finally I've found a zombie film with actual depth, dealing with ethical and moral issues. Not just some actors thrown in front of a screen and violence just for the sake it, very very well done, thank you for this!!!!
+Richard Desmond Exactly. This actually depicts 'the turning' as a process and the protagonist having to degenerate with their child in tow is great.

That 7 minutes was better than 90% of zombie movies they create now

LOL, this is my pet peeve about any film that shows an antagonist chasing the prey. The prey finds somewhere to hide, but leaves the damn door open. Makes me crazy.

I'm glad some one said it.. That I don't understand why in every zombie movie they trying their best to save their lives yet they let the fucking door open and only lock the last door they were hiding...like what the heck..
Very good! One thing that is demonstrated here, it appears, is the tendency for everyone to live in the 'Now' and not consider the future. Whether it's planning for your retirement or a nationwide catastrophe, the media tends to push people toward only living for the day and not thinking about securing your future. This is how we have gotten to be a nation of dependent, consumers who would become just as deadly as a zombie in a 'grid-down' situation where the population is cut off from food and other supplies. This woman, even if she didn't have any material preparations with her, like a knife or food, if she had had some training in survival and scavenging she and her daughter would have stood a much better chance of surviving. Doing a little bit of survival prepping each day will dramatically improve the chances of you and your loved ones surviving an emergency, especially if it is a short term localized one. RUclips is full of related videos and is a great place to start.
You are 100% right. I tell ya! If any kind of apocalypse happens I am going to be way more scared of the people who are left alive then whatever is killing us off. First of all someone who has nothing to loose is way more scary and ignorance is also a fun scary word. +Bryon Bartholomew That house was in the midlands in small village called Edingley. It was actually half demolished, the back of the house no longer existed and they tore the rest of it down the day after we finished shooting!

Excellent! The best zombie short film so far for me. I kinda feel attached to the character. And the ending is really sad and depressing. Nice work capturing people's emotions.

If u liked this one, u should check out"turned" on crypt tv.. that's another great zombie short.. it has the realism of a world gone to hell.. the dirty gritty sweaty nastiness of turning into a zombie.. 2 hours is another great zombie short on the other side of a zombie movie with someone getting bit and waiting to turn.. it's a really good one as well.. plus there's another zombie short called "axe".. gory as hell and intense.. also "perished" is another really good zombie short film.. if u like zombie movies/short films, you'll really like the ones I've mentioned..
Now this I liked a lot. The gritty realism, not some 'muricans with perfect hair, assault rifles and the inevitable fingerless leather gloves. The filth and despair of a real world gone to hell.
Yeah the US also has lots of people who own motor vehicles and who prove every single day that they don't know how to use them "competently" or "effectively."
Eh let's see you come up with a show better than *THE WALKING DEAD* . Yeah sure there's some things are unrealistic in the show but wtf , it's TV!

She did the right thing. Even if she gave the gun to her daughter, there's no way a young girl her age could survive on her own. The mother did the most humane thing a mother could do for her child in a situation like that. Bravo!

Pretty good with the exception of the chair to the door. The only way that works is if the chair is wedged under the doorknob. The knob is too high. May as well put a bag of feathers in front of it.

Tbh this is how I had really wanted some zombie movies/short films to end. I wouldn’t want my child to die in such a horrible way, this way it’s painless and quick, no suffering.
The self struggle to defeat the evil ness by the mother in her own self is thus presented awesome.its quiet hard to defeat the internal chaos than to fight with any external power.thanks to the actor who has bloomed it so fabulously

This is the harsh world, when everything has been taken away from you and you wish it was all a bad dream, but you got to accepted that this the world, and you got to adapt to it if you want to live, to show that you are really capable to survive even if it means of doing things you wouldn't like, that the mom in the film, she couldn't bear to loss her child to zombies, so she took the easy way out.

The cameraman who filmed the movie is always safe no matter how dangerous the situation is and how many the zombies are. Zombies are never attractive to the person who made the movie.

agreed. i would have ransacked that house with the girl/daughter and in the same time - give her instructions on how to be careful...etc. i think IF the woman would have been a prepper...then that's a newball game. That girl would have been raised for mayb since she was 7 or 8 on survivalism...so maybe - 2 years of how to make fire, how to do a dakota fire - how to fish - hunt - trap - lol - maybe not but still search the house to see what is usable and a bag/backpack she should have had with fire making tools - meds - food - i dont know - but i know how i am i NEVER leave my home without a small "get home bag" and you better believe your bottom dollar i know how to use everything i have in their. LOL...Anyone else??

The moment Ive realized i have gotten "bit", I would of woken my Daughter, sneak her out of the House and tell her to run without looking back! Also I would of given her the Revolver! Then Id try killing all Zombies around/ giving my Daughter more time, before I die or Transform myself. Most important, not to panic/ but all better said than done. The short Film makes you think for a sec/ nicely done👍

I think this is a real life,that woman is so scared for her self and her daughter, sometimes if you feel so scared you can't think right,like just put a chair to the door and even you can't feel any pain like big wounds until you feel save .
