I associate the closing narration with you being about to die, so when you fell in the water near the end I was so sure a deino was about to grab you! Your videos are awesome, great job.

I thought you and the pachy were working together at first since you both attacked around the same time. After you ran off, I crashed and lost the herd. And I don't think the dead ones were part of your little herd. I found them dead before the herd got to that area, and they all passed through the tunnel and into swamp together.

The lone raptor that joined the fight against the deino jumpscared me for a moment, I thought it was a dilo! (I’ve sadly killed other raptors multiple times because I thought they were a dilo or another Dino at a glance, “accidental cannibalism” is what I call it)

@@dinometta I once went as a spy against mixpackers with a large pack of stegos ready to attack them (and me to avoid suspicion) and they somehow found out and killed me. I was pretty sure there was a spy in the steggos, I was laughing pretty hard about it

Currently the best places to be are Highlands, West rail, and swamp depending on which migration zone is active! Once you learn the map, travel is a breeze. I highly recommend playing as your preferred prey once in a while, it's a great way to learn their migration routes and pathways for good ambushes and such!
@@dinometta Thanks, will do! For now I've been playing Herrera and been mostly scavenging so I can get away from the chaos and get a grip on the situation if I need to. They are great fun!

@@xXTheMustXx I haven't had any troubles with it myself, but hopefully with the new night vision coming soon, it'll be easier on you
that hitbox at 13:50 is craaazy
@@insomniasfinest4847 luckily that wasn't so much hitboxes as it was the dibble having high ping. It definitely screwed with my ability to fight though, since none of the hits he landed on me should have hit x[ But that's what happens when servers aren't region locked, ping can affect how a fight turns out more than you'd think

I love the videos. I’m kind of getting into the game mostly because of your stuff. I have a nagging feeling that raptor always kills by reducing the health pool and very rarely if at all by reducing the blood pool do you have any thoughts on this?
@@scottl9660 yeah, in most cases it's easier to kill by pure damage. Bleeding things out is near impossible when you're running solo, but is much easier in a pack. Unfortunately, of all the creatures that do bleed, it seems like raptor actually does the lowest amount.

I’ve been wondering, did diablos weight get changed again or its knockdown capacity? Because a full grown diablo apparently can’t knock down an adult stego anymore but I don’t think its weight was changed since it became 3 tons.

I was full grown deino went to steal body of omni's and my stam went from full to none 😢 luckily the water was there to save me 😂. Maybe u can do a deino video soon 😊

At the state it currently is, I hate raptors more than any other Dino. The players have that killer instinct. For example I'd spawn in South plains as Cera. There are a million body's around, I just want to scavenge, get diet and go Water Access. And the Raptors kill me of course. It was a good thing you didn't play NA5 yesterday, I would have murdered you with my FG Dibble.
NA5 yesterday was brutal for some reason, no matter what spawn I felt run down and killed
@@stephanwagner6189 yeah, I actively avoid South. A lot of raptor players simply sit there and live on fresh spawns. I, myself, am not a fresh spawn killer unless I'm on the verge of starvation. Otherwise I prefer to just scare them, dance, and run off.
Regardless, I'm currently only playing on NA2, AI causes extra lag and I can't be bothered to deal with that when I'm playing something so fragile

Hi. Can you folks talk about why you never really see many experienced players making videos of the carno anymore? Has something happened to it? Like what's the overall opinion on it? I ask because it's the only dino ice played and ice only got about 108 hours in game and only in South.
@@TheHighsmith8 carno is in a very unfortunate place right now. It used to be very strong: low agility, but able to knock down things up to teno size with charge.
Charge now is basically useless. 10% stamina to activate, more to continue the charge, doesn't knock down anything unless you've been in an active charge for at least 3 seconds(using about half your stamina) and then charge can only be activated every 20 seconds. Instead of being a finishing move for a small game hunter, it is a great way to run out of stamina before you can kill your target.
@@dinomettathe problem imo is that its a good ambush tool but its too risky to use unless your prey is *absolutely* oblivious to you. Then again it just feels too fast with the instant acceleration. Honestly they should just change the charge to how it was in 6.5, same with acceleration, but keep its current max stam time. That way its almost like legacy carno so it can’t fight big stuff, but its strong enough to fight and ambush things its size and smaller. (Basically make it 6.5 carno but with more stam and *maybe* reduce its knockdown capacity)
This is really frustrating to hear. It's my favorite dinosaur, has always been my favorite, so see a game as beautiful looking (when it's actually working) nerf the largest land carnivore that's currently in the game really makes me not even want to play as it's the only dino I care to play. Any news if there are changes coming from what appears to a newcomer like myself to be completely silent and non existent devs?
@@TheHighsmith8 Carno has been said to have changes coming soon, but what and when is unknown at the current time. Carno desperately needs TLC, and I say that as someone who suffered through update 6 carno
@@TheHighsmith8 It also needs to feed constantly and doesn't really have the stamina to search for food fast enough, unless they're in a hotspot.

@@stefanm8155 never stop trying. That's the best advice I have. It's easy to become frustrated in this game, but every death is a lesson learned. Work on your movement, pay attention to timing when you go for attacks, and use patience. Rushing a fight usually results in mistakes
@@dinomettanot gonna lie this especially worked for me in evrima now that I think about it. Considering how many times I died and thought I wouldn’t get used to combat 🤣

Great video again, glad to see people fighting the diablo population as solo underrated carnivores lol. Diablo players so far are annoying 🤣. Also I heard you might have merch soon… interesting for sure. Im on vacation currently at Gulf Shores lol so I probably won’t be super active in discord compared to the regular 🤣 the new night vision looks cool imo but for some reason Im not super sure how I feel about it yet. I think its kinda weird though that people say this nighg vision is bad but its easier to see in than the new night vision imo at least in the right situation… I’ll have to see it myself when playing to see my final thoughts on it. What do you think about the new system? Is it a straight upgrade or maybe a mixed bag, and why? 🤣 Sorry lotta questions but I’m curious on what you think about it and how it’ll impact gameplay lol. I kinda think it would be easier ambushing with things like dilo if it was more radius based like legacy but again I’ll have to experience it to be sure. @@dtbrex08 I think the new night vision is perfection. Being able to see too much is a problem, makes ambush at night impossible for night predators like dilo. But also the way the new vision works is more realistic. If you look at a bright light, you're going to struggle to see for a minute after. In the dusk and dawn, you're going to struggle to see. At night, light from the moon and weather affect your ability to see with and without night vision. And then of course it doesn't make everything look washed out and colorless anymore, not does it give an advantage during the day anymore.
@@dinometta that makes a lot more sense lol. I just hope it isn’t too dark at least for most people. That’s really the only problem I have with it, is the fact it seems dark to where most people would complain about it but it somehow doesn’t. I guess its less of a problem with night vision itself but more so me being annoyed with how the community reacts to things like this. Like “oh the old night vision sucked you couldn’t see anything” *insert new night vision thats still really dark because duh, with slight changes* “OMG this night vision is amazing finally the devs do something good!!!!”
@@dtbrex08 it looked darker on dondi's stream than it actually was on his monitor. And even on stream, it looked and felt more natural than what we currently have
@@dinomettaI do see your point on it being colorless and less washed out though as well as it not helping as much during daytime (I hope, we haven’t seen it in daytime yet…), that will help a lot more with night vision being used for night vision exactly. I hope I can say the same when it fully comes out and that it helps the game more when it comes to horror and giving nocturnal creatures a better advantage while keeping the game fun for everything else (it already was for me even with the previous versions of nv but if this one gives the same vibe to me as it does you in the end, that’s great!)

@@Dermeister009 yeah .. the lag is still bad, and running into players that have higher ping usually results in unfair hits as well. The muddy dibble guarding the leg broken juvenile especially was incredibly laggy and hit me from 50 yards away multiple times
