I feel like the borders getting red instead of having a healthbar could be a cool option and work well, IF they made it work like the logout screen how it slowly encloses the entire screen. Then it'd kinda simulate how you're likely to not see as well the closer you get to death. Not to mention it'd be more clear as to how hurt you are, if it's just barely lighting up the borders then you're hardly hurt, if your screen is completely red and you only see through a tiny hole, you're about to die. I'd honestly be all for it then, but I hate it how it is because it's still pretty hard to tell where you're at. Alot of times it seems like you're more hurt than you are at first, then you can be on the brink of death and still think you can take 1 more hit. Plus with the way the red border kinda moves around somewhat, it makes it difficult to tell what stage it is sometimes.

You can herd tenonto ai in to a wall where it gets stuck and then just spam bite it for easy food, carnivores can get ai food anywhere, goats now spawn in groups of up to 6, it is hardly a struggle for survival to grow a carni unless you get extremely unlucky

Sucks that you can just survive off AI indefinitely, I liked it how large carnivores were forced to fight players or scavenge to survive once they got big enough. I wish the migration zone was just herbivore food, and carnivores would also go there to hunt player herbivores. Carnivores should be forced to PvP to survive. Sad to see that it's going toward optional PvP where you can just survive off of AI Tenos instead. Like, this was an entire 50 minute video and it didn't have a single fight because there was no reason to. They just killed the garbage AI that stood there and let them do it lmao

At least 4 times as a juvie herbi trying to reach that tiny acre of land that i am allowed to eat, i have run in to cera+raptor mix packs camping the paths around the border of the migration zones. Slow juvie herbivores as well as omnivores are forced to go to artificially created hotspots where they can not run or hide when a faster predator sees them, food should be biome dependent, not be confined to a tiny acre of land at a time

I like the look of Gateway, but the migration mechanics that come with it seem really bad. Both because of bad gameplay, and because they are bad for immersion. I've been watching this video in chunks, and I just got back from feeding hay to my cows to be told to go touch grass. It's extra significant cause it's winter and hay is literally the only grass I could touch.
Good point about Disney vs Looney Toons back in the 40s. That's interesting. I agree for the most part. I will say that I was most engaged (Disney-wise) by cartoons that involved Chip'N'Dale or Pluto.
The argument for camera lock when eating is it ads a way to sneak up better on prey when hunting plus it makes it so that when someone is eating his dino is distracted
Little tip, keep fps capped at 60 whenever I had mine at anything higher it caused insane amounts of inconsistencies in the fps but whenever I capped it at 60 it just never moved from 60fps. I got a 7900XT and a 5800X and my fps still jumps at any fps cap over 60.
I like how every other game listens to the outrage of the fans if they are loud enough, but the isle straight up gives the middle finger to the player complaints and sugestions and just do whatever they want

Carno is still good, it can insta charge from just a few steps, a pretty good pay off for having a cool down and having to manage your stamina, we don't need a repeat of last few updates ago were Carno was unreasonably overpowering.

Although now that there are actual lakes itd be interesting if aquatics got a bit of a land buff so deino can at least realistically go between water sources at all (while obviously still having it be risky as fuck) and not just dry out halfway

We had both systems in Legacy and it didn't cause any issues whatsoever
