The battle royale mindset pisses me off. Littering corpses everywhere lagging up the server (I have a 4070 super but I know it's bad for others).
I will create a offline server as soon every dinosaur is aviable as AI and will have my fun
@@peterstedman6140 Lmao I have same GPU and sometimes the server would gradually bring it down to 50FPS.
Then I realize I was running the game in 4K........ (I don't have a 4k monitor).
Nevertheless, I was playing as a Deino in the south plain's river catching fishes and putting them on side of the river for baby carnivores to eat.
Then I was killed by a single Stego (I was full grown, took 2 - 3 hit).
Im pretty sure if you're getting chased by a bigger croc you can run faster than them on land to get away
Yeah, I do that a lot, but it gets to the point where they are faster than you when you turn somewhere around sub

I know for a fact you absolutely are not faster than a bigger croc. They are both faster and stronger on land and in the water
@@pain002 Yep but the larger croc drains a lot more stamina on land than a smaller croc so if you have a bit of a lead up on land you can run away from them.
Often wont save you though since now you are possibly hurt, low on stamina and on land making you a easy target for land dinos who are more than happy to kill a Deino even if they cant eat you.
Would be a lot more fun playing Deino if they were not psychopaths, overpopulation solves itself even without cannibalism with there not being enough food around if there are too many crocs in one area.

Gotta say, dont feel dirty managing a safe log. Not only did they have a whole minute to jump you but with how punishing it is to die in this game and how aggro most players are, never feel bad gettin tf outta a bad situation

Yup!! I log like that too, I also usually don’t mind it when I find out that my prey that I was chasing does the same, means I would’ve never caught them in the first place and they get to live another day

Tbf carnos are actually meant to be cannibalistic but pretending to be friendly and then murking people is a very scummy thing to do

i love seeing you play, having sympathy doesn't make you a weak player, they probably respect you more,. Only hunting when you're hungry, at least I do.
There is a HUGE issue with lack of food for herbivores and carnivores. The lack of herbivore food is astounding, and frankly very stressful. Nice video, loved watching the Deinosuchus gameplay!!

There are also normal players in The Isle. If your stomach is full, why kill, right? I'm a little tired of when a certain area is full of corpses, but you simply can't do anything there (you steal a bite), because you're immediately attacked by a Cerato, Carno, Dilo or a Raptor pack. Or, in the same situation, you try with a herbivore, but some aggressive animal gets in your way, just because why not, he's bored. I like realism. But not unnecessary killing. And just a game, of course. But still... Good video. I subscribed.
Realism is creatures not killing everything on sight. Why? Because of the risk, the fear of death. Back when progression was a thing, people would be scared for their lives, and there were usually more small dinosaurs than large ones, which is realistic as well. Of course over time, the Isle lost a good bunch of biodiversity that's in progress of restoration. But somehow mixpacking could also be fixed, two different predator species never cooperate in nature, they are rivals, they avoid each other or steal from each other, not directly help each other hunt like the old giga=good bleeder + rex = bonebreaker bullshit of legacy. Let's not even talk herbivore-carnivore mixpacking, it's hilariously stupid. Herbivores herding together regardless of species, now that one is somewhat realistic, look at modern day Africa. Make no mistake, they may still compete for food and water, but staying together to have eyes and ears on carnivores can pay off.
@@hunormagyar1843 I think evirma should have a system whereby for example, ceratopsians and stegosaurs get debuffs when around each other for too long, yet get buffs when around certain herbivores they may have lived with. Like stegosaurus may get a small speed boost when they live alongside dryos or something idk

One of the Reasons i mained Utah on the old Isle, takes only 2 Hours to full Adult.

hey a tip to lung farther is wait till your back legs a just in the water then lung you go far and can grab things even when your done with the lung
Dont hold shift when you right click, it wont grab if you do that. I feel like you should’ve gotten the cera twords the end with how big you looked!

pro tip: when deino cantt lunge something because its too small ( 5:11) it gets stuck in this biting/tearing animation, i dont think it deals any more damage than the lunge usually would, but if lets say a stego is 6 tons and standing on land, when the deino is 8, it cant lunge it, but i believe it still stuns the stego temporarily. not long enough to get away though and the stego can just swing back

Pretty sure you have to be double the targets weight to lung it on land. If that was a fg Cerato you were definitely not big enough.

Loved it! I would love to grow a salt water croc and nest in others. I think you had a good spot where you were, but I reckon that there could be other spots too. Also, now that they have salt water dinos (not officially, but technically), how long do you think it will take Afterthought to pretty up the oceans and add other aquatic dinos to the game?
the isle seems to take their time releasing new dinos, so probably a very very long time :(

its just night vision. This was recorded on hordetesting servers so might be different. I dont play enough croc to notice

its nice to win against other people but theres a balance fr, alot of people dont put themselves in their "preys" shoes.
i dont really gaf if you're hungry and need to eat, but i see other youtubers/people just killing for fun/content when it would suck BIG TIME to lose a 60-70% dibble in such a big and fun herd like that.

NA 1 west on hordetest. They changed dibble migration to swamp so now theres less visitors to west beach
Miscalculating a grab is one thing, but why not try to bite them to death before they reach land? Either way, enjoyed the vid. The ocean storm was eye candy to watch.

Every dino as of now, yes.
I mean it doesn't thrive in salt water because nothing is usually near salt water 😅 youd need alot of beach dilos to fill your belly as a salt water deino
at the time Dibble had a migration on the beach where i was but they removed it

The isle Hordetesting is beta's. Its their testing version of the game
You can only grab half of your weight, I think, they also increased the dibbles weight so you will never be able to grab a full grown dibble..
u can grab a full grown stego if its swimming, they changed that with the last patch. Go and try it :) very funny

@@Even6 70 ping if that is consistent then that would be good for me. I live in denmark which is slightly more north then central europe. i get between 50-110 ping tho usually it stays at 80-90 ping. Thats on every eu server.

I’d play the isle if the penalty for death wasn’t so harsh…
but the pro is that's what makes the fights so much more intense
@@Even6 Yeah, I’ll agree on that. When you get in a fight you everyone’s extremely careful. It adds more to the survival experience since realistically no one wants to die.
But at the same time it makes the game super annoying to play sometimes since you can die in like 15 minutes of reaching adult then have to start the process all over again.
If it were me I’d tell the isle to pick one. Like BoB or path. Path has low penalty for death but a long ass growth time, the isle has high penalty but allows quick growth.
@@KingslayaJ because of all the risk people tend to group up so finding the right fight is a mission on its own. This dino in the vid takes 6hrs to grow with perfect diet but i didnt have that. After 10hrs i was still about 80% haha
@@Even6 yeah I know i used to play back in the more early stages of evrima. I grew frustrated of the gameplay so I stopped playing. I liked playing deino the most, it was so annoying having only 1 Dino slot, and the fact how as soon as I’d hit adult I’d end up being cannibalized 10 minutes after I hit adult by other crocs. Then gotta grow 6 hrs again 🙄.
This is why I then moved to BoB and PoT where the penalties weren’t as severe. In Bob you loose your whole Dino but it only takes like 30 minutes to hit adult. And in pot you basically don’t really die.
I just feel like BoB and PoT actually allow you to play the game, when in the isle the majority of the time is spent just growing. If they can figure smth out for this to either make it more fun as a baby-Young adult or just make the growth times less idk? It just takes too long to grow and you can die so quick it’s unreal.
I just don’t see a point in playing when 90% of it I’m not even playing. Just kinda waiting to grow.
