Chewy is a real one. It’s always so nice seeing experienced players help out those who are struggling rather than just kill them over and over ruining their experience. Need more people like chewy.
IMO, it depends on the Dinosaur, pack dinos like Utahraptor and herbivores it would make sense to just accept and help the new guy. Crocodile, and other solitary hunters like the T-rex, it would make more sense to kill a potential source of competition.

I love that they implemented the idea of licking salt to get rid of sickness! In case you didn’t know, there’s a paleo-documentary series called Prehistoric Planet, and in one of the episodes, a herd of Triceratops travel deep into a cave where they basically eat the clay and lick the salt from the walls to help get rid of plant toxins in their stomach! I really recommend it if you haven’t seen it!

Licking salt does nothing to cure sickness and toxins in real life, it's not some miraculous medicine. Animals lick salt to get minerals.
@@WyrmcrushIt's a thing birds (and some animals) still do! There's a type of cockatoo in Australia that would ravage fruit farmer's orchards, so the farmers started spraying the fruit trees with toxins. Took a week, then the birds were right back eating - they just flew down to the coast, ate some blue clay and then flew back, the clay neutralizing the toxins.
Fooster flying straight into the tree at 3:09 made the video amazing for me 😂

This was definitely the funniest episode of TI that I’ve watched and the fact that chewy was kind enough to not belittle or make fun of you as he’s literally watching you ricochet off of trees and waiting for your Stam to build, or going out of his way to find you salt rock and then have you not even have the sickness, what an absolute legend❤🙏
Ok, tips. 1. You have a diet. those are what the symbols are above your hunger bar. depending on what diet you have you get different buffs. 2. the meat bone symbol when you smell means food that isnt part of your diet. The picked bone means that its rotten, which is why you are puking. the weird 3 dots and 2 bars and the S are foods that arnt rotten and are part of your diet. (like so he sees and i dont cringe everytime i see him eat rotten meat) edit: Also, they are adding 4 new dinos hopefully in the next week. the ceratosaurus, a bulky meat eating scavenger that poisons other dinos with their bacteria in their mouths. beipaosaurus, a duck like semi aquatic omnivore that bottom feeds on crabs and frogs. 3, troodon, a pack hunting small dinosaur that is like a raptor but with venom. 4, gallimimus. a extremely fast omnivore that has a very strong kick, similar to an ostrich. i think you would love playing as carno, very fast ambush predator with a hard childhood since like deinos, they are canibalistic.

Agreed! I can't even tell you how many times I watched this The Isle playlist that someone compiled years ago. The videos on server events (migration, tournaments, etc) were especially fun to watch too 😊

i usually dont comment but i just wanted to say that fooster, u have been one of the main sources of entertainment for my family for about a year now. when my mom and i were sick with covid last year, then sick again with a cold a few months later, we watched u all day every day on the couch and had many laughs. now, we watch u when we want to spend extra time together when eating dinner, etc. thanks for being awesome and making this great content ❤

EVERY time you eat a rotten carcass and get food poisoning from it and EVERY time you ask what's going and and keep asking why you have food poisoning and vomit sickness. Too funny. I absolutely love all your The Isle videos! Can't stop watching them. They are so much fun!

Pteranodon seems to be a great way to learn the map, travel is safe and quick and food sustains you relatively well.
Really enjoyed the little editing touch with the echo inside the cave btw.
Isle video where Fooster makes it from end to end in one piece...other than the ones he left behind in the crash landings...gotta love it! Very much enjoyed this and always look forward to that alert for a new video drop. Always a joy and not on all the same tracks as every other streamer makes it even that much more exciting. Also glad to see I am not the only one that goes full RP when playing games. Wish you all the best!

And you can absolutely tap left click to snatch a fish as they jump, you just have to click a bit before you arrive. Best and fastest way to get fish!

This and the deino are definitely the two I'm most interested in trying when I finally decide to play. This is a beautiful game and the dinos are awesome, but I'm not overly fond of combat. Being able to just fly around and enjoy the views in a mostly pacifist way is pretty appealing to me
Yeah, with the Ptera you can pretty much avoid other dinos. Only when you need water it can get tense. But def worth it.

ptera has the option to go to places without deinos if needed thanks to flying.
a fully grown ptera can go almost across the entire map with full stamina.
@@uteriel282 its somewhat difficultg to go across the map maintaining full stamina unless you glide the whole way and going up when you have to, and you can never really be safe from deinos, not even on land.
24:09 the fact he doesn't see that dino to the right after latching to the tree stresses me out, like imagine he misses and falls on its dinner plate lol

In case you haven't figured it out yet, the time of day/night is in the top right of your Character Screen e.g. at 4:10 it shows the time as 9.01am. I love that you've been checking out The Isle lately & gave the Pteranodon a go. Loving the vids! And thanks to Chewy for helping out a new player & looking after our Fooster, you're awesome mate!

He's not quite right about the diet thing.
You can absolutely eat anything, if you're a carnivore eat any meat, if you're a herbivore eat any plants (that you can).
You wont get sick eating boars as a pteranodon. BUT you wont get the bonus diet buff, THAT is what he meant.
Never heard of this game before but it looks incredible! I really love how they've done nighttime. Clearly night but you can still see pretty well. You don't feel like going around at night is a death sentence.
I may have to get this game myself

multiple things u need to know ;)
: u have a button to lay down for regein stam faster ^^ look ur controls ^^
: u have a diet system in the steam info on the isle (ur exagones have to be full on something ^^ (for ptera the best is 3points full on 3 exagons _for stam boost full_ or 1 exa with 3 points and 2 exa of 2 bars _ for stam and night vision boost _ )
: u can also stop on a cliff (like u do on trees, the animation)
: where u stopped at the end the rock u must stop is the big one on the beach in front of the arch ^^ the best place to nest as ptera ^^ u got drinkable water (not a sniffing one) just under the arch on right side ^^ important think when u go at beach ^^
: u can found crabs too on the sand or just at the limit of rocks or of grass ^^ u can heard them scratching around ^^ turtles too make song : like the deer song, like a "meuuuuh" (cow "meuuuh")
: u got, when u on the ground, an ALT attack : ALT+clic does a lot of domages and blood ^^ but u used stam for it ... care ;)

It makes things more tense, and you need to plan more and think about what to do and how to do it.

Not Fooster face planting his poor dino 😂. Oh goodness. The various calls are amazing, makes you wonder how they know what they sounded like? Seeing the detail in the design of the different dinos and their actions and reactions is amazing ❤. Great video full of trials, a few errors and loads of fun.

Love how Fooster mentioned he was told not to over eat then 5 minutes later his dino clearly throws up again from over eating lol (Can't eat or drink as much and the stats in the bottom right turn yellow, the early warning is the stomach flashing yellow when eating, it was eating that entire fish that did it fella after eating something not on your diet). Keep up the fun videos dude.
WOW, so majestic! It makes me think of Ark Survival A LOT and all the hours solely spent flying on a pteranadon. Weather it was for looking for other dinos, a place to set up base or just sight seeing. I'll never forget those moments! With the brothers and friends! Man! Such a great game, Ark and this one too!
Edit; in ark you could do this twirl with the dino so I'm curious to see what you can do in this one! The tree mounting sounds awesome!

The Isle News Updates is a RUclips channel that hosts frequent developer notes and Discord commentary. The recent stuff is regarding the Dillo animations and the next update will have Galli, Troodon, Cerato and Biepi. I think they are also working on Diablo and the horn-locking mechanic that’ll likely be a mechanic for all ceratopsians.
The learning from your parent comment is exactly how playing the isle is, you learn most things by watching and interacting with others

Hello fooster. Definitely a late comment but if you see this, the update is coming to this month or the next month, as they have started to announce the public test of stress testing and, I believe there's not a lot of bugs to report. There will be 4 new ones; Beipe the duck, Galli the long legs, Cera the badger and Troodon the mini raptor. Like any dino, they have unique mechanics which you may probably like, especially bipi's.
Fooster & Jimbob would be a riot together 😂❤

One of my husbands favorite games is the Isle, I really enjoy watching it, but yesterday I finally started trying to teach myself how to play. Hubby is thrilled lol. Love the videos Fooster, wouldn’t mind seeing more of the Isle! Hope you and your health issues are doing well post surgeries etc. 😊
