  • When Tool, Queens Of The Stone Age, Slipknot and Alice In Chains want to make records chances are they're calling Evil Joe Barresi.
Joe moved out to Los Angeles many years ago and started his career at the world famous Sound City recording studio as a Tape Machine operator and the rest is history.
Joe's resume is insane. If a band is heavy and the real deal Joe has probably worked with them.
Visit his website www.joebarresi.com and lose your mind at all of the albums he has worked on.
This is a fantastic deep dive talk about the recording process of some of your favorite albums.

This guy has done some of my favorite albums of all time. What a great interview! So interesting to hear how he got that old school magnetized tape thing on the Tool album, always wondered why that happened on old records. I could listen to him talk all for hours more! If there was one guy I would want to work with it would be Evil Joe.
