      @@Zenai01 it makes no difference if its the mom, the dad, the boyfriend, brother, neighbor ect. Since youre 12 and dont understand the law allow me to educate you. Minors dont have rights. They are under the authority of the parent/guardian. In this paticular instance, it would appear the mother gave the boyfreind permission and authority to pick her up. He is now acting as an agent of the mother and has full authority to collect the child. If the other parent believes there is some safety issue then the cops and child services should be involved. Period.

      My husband saw shadows in the yard in the middle of night. He ran out chased them to their car where they randomely jumped in, he stood in front of the car pounding on the hood. Turned out one had a crush on our daughter. Come back in the daytime.....he never spoke to her after that....and they had to change seats because the driver wss in back.

      My now adult sons tell me I was a great parent. Once a boy was being picked up by his stepfather after a sleepover but was clearly scared of the man. I went out into the street and confronted the bastard. Told him that if I heard he'd been hitting the kid again I'd report him. He never hit the boy again. My kids and their friends were very impressed. And reassured.

      I actually really like the difference between TBBT and young Sheldon! It really shows that Sheldon is not an accurate historian. Yes, he remembers facts correctly, but he doesn’t necessarily understand the “why” behind other’s actions. Truly shows how someone’s perspective can be completely different than reality

      @@alexaraya2018That his dad was an alcoholic is the only bad thing Sheldon ever said about his dad. Sure he was a simple man that that didn't understood what was going on with Sheldon. But he never was described as an abusive alcoholic and when you watch the show carefully, you'll find many examples where Sheldon is talking about how his dad did spend time with him and didn't neglect him. Like all the football stories.

      George Foreman in later years was chunky.. but still had fists of concrete and split wood at his place as a part of his workout. George - Ex military man who coaches young men on the field and a pop who has a family to defend... who doesn't make a lot of bank but keeps a roof over them and food available for the dinner table...may not be pretty, but its what my grandpa did for me and mine... nah son... back off or get lit off.

    That was my dad growing up. Every child that came into our home was treated like his child. If one of my friends didn't feel comfortable leaving with someone then they weren't leaving with them.

      @akfortyfo7024 Kids being at my house all the time? Yes. Having to actually protect them from someone they didn't want to leave with? Not as often. I had two girls I was super close with and both of their moms had a revolving door of men they were bringing into their daughter's lives. There were several times that their moms sent the boyfriend of the week to pick them up from my house.

    Reminds me of my Dad. 2 of my older siblings friends lived in bad situations at different times, my Dad never pride , but he gave them a safe space to land. We had different kids live with us at different times throughout the years. Great men , Great Fathers , Great humans. Love you pops.
