Since when do most people end up with what they deserve anyway even if you could find an impartial judge and system for that ideology? Thus he has missed out on elementary and the middle school puberty talks which is what he needs to know to be able to function at university. School is about more than intelligence but building life skills for the adult world. Sheldon lacks those skills.
I’m just now realizing how deep his voice has gotten throughout this show.

Exactly. So it honestly makes sense that he gets his own room. Him having his own room is basically like giving him a handicap dorm. I'm not even sure if Sheldon should even be allowed to use the community bathroom to shower for the same reason.

@@ATLGelato Real talk since about 5-10 years ago some mildly influential people decided its laugh track was fake (even the episodes when it was filmed live) and from then on people just jumped on the bandwagon and decided that every single attempted joke needed deconstructing and comparing to other sitcoms just because at a glance it presents itself as a show that's written for some super smart non-existent audience which it really isn't at all.

Ok ngl I kind of wanted THIS to be the reason he knocks 3 times on a door he just barges in to see college students going to town in that room (given he sees his father sleep with another woman it’s not that far off just a more tragic scenario). Don’t get me wrong the original reason is very sad and powerful but given how much sheldon’s narration is completely off from what actually goes on they could very easily spin it in a way.
In the big bang theory this is exactly the reason he knocks 3 times ?

usually you get the sex-ed talk at 14 (around 8th grade i think?) so he's not even old enough for it, realistically he shouldve gotten the puberty talk one or two years ago

Yeah it's elementary school info but in the USA many people are very socially conservative.
His parents avoiding the use of sex was less because of his age and more because of his personality as Sheldon. He himself only uses the term "coitus" to avoid using the word sex. They also know that if Sheldon knew people were having sex in his room, he would have a panic attack, spend a week/month cleaning, and/or demand to have another studying room from the university's dean. Sheldon can handle talk of sex, but he absolutely cannot handle any invasion of his space.

Nice ideology, but never a reality. Deserve is a very opinion based concept. For exempel, I don’t believe he deserves a study room just because he’s smarter then someone else who works harder to accomplish their goals. He is already privileged by being lucky to be born with his brain. No need to make him even more privileged by giving him more opportunities then the kids who work harder for it, but simply aren’t so lucky to be born a genius. They are the ones that deserve the extra help, in my opinion. Not him.

Or he is just being optimistic about them to some level. To be honest i wouldnt consider most people to actually be socially smart even if they are socially acomplished and i would argue you can be socially smart but still sometimes socially akward or unaware. To some degree being socially smart actually can be closer to academic inteligence than people here are willing to consider it but most people here are only focusing on the more intuitive practical side of it not on aspects where we talk about more complex social topics and it becomes more academic again.
Some people may have greater understanding of interections between groups for example like sam displays and this is often more associated with an academic aspect.on a lower level when dealing with the practical aspects and more reactive this may seem to be less academic but it quickly shows itself to be more of a similar type inteligence and often pushed aganist as other forms of inteligence and critical thinking.
I haven't watched this series since Season 3 or so, and his voice has gotten so much deeper

People calling Sheldon out is entertaining but it really does show he only gets worse cause he takes the criticism as hatred for him
Because he skipped the grades where those lessons are learned. Similarly, nobody (he cares about) actually explains Real Life to him. Sam telling Sheldon, "This is why people avoid you." Goes right over his head, and re-inforces his own idea that he's too smart & people are intimidated by his brilliance.
