No way! Speedway on your channel was the last thing I would've expected. Thank you for giving the sport some spotlight, it deserves far more attention than it gets 👊
@@Mighty.Titan1I would sat that there are a few National sports in Poland. These are of course football, but also ski jumping, volleyball, track and field and speedway.
Yup. And every winter, there is Ice Speedway - just like normal speedway, but run on ice (hence the name), with added spikes (about 300 3cm (1 1/4") steel spikes per bike)...
I'm surprised there's no catch fence tbh edit: then again they're designed to catch cars not people so you'd get really messed up landing on one of them at speed.
Yeah that was Zbigniew Raniszewski. There was a lot of controversy about this crash, like there was supposed to be something protecting riders from hitting that stairs, and the family of Raniszewski getting the false description about how he died.
Hansen (1st clip in yellow) suffered a back injury which puts him out an undisclosed period of time. Thomsen (4th clip) had a concussion, 4 broken ribs and a broken left hand which caused him to miss the last 2 months of the season for the second season running. Zengota (6th clip in white) broke his collarbone, but was back within 2 months and Trofimov (last clip in white) broke his right hand.
Did you tried to use Polish in title or just my RUclips translate your title? Then you should write "Żużel wypadki", because we call Speedway "żużel" and crashes is "wypadki"

Those air fences are brilliant….literally save lives
Peter craven… If only if only
I think I would rather fight in the colosseum back in the day rather than race here
There is also ice speedway where the bikes have steel spikes on their tyres
Against Tigers? No way!
I am genuinely, and pleasantly surprised to see this. Speedway racing is a whole new level of insanity and it doesn’t get nearly enough credit imo
Polish is such a cool language.
didnt know my national sport would land on THIS channel cheers
You an Australian?
:)
@@mick9371I would say Polish if I was to take a guess
National sport in Poland is football/soccer. Not speedway
@@Mighty.Titan1I would sat that there are a few National sports in Poland. These are of course football, but also ski jumping, volleyball, track and field and speedway.
This type of racing seems like a consistent recipe for disaster. o_o
It's one of the most injury prone sports out there

I watched a few of these races in Sweden. Some of the most exciting motorcycle racing I've ever seen. Good times!!
I have never seen so much "nope" before! 😂

How are these people always alright? The crashes look brutal, yet they walk away! Amazing!
The worst speedway crash I’ve seen is the one where the stairway is literally in the fuckin racecourse
The rider was killed in that crash.
horrific that. you see the blood splatter on the wall
no surprise @@russskinner

I am genuiely suprsised, like in a positive way, to find out that you also upload speedway crashes. I wintessed 2 of them live btw
in before its age restricted
This type of motorcycle racing is super dangerous because these bikes have no brakes.
How often do fans get hurt from flying bikes?
as often as Nascar tires fly away from cars and fly over the fans
@@deltazero3796 ok bud
Very, very rarely. The three most recent non-rider fatalities were recorded in 1958, 1985 and 2003.
In which crashes were riders injured

@@Dolek135 Thank you my anxiety couldn’t handle not knowing if they’re alright
1st Romanian or polish?
It's Polish, as are most clips

love your videos man

Do you call it "Żużel" because of the sound?
@@utvpoop Because of the surface they used to race on. żużel in English is slag
@@Martek127 ok, I get it. The closest word I xan find in Russia is "жижа" (żyża) which is "liquid dirt"
Poor devils.
Don't know what they are saying? Think they are talking bout a restaurant they visited that got the really really exited
Nie wiedziałem że jesteś Polakiem :b
How about Zbigniew Raniszwenski in 1955
1956!
Yeah, I sure wonder why that isn't in a video containing the worst speedway crashes of 2023
