Its almost 5am on a Saturday here in Chicago and I woke up searchin to hear this song. “You like the beer Kane dropped in Menace, 40 and broke!” Baahahahaha its over right there! I remember I was 19 or 20 listening to this for the first time on Sirius XM in the Intrepid. I wasn’t and still not really a Jay Z fan…I like some of his old stuff..but I listened to State Property and Diplomats..Cam and Juelz mosty…heavy at this time. During this time period all these dudes were on top of the world. Its a damn shame that it crumbled and reincarnated into some BS. Hip hop/Rap music in general changed big time after this. I don’t care what anyone says, rap music the last 10-15 years is corny. I don’t even try to listen to it. The Roc a fella downfall closed a lot of windows for a bunch of different reasons. I can talk about this all day. This era was a good time to be 19-20 imo.
