Still wondering to this day how Jay Z got a pass for this. Hes lucky social media didn't start really kicking up this decade, if not he would be out of a career.
Oddly enough, I remember looking at a video a long time ago where Cam himself stole lyrics from other rappers as well. Not as much as Jay Z, but a lot none the less. So......hypocrisy some what.....
he's from new york and he's mainstream, anything out of ny will be a bit overrated, if derek jeter had been a texas ranger or a baltimore oriole, no one would have given 2 s**** about him.
A lot of people don't know what real is. When people not where they want to be they will accept anything they think looks better. I'm not riding nobody's 🥒ever I don't care how rich you are let alone how rich you look💪💯
i understand using classic lines in your songs i hear it all the time with rappers. but damn jay-z kinda over did it. that was too many references. so yeah i do consider it biting.
He didn't have to do it, that's the problem. Wait till they get to flows and beats stolen, most times putting it out right before the artists releases. That along with blackballing them via radio, DJs and if necessary, signing them to shelve them, if competition. BTW, we didn't go for this back then, period.
I come from the era where you didn't even pay Homage, you just played the song and sang along if you liked it, not where you find a way to say it too or try to flip it, that's biting or in the very least that's lazy writing, those 2 things weren't allowed back then. I'm getting old!! Now all I hear on the radio is sampled beats and choruses, and a few classic lines being repeated, just heard Tyga lame as s recycling I get around by Tupac 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
That first example from Biggie that he used on "I just wanna love u" is FOUR ENTIRE BARS, lol.. like damn, how are you going to just use four entire measures of music/lyrics from someone else's work and think it's okay or cool
I suppose it is based on sampling to a significant extent but it seems like that's been more evident in the beats that some producers have made, and nothing beats originality to me... Personally I'd be okay with 1 or 2 bars at the most (I guess), but for entire measures of lyrics seems a bit much... and it's funny how they were the best 4 bars of that verse, lol
+Brian Burton Lol using a line or two from a rapper or two or using a beat or something that's cool but if you think this is acceptable using ALL THESE LINES from ALL THESE OTHER RAPPERS then you're fooling yourself saying you're not a Jay-Z fan... This is unacceptable smh
You have to understand something my friend while I'm not a Jay-Z Fan specifically I'm not a hater either I'm more or less neutral if he puts out a good song then I'll listen but I'm not loyal to him nor do I dislike him all that much.. My point was those other rappers you named may have used a line or two in a song or made reference to them here and there but can any of them (and they all had beef at one point or another with someone) have another MC come and make an almost 8 minute recording of them using other rappers lines? and not just one or two or three rappers but MULTIPLE.. East coast and West coast MC's? I have yet to see it. If you wanna use a recording of them doing a hook or use another person's song as a cover that's understandable but to use other people Lines like 4 or 5 lines or pretty much a whole verse (as shown with Jay-Z's The Rulers back and that Slick Rick's bars he used) It's pretty hard to call that paying homage and not just biting... A few times in one or two songs can be called Tribute or Homage but THAT many times in THAT many different songs... ehh.....
I'm gonna say that I have been with rap since it first started & will always remember it for it's originality & competiveness in who could deliver the best beats & the freshest rhymes. Rappers NEVER bit or "PAID HOMAGE" to someone by saing their rhymes. You know why? Cuz that shit was considered the ultimate sin in rap. You gave props by saying it on the back of your album cover or on your last song. Other rappers ate you up if you stole someone else rhymes. This is straight biting. Period!!

You could lose your whole rep/credibility because of it. I was a battle rapper, you would get literally booed off stage or even worse.
And you Jay Z stans will proclaim as the greatest of all time when he only has two albums considered classics despite releasing his 1st album 18 years ago and releasing like 15 of em. 15 albums and he still hasn't sold at least 50 million world wide. Tupac and Eminem both surpass his ass and Pac hasn't released anything in 8 years while Eminem doesn't even have half of the albums that Jay Z has. He's supposed to be the greatest but he got killed on songs by Eminem(when he was supposed to be at his peak in 01), Rick Ross, Kanye, and even fucking Nicki Minaj. He's only lasted so long because he refuses to stop rapping or take a break. By the time he released his second album, Biggie and Pac were both dead, Nas had fallen off, and the biggest rap star at the time was fucking Mase and Puff Daddy. He had no competition at all. Then in 98 and 99 DMX and Eminem took over and sold like crazy. Same with 00 when Em sold 1.7 in not even a week. Even fucking Nelly sold more with Country Grammar. In fact, Nelly's first two albums have sold more than any of Jay's albums have. Ja Rule's Pain is Love sold more than the Blueprint. Jay's so called best album STILL hasn't sniffed 3 million. His only album that has succeeded 5 million was garbage ass Vol 2 . The one album that he made for the radio didn't even move 1.5 million. And that's yall goat? He gets his dick sucked for The Blueprint cause he used speed up soul beats? He didn't rap about anything that he hadn't been rapping about since Vol 1. His so called comeback album didn't even move 2 million. He showed us with MCHG that he isn't even trying anymore. He's just releasing an album because he can. He's supposed to be the greatest but the only year since 96 that he was truly the best was 2001 and that's cause Eminem and DMX were busy filming and his only competition that year was fucking Nelly and Ja Rule. He doesn't even rap about anything serious anymore. He just brags about what expensive shit he has or what famous person he knows. A fucking 44 year old man still rapping like he's never had shit despite being rich and famous for nearly fucking 20 years. Yea, he's brag about making suits cool in rap but he still dresses like men half his age. He's always quick to talk about how he's the head of the label but he doesn't promote anyone. He doesn't even show J. Cole love despite Cole being aruguably the best rapper in the game. He doesn't even give Kanye props anymore. He's too busy sucking off Justin Timberlake. Went from kissing Drake's ass in 09 to trying to diss him in 2014. Jay is simply the product of knowing the right people at the right time, luck, and lasting long by never ever fucking going away. DMX's run from 98-01 is greater than anything Jay will ever do.
Thank you. You couldn't be more right. This is 100% true. If Jay-Z's career started in he social media era it would've ended quickly. Now that he has money all the Jay-Z's stans ride his Dick and proclaim him the GOAT. They make excuses for why he steals so many bars. It's sad. The new generation just doesn't get it.
He missed one. In that same song ("Some People Hate"), Jay also bit Pac (Ambitionz Az a Ridah) word-for-word "... born rough and rugged, addressing the mass public, my attitude was "fuck it", cause muthafuckas love it" .... Oh and let's not forget his word-for-word biting of Eminem in "Success."
This was done before 'Success' came out, that's why it wasn't included. American Gangster came out in late 2007, this was done around 2005/6 or something.
DuckinNDodgin he built his legacy in the first half of the 00s on the back of bitten rhymes. Not just a line here and there but whole bars! If Biggie never died lol
I was a big Jay-Z when I was younger. But the older I got, the more I started to realize this dude is not a true artist. Not like 2Pac, Big or NaS. When those three make songs you really feel what they saying.
I was a big Z-Ro fan when I was younger.. got older and got exposed to older music and found out all the stuff that I liked came from other ppl as well.. needless to say I stopped fw him instantly, just can't enjoy it anymore even after 10 years
This was epic when it came out but Cam left out so much lol Jay Z’s “Bonnie & Clyde” is literally 2Pac’s “Me And My Girlfriend” 😂😂😂 Imagine if Cameron got every single line that Jay took from somebody else, this would’ve been way longer
M Cotman u not understanding cams shit dont make it wack . im not backing up cam . the number of plays speak for it self . plus if social media was as active as it is now . the views on cams music .including dipset n diplomats would all have doubled or tripled with out a dought . next time u decide to comment on shit . think first . its always good to analyze what you are about to say or write . unless you want other to think your just 99 cent short of a buck
He didn't just jack lyrics, he jacked the EXACT SAME FLOW AND CADENCE as the original rapper. He wasn't even creative enough to change up the stolen lyrics and make it his own. Just copied and pasted them onto a different beat.
Jay Z is no question a dope MC, but he's also the most overrated rapper of all time. The guy isn't #1, top 3 or top 5. Honestly, I don't think he's even in the top 10. He's somewhere in the high teens of the top 20.
There’s a line that Lil Wayne has, its on Tha Carter 3. He quotes Kanye, but in the next verse gives his props. That’s how an artist does it. Jay Z and his shady ass. 🙄
This just validate my point nas always been a better mc than jay but he don't get that respect because of jay z wealth & business ventures so people base who is better off that which is bullshit to me
I knew he robbed a lotta shit from BIG but damn!!! He had complete word for word bars....and not even as a salute to BIG......just straight Swagger Jacking. People need to stop naming JayZ in the top 3 rappers list. This alone pushes him way back. Jay Z give me back my 16$, I'll send it to Mrs. Wallace
And I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more than this lmao 😂 Jay the most overrated rapper in history or at least one of them lol you can’t be the best if you’re stealing shit.
To put things into perspective for everybody, this diss came out in summer 2006 on Killa Season. Jay's latest album at the time was in 2003 (or the 2 R. Kelly collab albums if you want to count that) The Black Album. Jay puts out Kingdom Come fall 2006 then doesn't even put out much between 2003 and 2013. I remember when this came out that summer. Not a lot of fans left after this who were keeping up with music before social media. Myspace was kinda catching on but it was weird to sit in front of a computer and just post about yourself even though the age search feature of Myspace was fun. Nobody really had Internet on their phones either, that was fun too because you had to socialize with real people to see funny shit you all would laugh about later on recalling the story.
Eminem- "I used to give a fuck, now I give a fuckless What do I think of success?... it sucks, too much stress." (Im' Back) Jay-Z- "I used to give a fuck, now I give a fuck less What do I think of success?... it sucks, too much stress" (Success)
some other jacks: - 99 problems is a Ice-t cover - ignorant shit bites master p's hootie hoo ("bitch get off me") - 'kingdom come' bites ja rule's new york - he stole 'no hook' (off AG) from the dream - jigga that nigga (blueprint) bites a snoop song - jockin jay z jocks 'run's house' - lost one is just like 'lost ones by lauryn hill - krs already had an album called blueprint - success off AG bites Eminem - reused his own lyrics on 'streets is talking'
this is just scratching the surface. i know mc's use lines from old school mc's that came before them but jay takes lines from snoop, Nas, 2pac and Eminem who are his peers.
"How many biggies rhymes gonna come out ya fat lips?"Lol.

Thank you.
Thank you. You couldn't be more right. This is 100% true. If Jay-Z's career started in he social media era it would've ended quickly. Now that he has money all the Jay-Z's stans ride his Dick and proclaim him the GOAT. They make excuses for why he steals so many bars. It's sad. The new generation just doesn't get it.
lsufa nope Lloyd Banks is
lsufa Straight facts homie.
lsufa Jay won't promote anyone on his label because he doesn't want them to possibly surpass him. He's very insecure despite all the success!
He missed one. In that same song ("Some People Hate"), Jay also bit Pac (Ambitionz Az a Ridah) word-for-word "... born rough and rugged, addressing the mass public, my attitude was "fuck it", cause muthafuckas love it" .... Oh and let's not forget his word-for-word biting of Eminem in "Success."
yep what a joke
gmn545 facts
This was done before 'Success' came out, that's why it wasn't included. American Gangster came out in late 2007, this was done around 2005/6 or something.
MrVIP1993 this came out in Jan 2006 boy
He was referencing Pac on "Some People Hating" though.
Forgot "99 Problems". That was an Ice-T song first
He also stole lyrics from snoop, rakim, daz, kurupt, doc, Scarface, Cbo, yukmouth, big L, and so on….
Yall hilarious
Tupac too
He stole so much from Biggie, damn!!!!!!!!
for real
Pac would be very pissed
Snoop called him out in 2 Pac resurrection stop taking Pac songs even when he didn't even like you SMFH
DuckinNDodgin so much its pathetic
DuckinNDodgin he built his legacy in the first half of the 00s on the back of bitten rhymes. Not just a line here and there but whole bars! If Biggie never died lol
I was a big Jay-Z when I was younger. But the older I got, the more I started to realize this dude is not a true artist. Not like 2Pac, Big or NaS. When those three make songs you really feel what they saying.
Jay-Z was lazy he didn't wanna write so he resorted to biting
Or Cam
I was a big Z-Ro fan when I was younger.. got older and got exposed to older music and found out all the stuff that I liked came from other ppl as well.. needless to say I stopped fw him instantly, just can't enjoy it anymore even after 10 years
@Poppa_Silky_Paper who he bite?
Many people take shots at Jay-Z but this is probably the most affective diss track out of them all. Very clever this.
Cam won the rap beef clearly but it gets overlooked some how
Played this for a jayz fan and he had a breakdown lol
CreepinOutDaZiploc LMAO!! I'm definitely doing that.
CreepinOutDaZiploc jay z fans dont like this shit
CreepinOutDaZiploc 😂😂😂😂😂
Me too years ago
All his fans are sheeple, obviously!!!! 🐑😵
5:14 "You been swagger jackin since 87" lmaaaoo
LMFAO
The crazy part is the Rakim line was from 86. So he really been swagger jacking from 86.
stealin shit from james brown in '66 lmao....😂😂😂💀💀💀
IronReef77 jay z went all the way back to slick rick in early 80's
😂😂😂😂
I was lucky enough to hear the debut of this live over Sirius on Kay Slay's show a decade ago; still one of the best diss tracks of all time
Greatest
R.i.P Dj Kay Slay 🕊🙏
This was epic when it came out but Cam left out so much lol Jay Z’s “Bonnie & Clyde” is literally 2Pac’s “Me And My Girlfriend” 😂😂😂 Imagine if Cameron got every single line that Jay took from somebody else, this would’ve been way longer
FAX LOL
Someone needs to do a version of drake biting lines lmao
Mannnnnnnnnnn
He can't bite coz it's Ghost written
All the females will dislike it
Fuck it I'll make one
Reading this in 2024
This needs to be re released... Jay was fraudin it hard, Dayyyyum!
"You hit a whole bunch of home runs... and you on steroids!" LMAO Cam is the shit
Cam'ron killed Jay Z
NaS killed Jay Z
50 Cent killed Jay Z
Jadakiss killed Jay Z
Game killed Jay Z
Beanie Sigel killed Jay Z
Killa Cam em murdered him on his own song
Cam'ron wack don't put that wack dude on the list game too be for real.
Killa Cam that means jay is really a cat (pussy)and also means ge still got 3 lifes left lol . if it happens again im the one who called it ☝
M Cotman u not understanding cams shit dont make it wack . im not backing up cam . the number of plays speak for it self . plus if social media was as active as it is now . the views on cams music .including dipset n diplomats would all have doubled or tripled with out a dought . next time u decide to comment on shit . think first . its always good to analyze what you are about to say or write . unless you want other to think your just 99 cent short of a buck
But Jay Z still alive
Dudes been hitting cntrl + c since '87 😢
LMFAOOO
why has this been hidden away like this? this is the biggest destruction of an MC in hip hop history. cant believe some still consider jay z the goat
Social media wasn't big that's why but cam destroyed jayz
This was like an extension of Nas' Ether line "How much of Biggie's rhymes is going to come out your fat lips?"
just listen to ether and came here to listen to this lol
@@KingReddSweets9000 check out "gotta love it" by cam also
These 3 tracks together paint a good picture 🖼️
“How much of Biggie's rhymes is gon' come out your fat lips?” -Nas
He didn't just jack lyrics, he jacked the EXACT SAME FLOW AND CADENCE as the original rapper. He wasn't even creative enough to change up the stolen lyrics and make it his own. Just copied and pasted them onto a different beat.
Have you heard jay z original flow? It was terrible he had to steal 😂
Jay Z is no question a dope MC, but he's also the most overrated rapper of all time. The guy isn't #1, top 3 or top 5. Honestly, I don't think he's even in the top 10. He's somewhere in the high teens of the top 20.
love how he claims his biting is "paying homage" but been dissing jaz-o(the dude who brought him into the game) years on end
MITCHELL ALVAREZ Jay most definitely didn't bring cam into anything
StangGang418w ??? i never said he did.
Biggie signed him. He's been on a Major Label since 95.
There’s a line that Lil Wayne has, its on Tha Carter 3. He quotes Kanye, but in the next verse gives his props. That’s how an artist does it. Jay Z and his shady ass. 🙄
Right he fake for that
This just validate my point nas always been a better mc than jay but he don't get that respect because of jay z wealth & business ventures so people base who is better off that which is bullshit to me
+skyizdalimit6539 catalogue for catalogue Jay-Z > Nas
+Frank Maphoto
how when he's not dropping his own verses
Oh no Jay-Z references his favorite artists and friend.
ihategoogle
Bites
ihategoogle
they ain't friends
“Ain’t no more to steal from BIG, goddamn!” 😂😂😂
LMFAO
LET'S MOVE ON TO THE NEXT ARTIST 😂😂😂😂😂
Cam killed Jay z in this rap beef but nobody talks about it..I guess cause social media wasn't big then
Hov was always the biggest fraud in rap history only liked a couple of his songs and that was it 🤷♀️
The apple bite noise kills me 😂😂😂
😂😂
Never thought I would say Jay-Z bit a line from a Shaq song lol
+662chillin LMAOOOOO!
Lmfaoooo
Nah. Jay-Z bit a line from Biggie off of Shaq's song.
Yea biggies Line and that song was classic biggie verse was sick
😂😂😂
Jay lucky this shit came out before ssocial media got big lmfao
Yeah twitter would’ve went viral but this isn’t as bad as Drake tho
"Hol up hol up. Tupac aint even like yo ass, B!"
Lol@ stealing from James brown in '66!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 wow... well? He DID say he's not a writer he's a biter😂😂😂😂😂
Notorious B.I.G 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Drake stole Jay Z blueprint and is doing the exact same thing Jay was doing back then lmao
Nah he had a ghostwriter he paid jay z blatantly stealing from legends 😂 yall gay z niggas gotta stop
Wallace
Jay stole a Philly rappers song and concept he used it for "All I Need " Big Facts he's been doing this more often than you know
What’s the song he stole? Who the rapper?
Spittage
the black album was Biggie's idea, but Jay even stole that kmsl
its technically biting the beatles white album.
And I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more than this lmao 😂 Jay the most overrated rapper in history or at least one of them lol you can’t be the best if you’re stealing shit.
Jay hung around with Biggie And Big L. He stole a lot and learned at the same time
KJEdward Cooke he killed big l and sold his soul
It was talked about on RUclips in 06 when there was no comment censorship.
Eminem- "I used to give a fuck, now I give a fuckless
What do I think of success?... it sucks, too much stress." (Im' Back)
Jay-Z- "I used to give a fuck, now I give a fuck less
What do I think of success?... it sucks, too much stress" (Success)
Here, before everyone remembers this track. Jay-Z's time to get exposed is almost here.
Who’s here 2024
Who hear after seeing drake exposed 😂
cam got his ass on this shit
Jay lucky social media wasn’t around 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
some other jacks:
- 99 problems is a Ice-t cover
- ignorant shit bites master p's hootie hoo ("bitch get off me")
- 'kingdom come' bites ja rule's new york
- he stole 'no hook' (off AG) from the dream
- jigga that nigga (blueprint) bites a snoop song
- jockin jay z jocks 'run's house'
- lost one is just like 'lost ones by lauryn hill
- krs already had an album called blueprint
- success off AG bites Eminem
- reused his own lyrics on 'streets is talking'
How ironic is it that he said everybody wants to sound like him, while using a stolen line to do so? How does that make sense?
Simple, be sneaky and don't get caught and you get away with it, especially when you have a lot of blind following fanboys to back you up.
any real hip hop head should own a copy of the great adventures of slick rick.
Lost all my respect
He even stole 99 problems from ice t lol
Damn i know he took some shit i aint knw he took that damn much
this is just scratching the surface. i know mc's use lines from old school mc's that came before them but jay takes lines from snoop, Nas, 2pac and Eminem who are his peers.
L1am21 Nigga please he not a writer he a biter
@@L1am21 He used a line from Nas in 2003 when they was still beefin
I've been looking for this for years! 😅😭😭😭😭😅 Still funny AF!
It is he got Jay-Z on this
This is the problem when you don't write your rhymes down on paper, when you don't sit down with a pen and a pad and think through your shit...
Jay-Z prob still like, Damn, I KNOW I came up with those lines...didn't I?!?!
Every time that biting sound effect comes on I lol
I remember being in class in HS listening to this and thought that Jay was done for good!! That flip from writer to biter gave me the chills back..
