Hi again, Ok, just found this video too. Thank you! I have read, listened to and research many channels and no one has shared a dissection of the SMCI situation and the Hindenburg report, as you have. I even watched when the story broke on Bloomberg TV, and heard Doolittle say that the Hindenburg report was mostly old news from 2022.... wow. Are the recent sources you sited in this video all or mostly from the Hindenburg Report? Wish I bought Dell, I was looking for a direct play.
Glad you found it interesting! So most of the information is either directly from the report or from the sources that were linked in the report. Well, I wish I bought Dell too, but my conscience is clear on everything that happened on this trade - with the information I had at the time (and that was publicly available), SMCI was looking as an interesting AI infrastructure play.
@TheMarketMonkeys I exited all SMCI position today. my conscious is clear. It will be interesting to see their updated quarterly report and future media reports on SMCI
This was super great and has probably put me off buying SMCI, I was kinda close trying to catch it at $30... maybe I'll reduce the amount I purchase dramatically because of this video! Thank you!
Look, it doesn’t mean their stock is going to zero - if nothing bad happens (sanctions, lawsuits, charges by SEC) they are one good quarter away from everyone forgetting the whole thing. The question is - would you bet that none of the “bad things” I’ve listed above happens?
The Iranian ( Russia?) (Hong Kong?) selling is a deal breaker. We are talking about, liberty, lives and brutal torture. Has any other competitor been cited for this ? Is this in the original SEC 2022 findings? Why would they hire these guys back?
It was a pretty big hit. The question is could I have avoided it? And unfortunately is answer is not really. That’s why Hindenburg is the whole investigative company - they can find things that regular investors just can’t

So glad I watched this video few weeks ago and not today. Outstanding analysis and today EY is starting to uncover the reality!
To be honest, I was waiting for this day. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you for the kind words! Glad we were helpful!
Very interesting, thank you for sharing such a deep dive, do you see any scenario where SMCI could turn things around, or is the damage too extensive?

I think they will. They'd need to pull off something extraordinary to maneuver around the issue
I mean yesterday finally we’ve heard from the CEO, but he didn’t see anything concrete. Let’s see when will they publish the yearly report

Sorry, missed your comment. So the DOJ started digging but I’m not sure this is for selling under sanctions (it’s for accounting stuff)
I hope you didn't lose too much... Scams are becoming more and more virtuosic now, you have to be careful especially when it comes to investments

Maybe we should ask if they were looking?
Yeah, maybe :)
