This was a great tutorial but when I was done I still did not have the option to add my bt headphones.
For all who do NOT see the BT audio option in the Audio menu after enabling the support in the Hidden Menu: not all Samsung series TVs have the BT hardware embedded, this depends on the series. While the firmware might show the option to enable it (the same firmware is often shared between many different models) it does not necessarily mean your model has it physically built in. If you enable BT support, turn off the TV and back on again and enter the hidden menu and do NOT see any BT hardware address (MAC) the hardware is not present on the TV. M series have BT hardware and you can enable it, K series do not (at least not the base models) for example.

Thanks for your videos. I am able in my Samsung UN65H6300 to add the option for audio Bluetooth devices but can not find any devices at all. I called Samsung and they were not very helpful by telling me I need a Bluetooth adapter which is not logical when the tv is supposed to have the adapter already.
I watched your video but in my case I have j5200 I switched on both the bt but still when I go to speaker settings I only have tv sound out put and tv speaker settings .

EXCELLENT video. My Samsung TV (MU6290) stated no Bluetooth at all being supported. 'Mute 182 Power' and two quick changes to the engineering menu and BlueTooth came alive. That means a lot more options. Thanks so much for an excellent and useful piece of information.

hi; something is strange because i see that only the F series have this problem; if we want to have success we have to contact all, Samsung and make pressure with messages; something is wrong not letting the F series users to enjoy they er TV's. Hi I have a Samsung Smart TV Model: UA40ES6200MXXY bought in January 2013 and I wanted to know if it has BT-HID so I had a chat with a Samsung Support guy and he told me All Samsung TVs made before 2013 do not support bluetooth audio devices the Bluetooth for the TV is only for the keyboard and mouse it will not detect audio devices.
When I check under option menu I don't have Engineer option to change bluetooth settings.
I have another option Expert but its greyed out and also Advanced option which does nothing when selected.
Is it true that the bluetooth for this TV only works for keyboard and mouse?
I just bought a converter that connects to toslink and converts from digital to analog so I can connect my analog headphones. I hope that will work.

mine works well with samsung soundbar wirelessly, so the smart tv have the BT. i got all the said secret menu but the only thing missing in it is 'bluetooth headphone' list at the speaker setting, what i have in is

What I can't see is a BT support option. I have a UE40F8090. Is there any other way to activate this? Have also written Samsung about this.

Hi, i have this series: UE43J5500. And to what i have seen online it does seem that my tv has Bluetooth, and in the engineer settings the BT is ON, but when i go to the MRT, it doesn't have BT Support, it only has BT address. Help anyone?

What a lifesaver this video was.... after a factory reset there was no bluetooth option in the sound settings (though BT worked because I had a BT keyboard attached). Just had to enable it and am now using my soundbar via BT. Thanks a lot!

Works good....i have the UE55H6470 this TV is 3 years old now and in Standard setting the "BT Audio On/Off" was turned off so it has to be on too. Thanks a lot... now I can connect with all BT headphones.

Hi Many thanks for this amazing workaround, but sadly not working on my tv (UE55F8000 about 2-3 years old) Both menu items show BT on - and a third one under Debug is also on. The Support page shows a bluetooth MAC address and I normally use a Samsung sound bar via, I think BT, or would that be SoundShare?.
Either way my new Sony MDR-ZX770 phones won't pair.
Maybe older sets didn't allow pairing unless Samsung Airtrack or whatever their own system is?

Didn't work for me. I have a UN50H6350 Samsung smart tv. The bluetooth headphone list option appeared on the menu. When you click on it, it says no device found for every blue tooth device I put in front of it.

I've watched both your videos which were really useful and tried to offer a great tip.
Unfortunately, after wading through both the options of secret menu, it turns out the service is available only for Samsung headphones and not others. The relevant window explicitly asks for this.
I think this was a selfish attempt by the Samsung to limit the interface to their devices only. Cheers.

And, unfortunately, even after trying the solution in this video I couldn't sort it as there is no BT Support option in my TV service menu. May be its just my model Samsung UA55F8000AR

Hello. I have model UE55H6400 and it works! But I have one serious problem: My bluetooth earbuds do not have volume control, and as soon as I connect the TV the volume control on the remote is disabled. So I end up listening to maximum volume which is impossible. Is there any way to enable volume control on the remote while listening on bluetooth?

Hi. Make sure your tv has BT HID inside. Bluetooth hardware in your samsung tv specs
While the method for accessing the "secret service menu" on my Samsung TV was different than yours (a brief internet search revealed the correct method) the outcome was as you described, enabled bluetooth without buying a bluetooth receiver/transmitter. I do notice on live local TV there is some latency lag but on most all other channels little to no lag. THANKS!!

Love your work. I have a 55ES8000 TV. Once I get in to the service menu, I dont have an "Engineering" Menu option How ever I can find the BT setting in the SVC menu. everything is turned on but I cant get the BT headphones menu in the TV menu. The TV definitely has a BT module as the TV smart remote and keyboard connects via bluetooth. Any ideas how I can still connect a BT speaker to the TV ??

Thank you for the useful video. I too have an F series Samsung TV (UE46F6670) which is on the latest firmware. I went through the process of enabling the BT options within the Engineering menu and discovered that it still had no Bluetooth Headphones menu. I contacted Samsung support as suggested and they said "please be advised that your television model is not compatible with a bluetooth headphones. Bluetooth headphone capability was introduced on a 2015 television model up to now". I replied stating that BT is present and enabled and asked if it was a limitation of the software as the hardware was there and got back "Please be informed that the firmware or software cannot make any changes on the functions and features on a certain TV model, but it will help in fixing any issue encountered and in enhancing the performance of the TV. Since the Bluetooth headphone connection is not applicable, we can recommend using the wired headphone connection instead for the model of your TV." :(

i know its a year on, im facing this issue now, cause need headphones, i see you can now get a device that plugs into the optical out of your tv, it converts that signal to bluetooth, you then pair with that device, you need volume controls on the headphones, if that helps. im searching that option out now.

However, when she turns off the TV and headphones and then turns them on, they do not automatically connect.

Sorry. Perhaps I wasn't clear.
I paired the headphones and they then connected. However, if I turn off the TV and the headphones and then later turn them both back on, I have to go through the whole connect process again - impossible for my elderly mother to do.
Is there some way to avoid this please? That is, if you turn on the TV and the headphones they find each other and connect automatically (as an iPhone would do)?

Brilliant....but a small side effect since only enabling the BT audio setting. The picture reverts to Dynamic with 100% contrast and every time we turn the TV on we get the browser/smart hub offering in the bottom left of the screen.

I have watched both your videos, great stuff but I still cant get it to work. I have a Series 7 TV Model: UA46F7100AMXXY which has BT enabled for keyboard.
I have tuned on the BT as per the fist video and been into setting listed in this video but still cant fins headphones in the normal menu. Any ideas?

My model is SAMUE55JU6510 but i tried to connect my Sony sistem but it doesn't work. In Bt Support isee a strange number 14:55etc and in option BT in on, are there other parameters than i can change?

I did all the steps and it partially worked! But I my sound settings on menu only show blue tooth headphone list and the menus for tv connect. -samsung audio device - add new device and multi room link are not active( greyed out) and not available and blue tooth headphone list is empty and won't refresh, any suggestions? My tv is a Samsung 65 series H6350, thanks for any help you or anyone may offer!
