Good to know... For me at least it wouldn't make any difference because just like typing on the keyboard as I am right now I can still only use two fingers to do it... Lol 🤣
Hey sorry for the late response but unfortunately I'm not sure.. mine just seemed to align the first time I tried. Maybe try checking your room setup and floor height? I know it's a stretch but sometimes if the room scan is slightly off it might cause issues like that.
I was not a big fan of the virtual keyboard. It’s just not a good keyboard experience. Of course it isn’t you’re literally tapping on a table. Plugging a mini keyboard, directly into the quest 3 is a totally different experience and actually pretty amazing. Should make an updated video if you get a mini keyboard and plug it in to the quest.
@@vrgamerdude yeah for anyone thinking about buying one without a keyboard don’t waste your money. Unless you’re ok paying 10$ bucks just to do basically what was done in the video.😄. Also, make sure you have a mid to USB-C plug. Most older midi keyboards come with midi to USB. The developers really thought ahead with a lot of the things they added in this application. It’s very impressive if you have the hardware to make it shine
@@Puppetsinmyhead hey do you really recommend having real keys? I've get quest 3 thinking about learning how to play a piano and i did try playing on virtual keyboard which made me disappointed. Does app recognize key has been pushed by recognizing fingers or it gets info straight from electronic piano? Thanks in advice
@@Puppetsinmyheadgood to know, thank you. Any recommendations on midi keyboards that will work well with the Quest 3? Complete beginner so not sure if I should be looking for a certain size/brand etc (other than usb-c as you already advised 😊)
@@ASAP_ONIONit should recognize the keys being pressed from the keyboard from the in and out of the midi connector. I use it for a computer program learn piano.
I'm sure if you had it overlaid over a correct keyboard it would be much better.. also I figured out that the numbers are the fingers that you're supposed to use. I am in no way a piano player but just wanted to share this because I thought it was a really cool use case for those who are or who want to learn.
Did you really think you could learn to play piano in 10 minutes. I'm going to get the quest 3 just for this as I've been thinking about teaching myself to play anyway. While having a waifu dance in the background. What I don't understand about real pianos is why they make the keys all white/black. Its like they're trying to make learning harder. Each key should be color coded or something.
@@vrgamerdude I won't be getting the Quest 3 till Christmas at least. I want to see what problems develop over the next few months. I'm really concerned about that battery life. Batteries also lose their capacity as they age.
@@RobertA-hq3vz yeah I can already tell you the battery life is horrible... You're definitely going to want some sort of a battery strap or perhaps look for a cool body-worn battery system from Prism XR that I will be reviewing on the channel next week. When recording and playing I literally get exactly one and a half hours of use out of the headset before it is completely dead when just playing right at 2 hours if I'm lucky.
@@vrgamerdude Thanks. Does the Quest3 draw power from the link cable when its connected as in PCVR? or does its still run out of power in 90-120 minutes.
@@RobertA-hq3vz I haven't tried the Link cable yet because the latest update to virtual desktop is amazing... If you have a good router Its hard to tell the difference from being wired anymore!
VR-Rock have not been responding to any of my emails. I asked them for further explanation on installing those bottom plates with the magnets installed. It kind of looks like they might be using some kind of adhesive but I'm not sure. I asked if they had a pdf manual download so I can see how to install those two bottom plates with the magnets installed but for whatever reason they will not respond to any of my emails. I ordered my prescription lenses over a month now and have yet to hear from them. I just wish I could cancel my order but it looks like I won't be able to. :(
Huh they're usually pretty responsive... Have you tried messaging them on Facebook or Twitter? I find that's a great way to get ahold of companies these days... As for the lens installation I have a set on the way for review so I will make sure to do a pretty thorough section on how to install the lenses so stay tuned! (≡)-)
"Have you tried messaging them on Facebook or Twitter?" No not yet, I chatted with them several weeks ago and they told me only to use email. If you look carefully at their posted video it does not show how to install those two bottom hold down plates. Maybe they just clip in, I hope, but why won't they show how to install them, hmm it's a mistery. Thank you for your concern in this matter and I will await your review of these prescription lenses. Yes, I will stay tuned, Dave.@@vrgamerdude
There’s no way I’d play mixed reality on this. The pass through is absolute dog. Sooo bad. Turn this video to 480p maybe even 360p And I promise you that’s how bad it looks in real life. Even when I take a screenshot or video it looks 10000x better like in reviews. That’s dirty as hell. Meta is clearly doing something shady. Trust me you’ll be so disappointed. You wouldn’t wanna play games that’s a for sure. As for using it to quickly say talk to someone or if someone wants to show you something, sure. That’s it. Can you read phone messages? Only just. With a tun of holding it up down close far adjustment. Man I’m disappointed. And you will be too.
Not disappointed at all and loving... You're expecting too much at this stage as mixed reality is kind of where we were now back in the DK2 days. There are many people enjoying it too bad you're not one of them. (≡)-(
The numbers on the colors signify which finger to use. One is the thumb two is index finger and so on and so forth.

@vrgamerdude LOL. Hopefully my comment helps one of your many subscribers.
My keys always seem a little off no matter what i do with the adjuster. When you confirm the edge is it the last key or the edge of the piano ?

it is cool but i feel like this doesn't promote correct use of the fingers which may bite you in the back when you get more advanced.
The app gives you finger numbers to use which aligns you into the direction of correct technique.

This could get modded like rock smith for a abundance of songs, think about all the Game of Thrones songs that could be playable down the road.
Now that would be awesome.. Love the game of thrones soundtrack!
