To give one bit of feedback, I think it would help if there was a map showing movements or abilities that were used rather than just a description of what happened. It's a bit hard for me to follow what is going on without a reference and I think it would be useful for someone who might be thinking of getting into the game to see how it would play out.

Hi! I was the New Antioch this game. I just want to say that Scanner was very cordial and gentlemanly opponent. We had blast over TableTop Sim fighting it out for Crete. My Prussian Troopers will have their day soon enough!
Dude more. Love hearing how the heretic forces interact with each other. So weird thinking about a dude holding his own head conversing with their commander.
Honestly I haven’t heard ANY channel from any war game give a completely narrative recount of actual play like this i would not have thought I’d enjoy this as much as I did. Genuinely more interesting than some of the live games of TC I’ve seen.
For the love of all that is holy, or unholy, I don't judge, please keep doing these kinds of videos. Having a huge love for the lore, videos like these are right up my alley. I don't have the resources to participate in battles of my own, I absolutely love "Tales across the battlefield" like this. Again, please keep doing videos like this.
The narrative is freaking awesome, we play wargames for the strategic gameplay of course, but also the role playing, and it's the first time i see that so well incorporated in the recounting of the game, if possible can you include visuals of the battlefield field nextime? I find it dificult to remember everyone's position relative to each other
Great narration - i love the little insights you get into the Heretics general structure and relationships (as well as motives) - the same for the NA forces as well, superb world building man!
this is very nice! if I may make a suggestion, considering I have no clue of your (time-)budget or skillsets, but something like a visualization similar to what situation room does would be really awesome!
@@scannerbarkly it already works for me, first battle report I was ever engaged with and I only know TC from your channel ;) caveat: I was brushing kitten while listening, since the visuals didn't really grip me :P
Please moore....I listened to this for the first time 6 hours ago and I've already listened 3 more times. Amazing narrative, great narration, if I wasn't sold on this table top, I am now
I'll be smarter next time and either take a bunch of screens, or just record the entire thing and edit it down under the story. Or I might do an overhead map and move tokes around in Premier or Photoshop. It will really depend on how long things take and how well I can do them.
@@scannerbarkly these videos are great, the lore is awesome! If you ever record the games they could be a separate vid linked in the description or something. It'd be pretty cool to see the game and separately hear your lore
there is lore on the shades of Belphegore? I have heard of that custom legion before. I'm wondering if is the same one i helped create. Also, a sugestion name for the warwolf: fluffy
@@scannerbarkly you are welcome, but seriously there will be lore? i'm asking becasue i have seem some other people also using a legion for belphegor, and i helped at least one person make a basis for it, just helped with teh initial idea, gave a phrase or two and dropped a sugestion for a special unit.
@@pensador6953 Yeah, I'll likely home brew mine over the course of the campaign, things will happen to them that force some kind of change and I'll develop special rules from that. Let the narrative push the rules, as it were.
@@scannerbarkly ok, good start on the narative them, so far, i can see a defensive focus on them, namely through the commander, his caracteristic is being cautious. like to take his time. and the warwolf can be influenced by him? That i didn't knew. I tought the creature simply obeyed, it absorbig some of his personality is a new one to me.
Thanks for the content/Report! There is not enough on RUclips. That being said, just from the lists alone i knew how this would go. Antioch had no answers. Not for the warwolf, not for the witches. Heavy infantry with heavy flamer is a must in my opinion. Sniperpriest can also help. Decking out each guy with all the Equipment is also a Trap, especially the very pricy armor. Chorister does not have access to the armor list. (The priest also does not but that is a confirmed error via discord/dev)
Apologies for a second comment, but would a top down illustration kind of battle report be possible in future. It would be a little better for following along what is happening.
Yup, that is the plan! Will be working on it for the next time! Just had a lot of learn this time out as I was getting to grips with the rules, new updates AND tabletop simulator. lol
@@scannerbarkly Awesome! Can't wait to see how the campaign plays out. Is there a rough timeframe for these battle reports going forward? Monthly, biweekly?
I'm sure there is an explanation that I either missed or just haven't uncovered yet... but if the artillery witches don't talk, how does he know their names? Lol
I would love to see a Russian orthodox faction in this, cause you have the Catholics and the Muslims (thank god for no Protestants). But I only ever saw one picture of a soldier wearing an orthodox cross.

MORE OF THESE! This is the kind of narrative battle reports that reinforce the foundation of this universe' world building. Very excellent video!
This video sets a high standard for how battle reports should be presented. And I love it!

Definitely surprised to hear half the story from the Heretic's perspective! This battle report was narrated superbly.

This is truly grimdark. It is so good that it leaves that creepy hair on the back of your neck standing up vibes.
Loving this style of battle report; im glad to see this trend continuing!
Very cool alternative for regular battle reports... and faster to watch... and with more immersion!
This is my absolute favourite battle report. It is told so well, I keep coming back to it.
I rarely comment on videos but i just had to say this was the best battle report ive heard from any wargame, it sounds just like a novel. Great stuff!

I want.... no, I need to prep my warchest... when i seven hells will the KS drop. Also great job!
The art for this game gives such heavy wayne barlowe energy
I feel a need to play this now, would be the first tabletop stuff I'd have actually gotten into getting miniatures for
To do things some might deem… unnatural. It is a tale no Antioch would tell you.
I really like this any shot you could make a playlist of all battle reports
This is sick. I've been looking to take a break from 40k...
Damn it, hell won. I hope the good wins next time
So far in the campaign , it's two victories for Hell, two victories for good armies (Trench Pilgrims won one and Papal State New Antioch has a win).
The only thing that would make this battle better would be a battle map. The narrative and storytelling was great though!
Love this format. Do you have any pics of your armies?
I'm painting models for every thing now. In Tabletop Simular we have cut out prepared by one of our friends is the Discord.

Probably best it happened early. That way we don't get years of lore suddenly retconned and ruined
