In loving memory of Tony Dow
April 13, 1945-July 27, 2022
I've never had an older brother, but I consider Tony Dow as an older brother to me. Wally Cleaver is my favorite big brother in TV history. I watch _Leave It to Beaver_ religiously. Rest in heavenly peace, Tony Dow.
A huge piece of television history has gone to rest. Will really be missed.
He is not deceased according to internet sources.
He's dead now. For real this time.
Oh no it's not gone to rest. It comes on MeTV Channel in the morning. It's a free Channel ! I don't have Cable, just an antenna n I am honored to get to watch this show every day, thank goodness. I am so blessed.
Tony n the rest that have gone before us lives forever in our hearts and on this beautiful show.
@@marywegrzyn506 Well Said.💔
Wally was a great smart alec without being one. As far as an actor, his comedic timing is very underrated.
im 74 now grew up watching Leave It To Beaver ,,,l wish l was a kid again had alot of fun in happier times R I P Tony Dow we will see you again someday.
Rest in peace Tony Dow you brought alot of joy to alot of people
I wish I had a dime every time the Beaver said "Hey Wally".
And "Ah gee, Wally!"
Beaver actually said "Gee Wally" a lot more than "Hey Wally."
Wally was the king of the backhanded compliment. I had forgotten how funny he was!
this stuff is so brilliant
Yeah, I laughed out loud at “but gee, dad, you’ve been lecturing the beaver for 13 years now and he’s still pretty stupid.“
When Americans still had innocence. Gone but never forgotten RIP Tony Dow you took a piece of our heart with you ❤️
I BELIEVE THATS WHY I AM SO SADDEN AND HEARTSICK
My condolences to his wife and family😭🌹
Don't you wish the world could get that innocence back where you could leave your doors unlocked let your kids play outside by themselves go to the park by themselves you can't leave your children alone at all anymore it's a sad sad world we live in
@@montibarnett6740 Tears!
So well said.
It was better times then
Was shocking to learn he was 77! Will always think of him as a teenager! RIP, Tony!
RIP Tony Dow!
Thank you for being my TV big brother!
Wally was always my favorite character...Tony Dow is a great actor.
I had the pleasure of meeting Tony and Jerry. They were both such intelligent, personable men. And funny too.
Very down to earth.
Wally was what you wanted in a big brother
Yeah he was my favorite character also
Wally was such a great big brother but I loved when he laughed at Beaver at the table with that makeup on for freckles and him and Larry fighting!
RIP Wally 😞
Amazing, over 50 years later and we are still laughing!
No wonder I had a crush on Wally when I was a kid - I'm now 75 and still have a crush on him
I'm only 35 but I grew up watching this show. I loved him too.
We all had a crush on Wally. I also had a crush on Rick Nelson.
Laughing and crying. Oh My.
@@moemcgovern7345 I used to wonder how he could sing without moving his lips..
Me too, had a big crush on Wally, such a good show, he has a special place in my heart. I am glad he is with Jesus, The cleaver family all Christians, I will see them in God s kingdom, someday. I admire them, thank God for saving us.💜🙏🙋♀️
Rest In Peace, Tony. Another piece of my childhood gone.
I still can't believe that Tony Dow is gone ......... 😭
A very gifted actor and a swell guy!
The perfect Wally. You brought joy to our lives. RIP
Another piece of Americana gone - Tony Dow.
A good man, a good soul.
In the pantheon of childhood television icons,, Tony Dow's unforgettable Wally Cleaver looms large. This is a huge loss for the generation that came of age during the run of the show. R.I.P.- and thanks for the precious (and hilarious) memories.
Always had the biggest crush on Wally!!!
God bless Tony Dow! Great guy and actor. Thanks for sharing!😊
RIP Wally! Always thought he was the unbelievable good brother.
RIP Wally, thank you for the wonderful memories.
Thanks Wally for all the good times. April 13, 1945 - July 26, 2022
You have included one of Wally's greatest lines at 321: In arguing that he take over his parents' job to handle Beaver's problem, "Gee, Dad, you've been lecturing the Beaver for 13 years now, and he's still pretty stupid." Parents give silent agreement.
lol… They were so slapstick hilarious and witty
🤣
This was my favorite show growing up RIP Tony Dow 🙏🙏🙏
He will go on living thru reruns. Leave it to Beaver was my favorite program ever
RIP Tony Dow. May God rest your soul.
The Legendary Wally!!! The best big brother EVER..Always had the BEST goofiest advice EVER...so loved Wally..
A true legend
Good night, Wally! 😢
My crush was on the times he and everyone on there are from. A time we got to wear longer dresses, students weren't rioting, hippies didn't exist, America was strong and Americans loved their country. Not like things were in the later 1960's when I discovered and had a crush on this show.
Seasons 5&6 are two of my favorites, with Beaver’s loss of best friend Larry Mondelo and never really replaced him, Wally, Eddie and Lumpy to me became the shows focus, Wally was clearly the leader of the “Big 3” and they’ll all live on in television history!!
Wally was my favorite character on LITB. I have the DVD box set and watch Seasons 5 & 6 the most. This compilation highlights the reason why. Rest in Peace Tony Dow. And thanks for the many hours of sharing your talent with the world.
RIP Tony Dow. He's gone, but won't be forgotten. He will live on forever in reruns of this iconic show.
Imagine Eddie meeting him at the gates of Heaven. "Hey!!!! What took you so long, Sam? Me and the Lump have been waitin' for you!!!"
July 27, 2022
Rest in peace Tony Dow
Seasons 5 and 6 were by far my favorites as wells as Wally!
Wally , the son every parent wished for . The Beaver the son they ended up getting ! Even at that it wouldn’t be so bad .
Thanks for the memories Tony
Aww.... they were sweet. Beaver had his issues, though :))
Wally was cute.
@@geraldcolsher9642 Most parents end up with Gilbert Bates.
@@gargantuaism ...or Eddie Haskell...😬
@@thomasplinguidy4588 No way Sam!
Wally Cleaver was the kind of brother you could get advice from when you couldn't talk to your parents. The Beaver was always getting into trouble and Wally always tried to bale him out but it didn't always work. Great show taught kids values of right and wrong. Eddie Haskell was a trouble maker glad Wally told him off finally. RIP Tony Dow
Even so Eddie Haskell Ken Osmond God bless his soul too,was a great character ,also a great guy ,like Tony Dow
Thanks to both of them, Tony and Ken engraved their souls into our hearts.
I still watch this show pretty much every day!❤️🇨🇦
Me too!!
Right now I’m binging on tubi
and it’s helping the pain I can only imagine what his wife and family is going through
@@keepitforreally4501 Same here, only I'm bringing on Peacock. And it's helping the pain I can only imagine as what his family and wife is going through. Jerry Mathers as well. We never wanted Tony Dow to die, but we had no choice. It's in God's hands, not ours. When your time comes, your time comes. It is what it is. Am I right? Yes or no?
Wally was a good looking g boy.
Thank Tony for being Wally but you are being Tony are a 1,000 time better! And this is why you will live in a lot of heart.
Those of us lived in these times really had good childhoods. I still watch reruns.
Who’s here after his passing
EVERYONE!
Rest in peace Wally
Thanks! I always thought Wally's scenarios were a little more interesting than Beaver's.
Especially as the show progressed- early on Beaver was more interesting, then it shifted to Wally and his adventures.
@@JasonKTerry But unfortunately they still tried to force it when Wally and his friends interactions were much more interesting than the Beaver's. I wish there were more Wally episodes.
One of the best tv shows ever.
I am in mourning 😭🌹
What a fantastic role model of a soul and spirit of a Boy to Man😭🌹
RIP
He just died..He was a great guy, on and off screen
Terrific compilation, thanks! Tony Dow was so great. I cracked up when he tells Ward, "But gee, dad, you've been lecturing the Beaver for 13 years now, and he's still pretty stupid!" It's like the writers inserted a little in-joke about the whole premise of the series.
I LOVE this show, I want to live in Mayfield ! 💞🤗
I love that they made Mayfield's location ambiguous.
Rest in peace Tony Dow!
This show came on 1957 I was born 1958 I love this show still today iam 64 Wally is one good looking young man he will truly be missed we love you Tony Dow to the world Wally Cleaver😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤🌺🌺🌺🌺🌞⭐
I didn't know that they had smooth operators back then.
Gods speed Tony Dow.
I was a film editor for a local tv station during the mid-Sixties. Watched and edited every LITB episode - the classic boyhood dilemmas and character lines were priceless!
What a cool job. I agree. Some of the writing on that show was brilliant. There was really subtle humor that I appreciate more with age.
What station was that?
@@josephharnett5075 WHAS-TV, Louisville KY
@@jerryrice8860 Thank You 😊
That is so fantastic it’s a souvenir for your memory
Someday when this world fades away and we go to that big sitcom in the sky we can have Wally go to college and Beaver to high school hilarious RIP Tony Dow
RIP Tony Dow, the ultimate big brother.
3:08 - the best part. This has always been one of my favourite episodes. Wally's laugh is so funny.
God Bless Tony and your family, grew up watching this show.
Tony was a pure natural. He had a demeanor and delivery that made you feel that he was just a super, r
That last clip was perfectly placed in this video. Tony was the "cool guy"... and always will be!! RIP Tony! You made this world better!!😥
Oh no Wally you are totally cool. RIP Tony Dow, and thanks.
Grew up watching every episode on reruns coming home after school in the early 1980s.
This was timeless, wry humor, and plenty of life lessons from the brothers.
Dow acted but had to learn the craft on the fly during the series,. Sometimes he can be seen in dialogue with Mathers lip-syncing Beavers lines. But Dow worked to get better with coaches and practiced his lines dutifully not to let down the production. I thought he did well with Wally and never seemed to be awkward in front of the camera.
Hey Wally......
Hey Beav......
When I grew up watching 'Leave It To Beaver' it was more to see Wally 🥰
R.I.P. Tony. Many, many good memories.
Thanks loads for posting these wonderful leave it to Wally compilations. They've been so much fun to watch!
Thanks for letting me know! I really enjoy creating them. Working on some more:)
@@mytvcompilationstation9690 2 years later and I'm still watching them all the time! Any chance that you will indeed create a new set of them?
RIP Tony Dow....you will always be remembered as a tv icon and a good person!
My favorite seasons were 5th and 6th, when Wally, Eddie, and Lumpy were teenagers. Most of those episodes were so much fun to watch!!
TONY in hospice care....rest easy !
Sending Beav around the country for the summer? I'll chip in for that!
He was precious 💕
Ward and June are so damn dapper.

I love that one Why don’t you triple space your life! Oh ! Man, Wally didn’t know just how Cool 😎 he sure was!Wow!
The moustache episode was hilarious!😂😂
R.I.P., Tony Dow ♥️♥️♥️🙏♥️
Wally was my favorite as a teenager. He was so handsome!
I’m really loving this! It’s a nice break from watching the DVDs every night which I love but this puts all the highlights together and I’m really enjoying them🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I'm so glad you like them!! Thanks for letting me know. More coming :))
Loved it!
I was very sad to hear. Tony Dow died 😥what a wonderful person.
RIP Tony! Damn it
R.I.P. Tony Dow!
RIP Tony Dow Thanks for the memories.... 07/28/22 your fans shall remember this date for years to come.
The best!!❤❤😂😂
they gave poor Wally a perpetual lobotomy... and turns out, he was an artistic genius
A lobotomy? But he was always best-dressed, very responsible, intelligent, took up for Beav, defended girls, etc. Lobotomy?
I'm a big fan of his sculptures.
@@mytvcompilationstation9690 But Wally was never a lobotomy patient. 😁 Maybe a little pious... Maybe. He never brought home a b on his report card and was captain of every sport team he played on. He beat up Eddie at least twice hot hassling Beav, etc. Hahaha
Thanks for this video. I miss Tony Dow.
We will never see a tv show like this ever anymore
"Hey Mrs. Cleaver! I'm here to see the beaver!" -Andrew Dice Clay
Extremely well done. Thank you
This is nice. Thanks.
I love leave it to beaver. R.I.P. Tony Dow your always be remembered & loved. So sad to loose you & ward & June & eddie & lumpy & etc.
I remember being a kid in the 80s and after waiting 6 weeks to get cable (remember that big box?) this was one of the shows I was able to watch reruns of because of it and it quickly became my favorite show!😊
RIP Tony Dow✨
